Please go to any other hair salon before considering this one. Edit in response to the “owner” of this “business”: Instead of using your time to create a fake business to boost location ratings on Google Maps to help boost the original business in the EXACT SAME GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION, how about you use your time to teach your stylists how to wash hair? Maybe then the real business’s ratings won’t be so abysmal.

Deirdre Rapple Albert and everyone at Top Secret are so welcoming! I’ve been going to this salon for years and highly recommend! I always get so many compliments on my hair and that all has to do with Albert. They did my hair for my wedding and I loved it! I’ve gotten highlights, extensions, a blow out, and a hair cut and I was happy with everything. I have sent many friends to Top Secret and they all have good things to say. Definitely check out this salon!

Helen Scully-Nisa I had an amazing experience at Xcellent Hair Plaza in Astoria. I decided to try this salon after having a terrible experience at a very trendy place in Flushing and I’m glad I did! Anthony did everything right: he listened to what I wanted, stopped to check in with me to make sure I was happy with what he was doing, and explained what he was doing and why. There was no point where I was worried or felt ignored, which was important to me given prior experiences at other salons. I got a cut and color balayage and I’m thrilled with my results. Everyone at the salon was incredibly friendly and attentive, the prices are very fair, and the quality of work that’s done is stellar!

Kristen Pearson Xcellent Hair Salon is amazing, from the receptionist who is sweet and attentive, she makes sure you are well taken care of, then to the hair washing team(by the way Is the best experience ever). The hair washers give you a message for your scalp that is something you have to come and experience. Then there is Daniel my stylist, Daniel is the head of the stylist he is great at what he does, clients are always satisfied. If you want color he is the one to talk to, he consults on all colors being done, and color any style Daniel Is your guy. Come visit Xcellent Hair Salon, you won’t be disappointed.

Arianna Mateo Rodriguez I loved this place so much! Im Dominican and I loved the vibes and the quality service. I have 3B curly hair so went to get a haircut, I got exactly what I asked for!! I went with a friend who went to get her hair trimmed and she did such a beautiful job! My friend even ended up getting a blowout. The owner Jacky makes this place feel like home, and Maribel who did such a wonderful job was really sweet and patient. I saw Jacky the owner do a hair dyeing and she’s also really amazing. I didn’t take any before and after picture but my friend did. I took one after! I loved the place, and it has already become my favorite

Ivette Piña I saw Briana for my cornrows and 5 Stars – My scalp is grateful and so am I! I’m tender-headed with trust issues when it comes to braiding, but this queen right here changed the game. She was gentle, detailed, and so organized you’d think she was braiding by blueprint. She actually listened to my instructions (rare), kept everything clean and professional, and even showed up on time yes, ON TIME. The braids came out clean, neat, and cute… and the best part? I didn’t have to cross state lines to get them. She’s right near my house, affordable, and now officially my go-to. My scalp didn’t cry, my edges are intact, and I left feeling like a braided goddess. Highly recommend!

Terri Lerman Paul is by far my most treasured hairstylist.I followed him from another salon to Spectrym Hair Salon.This salon is so classy,relaxing,warm and extremely professional.All the staff are friendly and do really beautiful work.After all the trauma my hair had been through from Chemotherapy and radiation,Paul knew how to nurse my hair back to life.He is an exceptional hairstylist and I would follow him anywhere.I think Paul has found his place at Spectrym Hair Salon with all the other professional and friendly hairstylists. I would recommend him to anyone interested in a very experienced, patient and kind hairstylist.

Rosa Martinez Amazing service. First time visiting Garden Hair salon.The whole team its just amazing. I came in with burgundy color I did not like it I was tired of the same color. I found this because is close from home. I requested a free consultation: I talked to Leo I explained I wanted ash brown color and highlights not possible for a black red hair like mine. This place took the challenge and after hours of treatment I got an amazing hair dye with beautiful highlights. I am fascinated with the results. It was worth every penny. This is a trustworthy establishment, very professional and very welcoming. I give them 10 stars!!! This will b my favorite and only place for my hair for now on. Nahir Kass I made an appointment for an emergency hair cut and highlights with Leo. He transformed my botched and terrible hair cut from the day before. It was an incredible experience. The reservation process was quick and easy. The site is super intuitive. The hair cut I received the day before was uneven, choppy and made me look like Olive Oil. Leo inspected my hair and goes- “Don’t worry. I’ll make it even and beautiful. Just sit back and relax.” And relax I did. The entire process of highlight and cut took 2 hours. Which is a sign that you are not being rushed out and they are gently coloring your hair. Once my hair was highlighted and ready it was time for my hair cut. Honestly, I just held my breath thinking that my hair needed to be cut super short to fix the state it was in. Leo took his time and shaped my hair. I am truly thankful for his styling and highlighting. He will give you his true opinion and will be honest about expectations. Thank you Garden Beauty Salon for helping me.

The barber was very professional and was able to give suggestions based on my face shape and hair quality, and the final result was satisfactory! The barber was also very attentive and made sure every detail was perfect. I really like my new hair!

David Lopez Ive been getting my hair cut here for more than 30 years, and with hair stylist Josie for over 25 years. Shes terrific! Ive relocated from Jackson Heights to Flushing then to Forest Hills but always make the trip back here every 6 to 7 weeks. The staff are very friendly and the place is kept very clean and well lit. They have renovated and modernized the salon several times and without closing its doors. They cut and style hair for women, men and kids. I especially enjoy the hair wash after cut. It feels like a massage. Cost is competitive and customers keep coming back which is a great sign. I haven’t tried the spa so can’t speak to it.

I went to dye my hair blonde I told them I wanted something subtle (I also showed them a photo I even told them the dye numbers) first they left my hair white and my hair weak and then to solve it they gave me another bleaching and I dont know what else but They finished killing my hair. They laughed and said I was pretty and everything is ok when I said it wasnt what I wanted. They hurt and burned my entire scalp and hair! Im praying I dont go bald. I sent them a message and they never responded to me to take responsibility for what they did. I respectfully sent them a message hoping for a quick and good response and there was never a response. I am doing this review so that the same thing doesnt happen to anyone else.

Rebecca Mohabir The ladies at the salon transformed my hair completely!! I came in with my hair in three different colors and they made it into a beautiful blonde. They took their time and got it all done in one day which is amazing. I am IN LOVE with my new hair color. Thank you so much, I will definitely be back for touch ups!!

Alexandra T I went to this location back in August 2024 based on reviews. I went as a walk-in. He took me without appointment on a weekend. Luckily theres only one client inside. The reviews were right about how nice and talented this guy is! My hair needed some fixing, I showed him a pic of what I had in mind, he went ✂ in and did a great job! For that Im very grateful! The only down-sides are: the place is smaller than expected and can use some TLC! Also, he did not wash my hair before cutting it! A bit disappointed cuz it was dirty, but I went with it.

Divya Chanani I have been coming to Queens Beauty Parlor for years for threading and waxing services and have never been disappointed. The prices are incredibly reasonable compared to the city. Nisha is especially my go to for waxing services as she makes the entire process seamless and makes you very comfortable and at ease.

Nadia Ali I remember coming to get my brows done here with my sister when she lived in the neighborhood around 10 years ago, and they’re still doing a great job with brows now. Came at 4:30 on a Friday. There was barely any wait and I was in and out for eyebrow threading. The ladies here are personable and nice and listen to what you want (instead of taking off too much brow.) Will be back!

Jessie Yu I’ve been going to David since 2017-2018, so this review is 5 years overdue. Having tried many stylists in the past (been dying my hair since 2010), I have stuck with David ever since he has first done my hair. I have always been particular about my hair color and David has always been incredibly accommodating! Starting from the beginning, David is incredibly accommodating on my various schedules especially since I’ve been driving from Jersey just to see him. He always pays close attention to the reference pictures I show him and the particular details regarding what color I want my hair to be. What I appreciate about David is that he’s honest and tries his best to mimic the pictures but always warns that it won’t turn out exactly like the picture I show. David always walks me through what he plans on doing with my hair (of course) even though he knows I’ve been going for a while and trust his process. He also earnestly cares about the health of my hair and goes out of his way to use less harsh products to maintain the quality of my hair. He has referred me to various products like specific shampoo’s, conditioner’s, and purple conditioner’s. I also come to David when my hair seems particularly dry and he has used masks/treatments for my hair. What is really incredible about David is how he cares about his client’s satisfaction, he is willing to re-tone my hair even after a whole session if I am not happy with the end result. This care and consideration is what I believe puts David above other hair stylists! I appreciate that he is willing to put in the extra effort to make sure I love it. An important thing to note is that I have long, thick hair, so our full head sessions usually take about 8 hours long. David is always incredibly patient, and never tries to rush the long process. We’ve had to start at 12pm and end at around 9pm when his shop usually closes around 7pm. I have brought family to David, and he had fixed my cousin’s cut & color hair disaster in the past. David is someone I highly recommend as well as the rest of his staff. I want to give a special shout out to Kelly, David’s assistant, for giving great washes and also taking the time to do my hair. She is incredibly sweet and very meticulous as well. If you want to find a place where you can consistently go to and not fight for a place on the waiting list, I highly recommend David! I have attached my numerous pictures from different timelines of my life as well as different lightings to really show off his work. Another commendable note, whenever my hair starts growing out, the color still look good because he makes sure to blend it.

Ahnaf Chowdhury I would give 0 stars if I could, came for a trim on a very basic wolf cut. He took all the volume out of my hair and made me look like a circus clown 1 week before my wedding. Sped through the entire haircut like it was a race, one second I have a full head of healthy hair, 5 minutes later everything is gone. Dude smelled like cigarettes and went to color another clients hair mid cut. You’re better of buying clipper and shaving your head than coming here.

Jenny Lau This was my first time coming and David did not disappoint! I’m very happy with my colouring and he was extremely welcoming too. My balayage and haircut took around 5 hours so I was even offered snacks to munch on from their snack basket — very thoughtful. Communication was also very quick and smooth (I DMd him via Instagram). He also speaks fluent Cantonese and mandarin. Pricing was also extremely reasonable compared to what I had been looking at in the city (service rate was $400). I’m glad I have found my go-to hair colourist for dark Asian hair — I’ll be coming here from now on. Thank you, David!

Olivia Rose As you can tell if you read my reviews, I stick with the old and familiar. This Salon has been in my neighborhood forever. I was there the first day it opened and I have been going there ever since. I trust them with my hair and their stylist are the only ones that I trust to cut my hair. They dye, wash-and-set, deep condition, weaves, whether its a sew in or taking out, and they accommodate all hair types. I Have a few favorite stylist and washers but they are all good. If you want your hair washed and scratched like no other find auntie she does it the best. I highly recommend the salon and their prices are unbeatable. They have begun to charge for bobby pins 4 pin curls so bring your own pins. Stay off following c-19 guidelines but before c-19 we used to get coffee and donuts and orange juice. They love their customers and it shows.

Sharae Dolce I am a long term client at this fabulous salon! The salon is definitely high end, but the cost is absolutely worth it! The hair techs are friendly and experienced! From color, cut, hair design, you will be very pleased! Just be ready for the compliments coming your way! Everyone is professional and the salon is well maintained!

Amanda Star4 I had to detangle my own hair. 3c hair. I should add Im dominican and the #1 dominican salon couldnt untangle my dominican hair. After telling me it would take her all day, I snatched that comb and took 15 mins total. Got conditioner all over my shirt, arms and purse. They specialize in permed hair and short hair. They charged me $65. Result was cute but thats not all I care about. I shouldnt have to touch a comb.

Angela Barnes Once again Camilo was able to completely transform my hair , I wasn’t completely sure what I wanted but Camilo worked with me giving me his input and together we were able to come up with a look that I was very happy with. Camilo knows the science and chemistry of hair well and is very diligent in explaining details , he’s always full of ideas . I had the Magic Sleek straightening treatment along with highlights and a new cut.

Christine Morgan I came across this AMAZING hair salon and I cannot be more grateful. Pablo had did an amazing job cutting and styling my hair, after three years of not cutting it. He was patient, uplifting and made me very comfortable during the whole experience. Pablo and Camilo recommended me hair products and brushes that would help with detangling. Camilo was so sweet and uplifting as well. I enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of the hair salon. Definitely a 10/10!

Zak Ezzaoui I’ve been going to get haircuts from Camilo since September and I can honestly say it is the best experience cutting my hair that I’ve ever had. The customer experience is great, very friendly atmosphere! Camilo always does a perfect job with my haircuts and explains the whole process with you as he does it. Would recommend to anyone male or female. It can be difficult to find a barber or hairdresser that you can trust but I don’t have to worry about that here!

K Kseniya (Kay) I was a walk in here for dyed hair (black)and a haircut (shoulder length hair). Paid 150$. A bit way too pricey for me but great service and energy. Everyone was so nice and kind. They even have a little closet for you to put your things in. Hair looks amazing and so soft!!! Thank you !

Fashion and Fckboys This salon is great and the best part is they are knowledgeable on 4c hair. Another thing I love is that they pay attention to direction and there is no attitudes when I am expressing how I want my hair done. This salon is consistent and the customer service is top tier. 10⭐️

Reneesa T Updated review: I gave it 5 stars before. I used to love going to this place before but yesterday I went and I noticed that they increased the price by sooo so much. All I did was haircut and style with blow dry I didn’t even use rolls. I was charged $95.. $95???!!! For haircut? I mean she obviously scammed me. I went to flushing for wash, cut and blow dry and I remember not paying more than $40. To be honest I understand they are spending some time doing the hair but I still don’t believe just doing haircut and blow dry should be near $100. As a student that was my whole day worth money. I will not be going back there again. This isn’t Manhattan that a haircut supposed to be this expensive. They ripped me off for haircut that don’t even look identical I wanted a lot of layers she only gave me two.

Anny Mariano First time coming to this Dominican hair salon and will be coming back again. I have thick curly hair, and wanted a nice blowout. I was very satisfied with the results. Service was great, I ask for them to not use any products that can affect my curls and they respected that. I loved how they made me feel, treated me like an client they have had for a while.

rien gonzales This is my first to write review. I’ve been looking for a good salon/ hairstylist for soooo long!! I’ve wasted so much money before and not worth it. So on Tuesday while just browsing I came across to Mos SaLon in Flushing. I read the reviews and I can attest that Jason is very talented. I showed the picture that I wanted and Jason explained everything and recommended what best for my hair.. It took hours but it was so much worth the money!! Each time that Jason will put something, Jason will explained it first, which was very nice and that’s how it should be.. All in all, I was so happy and even recommended to my friends.

Yoon SH (NYster) $15 for cut & wash meant another round of detailed cuts. The gentleman with dyed blond hair named Tony takes his time and make sure it comes out perfectly. I went in on Sunday morning & got an easy parking on Northern Blvd. Ive been trying to find a new place and couple of place not bad but a bit disappointing. No issues here. One of the best cuts I ever suffered. Definitely get wash for the extra $5 as he made sure the cut came out better than the pre-wash cut. Oh, he does NOT speak English but a reference pic + Google translate more than does the job. Asian hair is best left to an Asian no matter the base language. BTW: I do NOT give out 5 stars just for the heck of it.

Winnie He Good service, but I did not get what I asked for. I know that its hard to get exactly the same color or cut you request, but I showed them pictures of the style and the color I wanted and didnt get it. They cut my bangs too short, but the main problem was the hair coloring When they showed me color samples, they kept recommending purple, saying it would look good on me, and I kept rejecting it. Instead, I asked for a dark brown with red undertones, but when they finished drying my hair after the dye, it looked nothing like what I had asked for, and I realized they put purple undertones in, even though I said I didnt want purple a hundred times. The end result isnt ugly, but it feels like they ignored my request and injected their own opinion. They didnt do a bad job, but I would really recommend customers be extremely firm when they make their requests.
