Nnennaya Walker I don’t usually write reviews but I feel as though this is necessary. I went in last weekend for a lift and color correction and left with tears streaming down my face. When Stephanie Vega began working on my hair, I asked if I would have time get a gel manicure and pedicure and the hairstylist said “yes! of course” underestimating the time she would take on my hair. The nail tech began taking off my gel pedicure that was still in very good condition and I was left in slippers for a few hours. Long story short, I did not have any down time to get my gel pedicure done and I was left with unfinished work. As for my hair, the hair stylist began bleaching my hair without doing a test strand first. Once she finished bleaching my hair, she touched up the roots, and washed my hair. Then, proceeded by adding a toner and washing my hair one last time. My hair was ready for styling and the hair stylist said it was absolutely necessary for me to cut my hair so she chopped off 3 inches. She then proceeds to by blowdrying my hair. Once she finishes, she starts adding her finishing touches of hair products and states she is done. I took one look at the mirror and immediately started crying hysterically at how terrible my hair came out. My roots were curly, hair frizzy, hair cut very choppy, and an uneven tone and blotchiness to my hair. In exchange, the hair stylist offered me a shot of alcohol… I ended up doing my own hair at the salon and having to use a brown box dye on my hair the following day. My experience was horrific.. For a hairstylist who went to school for this, you should know your limits. 3 weeks later… I was contacted by the owner and was told in exchange for deleting this post, Michelle would do my hair personally as she has 40 years of experience. Customer satisfaction is not their top priority. There is always good and bad when running a business, the bad shouldn’t be swept under the rug. I hope this post can help those who are looking to go to the best salon. I have since then done my hair elsewhere.

Andrea Sanchez When I came to synergy it was actually my first time ever coloring my hair!! I was so nervous at the beginning but right from the consultation I knew I was in good hands! Michelle is so sweet and I could easily tell not only does she deeply care about her work but she loves what she does, and it’s because of that passion that her work is impeccable!! The staff was so sweet as well, very kind and welcoming!! I definitely will be returning and I highly recommend synergy ❤️

Jennifer Hernandez I really enjoyed being styled by Maria. Not only was she not afraid to voice her recommendations but she really listened to my thoughts and ideas on my hair. She was easy to speak with, caring and compassionate. She had a diverse knowledge of hair and trends and explained everything with ease. You could really tell that she not only knew her craft but was ready to share in that knowledge. At the time that I first went to her for styling I hadn’t had my hair done in 5+ years and it was super long and boring. I was nervous to sit with someone new but Maria made me feel at ease from the start with her positive energy and welcomed me into her salon like it was her home and I was Family. In the end she cut my hair and colored it but more than that she gave it life again and I felt rejuvenated. My hair looks great and I feel fabulous! The one thing I didn’t like was the washing chairs weren’t comfortable. However, I highly recommend this salon. If you’re looking for a laid back but professional and not snobby/uppity Westchester salon - make yourself an appointment here. They are great.

Laura G Maria is an incredible hair stylist that doesnt just fulfill a basic hair cut, she creates an entire experience revolving around your hair goals. The first time I stopped in for a cut, Maria started working on my hair with no wash. I was in shock and so skeptical. I have to be honest, when I left the salon I called my sister and told her "I just got the BEST haircut of my LIFE!". Maria works wonders!! She really proved me wrong on the dry cut, and now its what I ask for every time. Not only do I love what Maria does to my hair, I love watching her work. Im consistently in awe of her enthusiasm and passion for her industry. I highly recommend Aria Hair and Beauty salon. It is not a run of the mill haircut place, it is an entire curated experience revolving around you, your hair, your hair goals, and more.

Sarah Washington I’ve officially stop coming here after being a customer for approximately 14 years. This salon has not been the same since Melanie left. They only cater to the Hispanic community and treat them extra friendly; meanwhile, all black customers get is overcharged and heat damage to their hair because the dryer is on the highest setting burning your hair. Dori, the owner of the salon is very kind and I have never had a negative encounter with her. The two woman that work at this establishment daily act one way when Dori is in the building and a whole other when she is not present.

Tory Robinson I went to Doris for years and I always revive the hair style I want

sloane moses First time customer at establishment, they have poor business practices. The prices change for different people. My daughter has shoulder length hair was told $45 fir wash conditioner and blow then charged $55. I can’t argue about a what a business charges, but watching them changes prices for their sub par service was a turn off. If they did an excellent job, I wouldn’t be wasting my time to review. However, the service was poor, and with a blow my daughters hair lacked the body and bounce. They suck! Only people who go here have been going there for years because they don’t want to travel for quality service.

Kristen Cezimbra I have been going here for 3 years now and by far this the best hair salon I have ever been to! Leanne is the best hair stylist Ive ever had! I highly recommend this salon. Everyone here is wonderful and I always leave with the cut and color I ask for! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Also the sweetest and most sincere people here who aim to please!

Lily Squires Kelsi and staff are friendly and talented. I am one of those customers that let my hair grow out of style until I realize I need a cut. Even though the style has outgrown, it still looks good. That is a sign of a good cut!

Stephanie Fried I love love bomb so much! Have been going there for 5 years and Ive loved every color and cut Ive ever gotten. Plus great atmosphere and clients- I actually get excited to go. Super relaxed and friendly. Coming from Manhattan and having tried a few different salons in Westchester I was so happy to find the perfect hair salon. Highly recommend!

Dino Zonetti I have been coming to Hair Lounge for a few years now, and all I can say is that Everytime I come in, I am treated as family. Nicole has been fantastic to work with a flexible schedule. My kids love her as well. 5 Stars isnt enough to rate this establishment.

Shakeira L A great professional and friendly atmosphere. The stylists are warm and always make every effort to satisfy customers. Ilene is very skilled in her field and I admire that she is always seeking to new knowledge and getting trained, using effective methods for hair loss etc. I can’t say enough about this business but just go and experience it for yourself. Joe Higgins I have been to several locticians and Expressions is top-notch. This salon is comfortable and the ambience is great. I have sisterlocks and I never fail to get compliments from others. Ilene is great with repairing locs and contrary to other reviews, the prices are great compared to others I have been charged. Give them a try and you wont be disappointed.

Iris Okang Experts in all types of natural hair. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10yrs and my locs have flourished since the first day I started them here. Edgar Machado Freddy and his brother Willie are excellent and experienced and credentialed barbers. Ive been going to them for years and always receive compliments on my haircuts. I tend to change styles often from low cesars to fades to tape ups and during the winter when I grow my hair longer theyre able to give me a more gel styled look. Both are fluent in Spanish and English. Ive found my barbers for life.

Alexandra Castano Love, Will & Freddy (Barbers) which I know them before been at Vilmas, my husband loved they work as Im too because I have very short hair. I really recommend it but I also recommen to make appointment at head of time.

-ZokZok - Not a bad place to get a haircut but the customer service is extremely unprofessional. I am not a new client and I was given an appointment time for the haircut but when I arrived there was another client in the chair. I was told to wait a few minutes. The few minutes turned into 15, 30, 45 and I just left since it looked like the other client was still nowhere close to being done. I wasted an hour of my time, and left with no haircut. In my opinion this is a highly unprofessional way to treat your loyal clients and i will not set my foot in this place again.

Raresticks My barber Brian (Suite #204) has his own room at this modern and comfortable location. Easy to get to with ample free parking. Great customer service and a real talent for hair cutting. You won’t be disappointed!

Magdalena Reel I went to Creative Fingers Bunnie was the stylist. The atmosphere was friendly. I wanted a pixie cut, I felt my hair was damaged, but I was assured all I needed was wash conditioner & trim. My hair looks beautiful. Bunnie did her magic! Thank you

Jovan Aristi My son went to get his her braided. They said they can supposedly do braids. His hair came out worse walking out of the salon then when he had his braids in for 4days and was stilled charged. Verify the people indicating they can style are competent! Terrible service!

Ilaine Perez I am so greatful to Salon Armando (studio#14). My hair was in such bad shape and i had trust issues with anyone touching my hair. I had lost contact with Armando, I was super happy to find him at this location. There is nothing better than to go to a hairstylst and just sit in a chair and TRUST! the hairstylist work with your eyes closed. I go in looking horrible and come out looking fabulous. I recommend him to all my friends. One of my friends his client now drives almost 2 hours to get her hair done!! Now thats speaks for its self. Armando you ROCK! thank you for all the wonderful years of having you as my hairstylist and for choosing this location to provide your services to the public. :)

Maria Irizarry Armando has been my stylist for a long time and he is extremely talented! I would follow him anywhere not only because of the great job he has done on my haircuts, color, and style, but also because of his friendly personality. His station is always clean and organized. I recommend him to everyone!

DANTE Aquilano We are soo happy we found this hairdresser. EBONA has been a lifesaver. She did my daughter shair a month ago and we loved how creative, loving and fast she did her hair. My daughter wanted a purple flower in her head and Ebona out done herself. We loved how clean and professional she is. Her place is clean and she has a warm welcoming atmosphere. My 5 year old daughter always cries when she gets her hair done and usually getting her hair done takes 4 hours. With Ebona it took about 2 hours and to be honest this is the nicest hairstyle she has ever had. We have been recommending her to many people so far. For anyone who is thinking about going to Hair me out I would highly recommend her.

Kate Maloney Great experience with Ebonea. She detangled and blew out my daughter’s hair without any pain or complaints. This was a relief given prior experience. Her box braids look great. Ebonea gave a lot of helpful tips and advice for proper care and maintenance of her braids and natural wear. Will return!

Liza Felix Going into the shop knowing what you want(locs) but not know or trusting the process…Ebonea knew what size, the dos and dont’s of maintaining the hairstyle. 4 months in and living the process.

Haley Baron I had a great experience with Melissa at La Isabella salon. It was my first time getting a curly cut so I was a bit nervous but Melissa made the process super simple by talking me through everything from products to her technique. She was super sweet and made me feel comfortable while in her chair. I love my cut and the styling. I will definitely be going back to keep my shape up.

Joan Dinowitz I booked a curly haircut appt online with Melissa (owner) hoping she could fix my unruly nest. I’m not that focused on my hair and wear it in a pony tail most of the time but I thought as a fully adult woman I should have a proper cut. (Also, if you see my other reviews I’d had a bad experience recently) Melissa exceeded expectations. My curls look healthy & bouncy and free from frizz and heaviness. This is probably the best single haircut I can remember. FYI I love what Melissa created so much that I haven’t worn a pony tail even once since I left La Isabella Salon a week ago! Bonus: no waiting , COVID safety A+, no hard sell for products. I will not be going anywhere else from now on.

Tamara Green Disappointing Experience - Consistently Late and Unprofessional. I have given Milissa of La Isabella Hair Salon three chances to improve, but unfortunately, my experiences have been consistently negative. Milissa is notoriously late for appointments, often leaving clients waiting without any updates. When asked about the delays, she snaps at customers and fails to address the issue professionally. On my last visit, Milissa rushed through my haircut in just 5 minutes, and it was clear she didnt take the time to check her work. The curly style blow dry was a joke. She gummed up my hair with a ton of product and through me under the hooded hair dryer. The final result was awful... uneven and far from the quality that I expect for the prices she chargest. In fact, I had to rewash and style my hair when I arrived home. Additionally, Milissa frequently double and triple books herself, leading to an overcrowded and chaotic salon environment. This lack of organization only adds to the overall frustration. I cannot recommend Milissa or this salon to anyone seeking a reliable and professional hair care experience. Dont waste your precious time or money.

Kathy Fusca I went to this salon to try out their blow outs. I got a wash and set, but i brought my own hair products. Overall all they did a great job. Anna the owner did my blow out. She did not use a flat iron which i loved! Great place for a wash and set with a great price. I will be going back soon.

Ashley J I love this salon! I notice first timers and those less assertive tend to be nervous. It always helps to call ahead so you can go first,but you learn how to work your way around the salon over time. Another tip, If you are very sensitive to heat, let them know ahead of time, so they can place you with someone who is prepared to go easy. This is the only salon I go to after a long search this is definitely the best salon in White Plains.

Leyla Lopez The lady that cut my daughters hair was nice and she did a good job but the owner was rude from the moment we walked in. As soon as we walked in the owner didnt even greet us, she was just so rude to us like if we were wasting her time.I had called earlier in the day and said I would be there around 5 to take my daughter for a haircut. We got there at 5:10, they close at 6 so as soon as we walk in the owner says the other lady can cut my daughters hair but no wash and dry only cut. We got there at 5:10, they had more than enough time to wash, cut and dry my daughters hair since they were not closing for 50 min. I said fine I understand you are closing just cut it. I decided to stay for the cut because I didnt have time to go elsewhere. I should have walked right out, the way the owner kept staring at us. At the end she charged me $25 for the cut without even drying or washing. I handed her the money and she didnt even say thank you or thanks for coming or even goodbye. She was so rude! She will never get any money from me ever again. I rather spend more at a salon where the owner is at least a professional and knows how to treat her customers. I dont understand how a business owner can be so rude and unprofessional!

Eva Pearls Update: I did my Bayalage with Rocilia and it was honestly one of the best decisions Ive made . Ive been doing the Keratin there for a while with Claudia, but I am pleased to say that Rocilia who is the owner is very very good at hair color. I really enjoyed my experience today. I recommend the salon the ladies are very nice, very experienced and knowledgeable. The prices are very fair and Im happy.

Elizabeth Hansbury What a wonderful surprise!! Called to have a Keratin Treatment last minute on a Saturday. The entire staff could not have been more helpful to schedule me in for the appointment. The whole experience was delightful - a great group of people and funny!!

Mel Bethel Rocilia is Dope! Claudia is less experienced, but does a decent job w.wash/blow. The salon specializes in Keratin treatments, weaves, and Bridal/Bridal Party Styling. Rocilia, the owner, is Super sweet and highly recommended.

Jucely Cravo Jimena, she was great! Awesome personality ! She did amazing job on my husbands haircut, took her time,makes you feel that you want come back ... Clean salon: make sure that she cleans the scissors ,the brush before uses it,the whole salon clean ! Environment :pleasant and great price! $20! I highly recommend it.
