The Best 18 Hair Salon in Rochester, NY (part 2)

Patti Holland I relocated back to the area and needed to find a new hair stylist, after a 13 yr relationship with my previous stylist. Some of you may appreciate how hard this can be! My hair is fine and as I’ve aged it has become a bit thinner and more wavy. I was growing out a chin length shaggy bob and wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue down that road or go shorter. Karlie was amazing to work with. She listened to me, asked questions to be clear on what I was looking for, played around with my hair to get a sense of its texture, etc. Together we decided on a short cut. She gave me an expert cut using a razor and I love my new style! It feels fresh, brings out its natural wave, is stylish and easy to care for. I highly recommend both Scott Miller salon and Karlie. I also had the most amazing facial with Christine. She took the time to listen to my concerns and expertly recommended an approach for the facial for my skin and its condition. I don’t think I’ve ever had a facial with someone so skilled and knowledgeable. She ended with a neck massage that soothed my stiff neck. It was such a renewing treatment. My skin looks and feels wonderful and I have a plan for my aging skin going forward that I feel comfortable with and is manageable for me.

Coral Johnson I haven’t had this great of an experience at a salon in years! Thank you for listening and communicating throughout my entire appointment. I’ve had scalp and hair issues for years and Bernadette was incredibly respectful and patient with me. I actually came in to get a fix on a lousy haircut from a different salon and was pleasantly impressed with Scott Miller salon. I’m trying to grow my hair out but have had to part with a lot of length to begin the process of healing and growth. Right now I have a shorter curly bob and am not ashamed to show off the cut and style that she did on my hair. Thank you for everything, so glad I chose your salon-a high end salon has been worth the money!

Paintbox Kids Art Center I cant say good enough things. I went in this past Saturday, I was feeling pretty low and had pushed myself to get out and do something nice for myself. Rosanna (spelling may be wrong) who is a beautiful Italian woman who works there greeted me and she was absolutely lovely. She is incredibly skilled at applying makeup as well. I appreciated that she listened to what I needed and was interested in as opposed to what I did not want or need, and the products I got are EXCELLENT I am loving them. They do not work on commission, and the people that work there are genuinely good at what they do and enjoy it. I was watching a couple other makeup artists work as well and they were also fantastic. Side note, I take my daughter to the salon as well and they also do a wonderful job.

Cassandra Danglis I had the most amazing experience today just before a maternity photo session. I came for hairstyling and decided to add eye makeup if possible, because feeling ready for photos while pregnant can be tricky! Everyone was incredibly kind and generous (even quickly fitting me in for makeup last minute!). I felt so cared about. I left feeling amazing and so excited for my photos.

Angie Newstrom I brought my 4 year old in and everyone was amazing with her and stopped to talk with her. The salon made the experience wonderful for a little girl so excited to get her hair done. Bernadette was exceptional with my daughter and gave her beautiful hair. Highly recommend.

Tiffanie Kaine I just started going to this salon from another salon and I couldn’t be happier with Ms. Avy’s hair services. My hair has never been healthier, softer or shinier! She takes her time to make sure she gives clients the best services. She has many many years of experience and stays current with hair trends. I highly recommend.

Shae P Literally have been going to her for only a few months but my hair has been feeling healthier, growing faster, and much easier to comb! Ms Avy is literally the best and so kind as well, Id highly recommend going to her.

Chelle C I relocated to Rochester and needed to find a new stylist. Unfortunately, the first person I went to was an absolute disaster. Dirty shop, unprofessional, and butchered the haircut that she claimed to be very experienced in doing. Luckily, I found Ms Ava! She was able to salvage the hot mess the previous “stylist” had made of my hair and gave me an expertly executed short cut...which is what I wanted. I love my hair and felt so comfortable with Ms Ava. She is professional, kind, patient and very skilled. She listened to my traumatic experience with the other person and assured me that she would work it out. She did that ten times over! I would highly recommend Ms Ava for your hair care needs. She is a talented stylist and a beautiful person!!

Quin La Ms. Avy’s Beauty Enhancement is a very professional business owned and operated by a professional, knowledgeable stylist who cares about you AND your hair. She offers services to enhance and protect your hair. She is unlike other beuticians, she has a true interest in making and keeping your hair healthy. Her business is run timely and she is always willing to accommodate. I can’t express how pleased I am with her services and professionalism. She loves hair and it shows through the enthusiasm she shows when performing her craft. Her services have transformed my damaged hair into a glorious crown I am proud of. I recommend her services for all hair types. Ms. Avy keep sharing your passion with others through your work!

Brittany Watts I have been coming to Ms. Avy for almost a year now. She is TRULY Heaven sent! I moved here from another state and wanted to get serious about my healthy natural hair journey. I researched and found Ms. Avy; my hair has been flourishing ever since! I always enjoy my visits. She is a pleasure and takes time to get to know her clients. Ms. Avy loves what she does and I always feel special each time I come in. She will honestly tell you what your hair needs and goes above and beyond to deliver each time. My hair was shorter than this when I first came in, in March of 2021. Presently, my hair is healthier, it takes in moisture much better and I always get compliments on the shine that LASTS! I am a customer for life!

Angelina Simmons Maddi have me such an amazing experience at this salon! I wanted partial highlights and knew with having previously box died hair it would be difficult, even taking a couple of sessions but with just one session with her she got me exactly what I wanted! She was so understanding and knew exactly how to go about giving my hair life again, I love this place so much already!

Mary Long First, Id like to say how gorgeous the shop is. Secondly, Anne Marie did such an amazing job with my daughters hair! I would definitely recommend going to Blush for your hair needs! I am looking forward to trying out their nail salon as well.

Emily Rowlands Amy and Claire did hair and makeup for my wedding this summer. They did such a great job for everyone in my bridal party and for myself. They are great to work with and I would absolutely go back to them for any event hair/makeup needs.

Sasha Kour Love love love coming here!!!!! Every time my hair looks fabulous and I typically come at least once a month just for a wash and blow out as well as my cut and colors. I have tried all the stylists and there could not be a sweeter group of girls anywhere! Also had them do my hair and makeup for an event and I’ve never felt more beautiful.

Andrea LoTurco Firstly, the studio is the cutest thing ever! Everything is so aesthetically pleasing and very much tailored to the client! It is spacious and has a huge window with lots of natural light so it feels very open in there. There is a little snack bar with treats as well as Whatever drink you prefer! Also, she has a dang ice machine! I love a drink with ice so that is such a nice touch. You can tell that Abbi Was so intentional about the space because everything in there feels cohesive with her brand and branding Colors. That’s just the beginning, the intentionality makes me as the client feel at home and in good hands because you can tell a lot of work went into the small details of the space In general. Abbi Is one of the most kind, genuine and open-minded people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! She truly seeks to provide her client with a great experience as well as a great result! I love the fact that she continues to seek out education opportunities to hone Her craft and she doesn’t keep it to herself. She is a huge advocate for educating other hairstylist and sharing how she has learned and grown in her business. One of the things that sets her apart, I feel, is her genuine love and care for people beyond a paycheck. She helps to customize my hair color or extensions Specifically to me. With her, it is not just a one-size-fits-all, but she takes so many other things into account to give you the best hair for you As an individual. I have been with Abbi For two years now, and I have never loved my hair more! I get compliments daily on my hair and people are truly shocked when I tell them that I have extensions in Because they are that seamless and undetected. She has provided me with the education as well to continue to allow my hair to thrive outside of the salon. I feel truly equipped to care for my hair and a healthy way And protect its longevity! I truly feel more confident, more myself and like a rockstar with my hair on a daily basis. I cannot recommend the salon and Abbi more!!

Ray Chill Abbi is the absolute best! Found her on a whim while strolling through Instagram & I can only wish I found her sooner! It’s literally like just hanging out & catching up with a bestie all while getting beautified at the same time. I highly recommend her to anyone interested in getting extensions; she is the right choice!

Kelsea Wemett Abbi is incredible! She is the first and only person that I have trusted to color my hair and have a big hair chop right before I got married. Her focus is on extensions and longer hair, BUT she does a great job for my shorter hair! She truly takes the time to sit with the client before and figure out exactly what they want. Always love the color, cut and blowout I get! And her new salon is fantastic!

Ashley Rousseau I can be so picky about my hair extensions since I have super fine hair but I LOVED how Abbi did them! She even blended them in so nicely that we didn’t have to color my real hair at all. Highly recommend :)

Madison Kaltenbach Walking into ASH + IVORY, you immediately feel welcomed by the cozy decor, and the amazing view of Monroe Ave. Abbi is by far the most amazing person, business owner & stylist all in one. She covers all the bases and always willing to work with your schedule, need, and wants to meet your expectations. She’s organized, and professional when it comes to running her business, and will always make you feel more like a friend than a client. I could go on and on about how great this place is, and how great Abbi is- but overall I HIGHLY recommend checking out ASH + IVORY!

Lexie Sun I had my first-ever balayage today, and it was a fantastic experience! Lydia did an incredible job with the styling—she’s amazingly talented, professional, and attentive. She offered great suggestions and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. The entire team at the salon was welcoming and friendly, and the space itself is clean, comfortable, and inviting. I couldn’t be happier with the results! I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Definitely a 10/10 recommendation!

Gabby LaForce Salon Marcè, specifically, Lydia always comes through!! Another solid cut & color from the fabulous Lydia! I’m so lucky to have found her early on in my travels to Rochester - 10/10 would recommend!

Sarah Alexandra Tydings Rivajeta is seriously the best hair stylist I’ve ever had! She completely transformed my hair after it had been severely destroyed by bleach from a different salon in another state. She was completely honest with me when I asked to balayage my hair again and told me I needed to wait and grow it out. I am so grateful for her honesty— my hair is now the healthiest it’s been in years from regular haircuts with her and taking her advice with styling etc. Rivajeta has such solid technique and is so attentive to detail. She always makes my hair look so elegant and healthy. Hannah, the salon manager, is so incredibly kind as well! I truly love this salon and highly recommend it.

Diana Miceli I wasn’t able to get in to see my stylist, and on a whim I made an appointment at Salon Marcé. From that first phone call to schedule a cut and color to the moment I left the salon, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. Hannah was incredibly kind, offering me snacks and tea throughout my appointment. Andrea is INCREDIBLY talented and a true professional. She was meticulous with my highlights and gave me the subtle warmth I was looking for. She also gave me one of the best cuts and blowouts of my life (this is next day hair). Plus she’s simply a sweet person. Could not recommend more.

Claudia Monet Andrea trimmed and layered my hair recently. I haven’t gotten a professional haircut in 7 years so I was very nervous, but she was kind and did a wonderful job! I will be going here from now on :)

Ashley Britton Hannah Lucas makes dreams come true! It was hard for me to leave Scott Miller, but I am so glad I did because she achieves my hair goals like they never did! (Both cut and color!)

Andrea Forte I absolutely loved this salon. Very trendy and the shopping was great. Cute boutique inside . Not only was the salon beautiful .My pedicure lady Kim was great. Her and her Co worker Andrea had just invested in a brand new space. Can you believed they worked together for 27yrs at Park ave salon prior. Highly recommend

Remy T This was my first time at Mb Studio and the interior of the salon itself is very bright and has a super cute and inviting atmosphere. Really laid back and friendly, also I didnt feel pressured to buy any products on my way out which is always appreciated. Got my hair cut and highlighted by Brianna, she did an AMAZING job, definitely just found my new hairstylist for life! Ive never had a haircut be exactly what I wanted but she nailed it on my very first visit and I couldnt be happier with my new look. Definitely go see her, Im sure youll be just as happy with the results as I am!!

Tania Ring Kimmie is a wonderful hairstylist and nail technician! I have been going to her for 25years! Love her and her insights and professional knowledge! She always makes me feel cared about, listened to and makes me feel pretty to boot!

Bianka Lorenzo Had a lash lift and eyebrow wax with Adriana and my results were soo amazing. I’m very precise with my eyebrows and she was able to get the right the first try. Professional, kind and a very good conversationalist. Will definitely be back, thank you Adriana! :)

Tammy Swales Metzler I have been going to Rock Paper Scissors Salon and Med Spa since the day it opened. I would never go anywhere else. RPS has an amazingly talented team that make you feel welcome and part of something special when you arrive and perfect when you leave. I cant recommend every single one of them enough.

Danielle Morley I have been coming to Teriann for 5 years. Teriann colored my hair red 5 years ago. I am naturally a brunette. I come back to her for root touch ups and semi-annual cuts. During the fall time we also throw low-lights on my hair and I’m always so pleased with how it turns out. I always walk away so very happy after spending time in her chair and seeing the consist beautiful result. I constantly get compliments from family, friends, and sometimes strangers about my hair. Teriann is an amazing human being and I love being in her company and in her skillful hands.

Christina Fluman Ive been going to Rock Paper Scissors Salon for a couple of years now and it is always SO wonderful. Everyone is super friendly, and they really listen to you when you tell them what you would like to do with your hair. My stylist has taught me so much about my own hair and takes time to explain to me the process of coloring and maintaining healthy hair. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Cohen Sprague This salon is absolutely incredible. Staff to owner, everyone is so unbelievably kind. Arley has been my stylist for awhile. He consistently provides detailed information on how to handle my hair and goes above and beyond to provide the extra information for all the little things that might bother me with my hair care even if its unrelated to what Im doing that day. He even gave wonderful advice to my girlfriend who wasnt a customer there at the time. Not to mention how incredibly affordable hair care is here compared to the area. All around I couldnt recommend another place in Rochester to find quality service! I will go here for my haircuts every time for as long as I can!

P D My old salon closed up shop and moved to a new location that was outside of my range. Decided to give this place a shot and Kasha had an opening for me. The haircut was great and Kasha was super friendly and welcoming. Happy to have found my new permanent salon and stylist. Would absolutely recomend to anyone.

Sarah Peters This salon is wonderful. 1. You are welcomed in a genuinely kind manner. No snotty reception here. 2. Every stylist is completely trustworthy. My experience is with Thomas and Arlie, and both are Godsends. They know which cuts work well with your face shape, hair type, and how much effort you put in. 3. Its GORGEOUS, completely tidy and fresh. 4. The quality of the overall salon experience far surpasses larger salons in the area. They focus on hair and do a fabulous job. 5. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try. You will be glad you did.

Sandra Glanton I love this salon and the people in it! My stylist is Rose, and she is very talented. I am always happy to see everyone when I arrive and I leave feeling refreshed and pleased. One thing you need to do, however, is to correct the spelling of the salons name. It is Thomas Laurence Salon.

Elizabeth Clapp Toni had created a place that is soo much more than a salon. She’s curated the things she’s passionate about and loves to share with others. I was listened to, entertained, connected with other clients and oh yeah got a terrific hair cut and a little treat for myself on the way out. In a city full of amazingly run small businesses this one too has something amazing to offer. Pop in, look around, enjoy.

Tony and Lindsay DAlleva Our entire family goes here. It is more than a salon. Toni has created a community. The services are so carefully done. Everyone is warm and welcoming. You can enjoy snacks and drinks and get to know others if you wish. We are thankful for this landing spot!

David Mirsky I have been getting my hair cut by Toni for 33 years. I always look forward to our appointments and sharing more stories from our three decade long relationship. When my children come back to Rochester for visits, they set aside time just to see Toni and get their haircut! She does a great job professionally and am very happy that she finally decided to open her own shop. The salon is so very warm, cozy and friendly, not to mention the great availability of a multitude of refreshments at customers’ disposal.

Erry’s Life This was altogether a beautiful experience. Customer service was friendly and sweet when I booked. I booked my appointment with Toni and she was warm and friendly. She offered snacks, drinks, relaxing conversation, gentle touch, explained all products used, and the atmosphere makes you never want to leave. The decor was eye catching, luxurious, and warm. You can’t forget about the beautiful boutique on the other half of the salon that’s filled with beautiful jewelry, trinkets, and goodies. You can tell the staff have been together for years and works as a unit to make your experience unforgettable. My hair feels amazing and healthy. I will be back for another deep condition and trim.

Celina Frank Where do I even start? The RocHaus has quickly become one of my favorite places in Rochester! The environment, the vibe, the aesthetic, the employees, the clientele, literally EVERYTHING about this place is special! The owner, Toni, is one of the most talented, gracious, friendly, thoughtful women I have ever had the honor of knowing. When you walk into the salon, you are immediately greeted by her beautiful smile. She asks if you want a drink, she frequently has snacks out, and she goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Erica answers the phones, makes the appointments, cashes you out, and SO MUCH MORE. She cares for the salon like its her home and the people there as family. Shes friendly, fun, and a sheer joy to be around. The other stylists are friendly, talented and make you feel at home as well. The space is brightly lit, decorated with lux and class, and full of special items for you to purchase as gifts or to treat yourself. This place is a space for women to gather, converse and spark life-long friendships. Im a life-long client!

Mary Rose A Great place! Love the decor and vibe, and Bianca was awesome. She listened to me and did an amazing job on my hair. Love that you can make online appointments - super appreciated by a hearing impaired gal. Looking forward to going back and to many future excellent cuts!

Gillian Walker I dont know how Ive never left a review for Mirror Mirror before this, but anyway. The owner, Bianca, is an angel. Truly a treasure on earth. Shes been doing my hair for over 15 years and Ive never considered seeing anyone else. The salon is gorgeous, bright with plants everywhere and it feels just so peaceful. All the stylists are so talented and sweet, which, Bianca hired them so who could expect any less. My daughter sees Angelica, the curly hair expert and loves her every bit as much as I love B. Every visit is a mini rest & recharge and I always leave feeling incredible.

Kristina Bidwell Bianca, the owner, at Mirror Mirror has been my hair stylist for many years now. I started seeing her when she was with another shop and was thrilled when I heard she’d opened up her own studio! For many people, a hair stylist can be such a personal choice, because they are the person that can bring out your confidence and that special something. At Mirror Mirror, not only do I get to visit with my friends, but I walk out of her studio feeling like a million bucks every time. Bianca is skilled in dye and highlighting, whether I’m looking for business chic or something off the wall and fun (currently totally purple!!), and breezes through short or long hair. My wife has short hair, buzzed in places, and nobody can nail the style like Bianca. My hair is usually quite long, thick, and wavy and she thins, trims, and styles it effortlessly. Also, in my time there, I’ve seen the other stylists working and trust their work as well. Everyone is pleasant to be around, no drama, and awesome hair all around. Finally, scheduling with this team is so easy using the website. I love that feature.

Even when it’s been a few months between cuts, my hair still looks fantastic. The salon is inclusive, peaceful, warm, and inviting. Trishala Chaudhary If youre looking for a salon that combines exceptional skill with genuine care for their clients, look no further than Julianna Salon. I came to them in crisis mode after receiving a terrible haircut elsewhere that left me looking like a mushroom head – uneven layers, wrong length, badly shaped, and completely different from what I had asked for. With a wedding to attend, I was desperate for help. From the moment I called, the experience was outstanding. Colby, who answered the phone, showed incredible empathy and went above and beyond to help me. Despite my tight timeline, instead of turning me away, he worked behind the scenes to find a solution. Enter Anna, who graciously agreed to stay after hours to help salvage my hair. What impressed me most about Anna was her combination of technical expertise and honesty. She took the time to explain what could realistically be done with my hair in its current state, while still working to get as close as possible to my desired look. Her problem-solving approach and attention to detail were evident as she reshaped and layered my hair, transforming it into something I could feel confident about again. The level of service I received has earned them a loyal customer. If youre considering a new salon, I cannot recommend Julianna Salon enough. The care, expertise, and willingness to go above and beyond demonstrated by Colby and Anna are truly exceptional and reflect the outstanding quality of this establishment.

Melanie Andersen Had my hair cut with Melda and I absolutely love it. She did an amazing job. She explained all the products she put in, and styled it beautifully.

Anna McClanahan Sumayyah did a great job coloring and cutting my hair! I had three different colors and she matched my natural color perfectly. The pricing was also cheaper compared to other cuts I’ve gotten- and I got more out of it. Sumayyah was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. She explained everything she was doing, asking me questions about my routine, and giving me advice throughout the process.

Julia Merante Alyssa was very receptive, patient, and imaginative during my haircut. She was conscious of timing while not rushing, and it was apparent that she was actively listening to my vision. She took it step by step and checked in along the way, which was very important to me as i chopped off 10+ inches of hair! Julianna warmly checked in as well.

Sarah Field Ive been going to Colette for almost 2 years now for highlights and color. She is simply the best at what she does. I recommend her and Julianna Salon to all my friends. Everyone at the salon is so nice and welcoming.

Jennifer Vosylius I just got a keratin treatment and it was by far the best one Ive ever gotten. I let my hair air dry and there was absolutely no frizz and it feels really soft. Ive always had frizzy hair and this is the first thing to ever actually work

I have had many compliments on the haircut she has given to me and I have difficult hair as it is very thin She is not only effective, but very kind and I love talking with her Shes always on time and a wonderful businesswoman The bonus is she sometimes brings one of her dogs to the salon.

Anil Shrestha Overall haircut was satisfactory but without any explanation charged $75 when $60 was confirmed before I went in. Also only set half of my hair. Hairstylist Liz was warm at the beginning but as she was cutting she was constantly looking outside and around the salon. I felt she wasn’t present and I felt rushed at the end. With skills, I also seek comfort and care from the beginning to the time I walk out of the service in salon professionals. This was majorly missing.

Donna DeLuca Surface is most def the best salon experience ever. The stylists there are gifted both artistically and technically, they take training and customer service very seriously, and they are just great, kind-hearted people. Their prices are fair, the shop is lovely. They sell excellent Davines Italian hair products, too.Excellent service and very current with style trends.

Annie Kwon Jen Marks is an awesome person. Id give her 5 stars for stellar cutting my hair and making me look awesome. For several cancelations and rescheduling by her, I gotta be honest, overall 4 stars.

Erin Cortes Jen Marks not only gave me a great haircut but an amazing experience. Not only her skills with hair and styling are why Ill go back but her personality is on fire! Jeni Earnshaw did my microblading. I was nervous to get it done in the first place but I couldnt have asked for a better outcome. The pictures of her work are proof that she is a master of the craft. I couldnt be more happy with the outcome.

Jennifer Ratcliff I had my hair and makeup done for my wedding with Marie. My mother also had her hair and makeup and my wife had her makeup done here. I had some injuries on my face that were healing that I was self conscious about but Marie was very warm and attentive to making me feel like a beautiful bride. I also did my hair and makeup trial with her which I would recommend, as it gave me an opportunity to make a few tweaks to my plan. Amazingly my hair and makeup stayed in place for the entire day and evening. She is great to work with. I do not have all of my photos but I have included a few here as a sample. McGriff Jackie (Jackie Photography) I had an express facial from Chantal and IT.WAS.EVERYTHING! I was feeling very weighed down by stress from personal issues and news happening all over and needed a respite. With Chantal, I finally felt like I was able to breathe. I felt completely relaxed and rested. I highly recommend a session with Chantal. I promise its exactly what you need.

Gwenn Duke Beautiful salon! Cheri is an excellent stylist and makeup artist! Great personality, too! Very warm and welcoming! She and Kelly did a beautiful job with our makeup and up dos for my sons March wedding! Definitely recommend her hands down!!

Megan Dailor I love working with Cheri at weddings I photograph, so it was an easy choice to ask her to do my hair for my own wedding! She is super talented and relaxed as she works her magic on the wedding party. She did a great job asking questions about what I wanted and making sure my hair was perfect. My girls looked amazing and even though it wasnt part of our original plan, she even did a few soft curls for my delighted flower girl (who has now named multiple adorable stuffed animals "Cheri!") All of our hair held up beautifully through a windy afternoon and ridiculous dance party. I recommend Cheri to all my brides!

Julie Croglio Cheri’ Marie was amazing to work with for my wedding! She did airbrush make-up for me, the bridesmaids, and my mother. She made everyone look and feel beautiful for the day, and everyone was so excited with the results. Cheri’ is extremely organized for the day-of, creating a schedule of when she would work on each girl. Cheri was able to service all 12 of us seamlessly during the day will coordinating with our hairstylists. Lastly, throughout the entire day, all of our faces stayed perfect in spite of a rainy day and hours of dancing. I would recommend Cheri’s services to all brides.

Malinda Amborski Nicole is top notch! Every time I leave the salon feeling like a million dollars. Her talent with color and cuts is second to none. My hair has never felt or looked better!!!

Jo MV Kim does a great job with my hair. She remembers what she did from every appointment and what worked and what didn’t. She remembers details about me and my life and makes me feel like a valued customer. The salon is accessible. Kim uses schedulicity which makes it really easy to schedule appointments from my phone at any hour!

Noreen Rossi Karen gives great haircuts. Always on time too. Very personable. Salon is inviting and comfortable.

Gillian Finley I used Kelly and Karen as my hair and make up artists for a July 2018 wedding and was so thrilled with the results. Kelly did two trials for me after I changed my mind regarding updo versus down, and was super patient and helpful. During the time leading up to a wedding, you want someone like her who is down-to-earth, calming, and thoughtful about what she does. You will definitely feel well taken care of! On the day of the wedding, both Kelly and Karen were on time and fully prepared with everything we needed. The bridal party looked gorgeous, and Karen did a great job of providing natural looking make up for everyone! Kellys hair styling looked amazing on each of my friends, and mine turned out just as we had planned and as I had hoped. It was a great experience and I highly recommend them for events!

April Coffey This was my first time visiting Shear Ego and I am SO happy to have found Alyssa! I came in with terrible brassy, grown-out highlights from another salon that I needed fixed. Alyssa lightened them to a beautiful fresh blonde and added some lowlights that all match perfectly with my skin tone. She worked efficiently but still took her time with me and my hair looks and feels so healthy and beautiful! I will definitely be back. The best part is no one here tried to sell me anything else and before she started working she let me know the price so there were no surprises.

Dorienne Rainwater Went in for a birthday massage and got Michelle! I was super anxious as I don’t like being touched and expected the massage to be painful. Michelle was very sweet and answered any questions I had and reassured me there was nothing to worry about. She was very attentive. 10/10 experience. The lounge and locker room were neat and tidy and very relaxing. Excited to go back

Kristina Krause Edit: Christie was nice to fix my nails free of charge and make up for my bad experience. If you go here, book with Christie! Had a gel manicure appt with Rachel. The first thing I said when I sat down was that one of my nails had broken and was very short, so I would need them all cut short so that it didn’t look weird. She did not cut them at all. I was waiting for her to ask me how short, what shape etc but then she started putting polish on them so I interjected to ask if she was going to cut them. She acted surprised like it wasn’t the first thing I told her when I sat down. All her movements were rushed, like she just wanted to be done with the appt ASAP (I was her last appt before closing for the day). The worst thing though, is that Rachel didn’t apply or cure the gel correctly because once I got home, all my nails started turning bumpy and textured!! The thumbs look especially horrific. I’ve never had this happen in all my 10 years getting my nails done. It looks awful. And I specifically went to Shear Ego trying to fix a “bad” manicure from another salon (which I mentioned to Rachel). My manicure from Shear Ego makes my previous “bad” manicure look good!! I purposely scheduled this manicure on Friday night because I have an important event today (Saturday) and now Im embarrassed to even show my hands! I’m writing this in hopes that someone from Shear Ego will offer to fix it free of charge THIS MORNING. To pay $62 plus tip for a gel manicure and have it look like this is embarrassing. This was my first time at Shear Ego and I won’t be going again unless they remedy this.

Sheila C Alexandra was my hairstylist for this, my first visit. She was a good listener and communicator. The adjustable chair at the shampoo station was a plus - so comfortable! My hair was cut well and in collaboration with the stylist. I appreciate the gift bag of sample products - which I look forward to trying. The space was lovely and didn’t feel congested and chaotic like a lot of salons do. I am definitely a fan and will be back.

Tiara Ellis I had an amazing time with Antonia! She helped me narrow down exactly what I wanted and made me feel comfortable from the very start. Super knowledgeable about curly hair and how I can style it. So happy with the results!!!

Kelly Langdon The staff at Tru On Park are all very welcoming and professional. I booked with Lizzy a while back after my old stylist wasnt cutting it anymore (no pun intended!) and was immediately drawn to how down to earth and genuine she was. The conversation was easy & fun, but more importantly, she listened to my needs / concerns and made sure I was happy with the end result. I left my first appointment feeling the best I had in a long time and have been going back ever since!

Lindsey C. I literally lost all hope with my hair after going blonde with my previous hair stylist at another salon. I made the decision to visit Tru on Park after some MUCH needed damage control. I was blessed to have Gordon come to the rescue! In my first visit ever with him, I left beaming. I came back a second time to request bangs and he just completely transformed me & my confidence. And just a few days ago I came back once more for some color touch-up and he just blew me away. He understood the assignment: fall vibes and healthier hair! Ashley Stewart Lisa absolutely killed it. I moved from a different state and needed to find a hairdresser. It was my first time seeing her and I needed a correction on highlights I had done previously at another place in town. She has so much knowledge and the perfect technique, Im so grateful that I found her!!!

Rob C Skylar gave me the best haircut of my life and thats not even an exaggeration its exactly how Ive wanted it to look for years! She saw my vision and ran with it! And all the rest of the staff there are so friendly too and always offering coffee and water and such while you wait! Highly recommend!! :)

Kendal Hooper I’ve been seeing Lizzie at Tru on Park for nearly two year now, and I love my experience every single time. Lizzie is a fantastic stylist - she really takes the time to talk to clients and understand what they want, and is always happy to answer whatever questions I might have about hair care and styling. I just had my hair dyed for the first time there this week, and I can honestly say it’s the best dye job I’ve ever had. Beyond Lizzie specifically, everyone at the salon is friendly and professional. I’ve never had a negative experience with any staff there; the customer service is genuinely lovely from every person in the shop. There’s even a tea & coffee bar customers can help themselves to while getting their hair done. Tru on Park has won me over for life, and I’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for a new salon.
