5 /5 Andy G: Modern clean facility with a fantastic staff. The group exercise classes are diverse (Spin, Yoga, Zumba, etc), motivating, and fun. The pool and aquatics program is located at the Sch High School. The Schenectady Y is also focused on supporting the community through Youth Development and Social Responsibility.

4 /5 Joshua P: This is my home Y. It is small and lacks amenities and needs more evening classes. But the staff are wonderful and the facilities are clean and well kept. I love this Y.

1 /5 Kevin Kempf: Lifting equipment is in good shape but there isnt much of it -- one power rack, for instance. The people who work there are nice enough, but perhaps too nice; they wont confront the gym hogs, so good luck if someones on the machine you need for an hour.

4 /5 Orlando Spadola: The weight lifting spaces were pretty big and very clean and organized. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The lifting spaces had free weights and lots of cable machines. Only thing they could improve is the amount of squat racks as there is only one, but there were many benches and lots of dumbbells. Overall, great Y!

Ramon Vazquez: I joined this gym six years ago and Jimmy got me on the contract. He offered to be my trainer at the time, but then started referring me to other trainers In the gym. During the time of my contract, I only used this facility once because, as other reviewers have noted, it was filthy and outdated, most of the cardio equipment was broken at the time. Naturally, I pulled out of my contract because I refused to pay for something that I wasn’t using. I would occasionally stop in for a drink, or a snack during my membership time I wasn’t utilizing since I was taking classes in the area, and I kept seeing that the basic housekeeping stuff was not being addressed, at least not at a level where I would feel confident returning for regular work out. I received a collections notice sometime later, which I fully expected, but I later settled. Two years after settling the collection, I’m now experiencing what other reviewers have also experienced and have noted here, I received a second collections notice from Aldous and associates law firm for a payment that was already settled. If you’re looking for a gym in the area, I would avoid this place at all costs. You’ll get a lot more bang for your buck at the Y.

Tatiana Carpenter: Love Orangetheory! It has been really keeping me accountable and the coaches really push you to do your best. Ive been on the hunt for a perfect class that will help me lose weight and keep me on track and this is it! Highly recommend giving it a shot!

The supplement store attached is a bonus too—good quality stuff at great prices, and the 10% off for members is a sweet perk. Definitely supporting local here—this is my new gym for sure

Jennifer Goldstock: My husband (who has never done pilates in his life) and I had a session with Michelle today. All I can say is it was nothing short of amazing. My husband has been struggling with back issues and has had no benefit from PT or Chiropractic. He said after one session with Michelle doing Pilates he felt better than he has in months. She is amazing and the studio is beautiful and spotless. I highly recommend!!!

Sharin Jonze: I love ❤️ this location in the mornings about 10 -11 am I come the staff is wonderful politeness knowing my routine starts with the hydro bed then the massage chair they greet me by my last name as soon as I come in Im asked if I want to get on the hydro bed massage chair i truly love the customer service but thats during the day time for the past 2 nights I went in the early morning about 1 I came inside looking for staff and there wasnt any staff at all I was wanting to use the hydro bed massage chair like I do but there wasnt anyone there that seemed unusual so for about 2 hours I go back to the counter there wasnt any staff there still Im like this isnt professionalism for a gym to be open without supervision all night there wasnt anyone at the counter to assist me or help me i saw a young man that looked like he worked there wearing the planet fitness shirt but he looked like he aint care about working at all he stayed in the break room anyone couldve just come into the gym and workout any time the front desk was completely unsupervised for the entire overnight I was at such a disappointment anyone couldve taken drinks no one of staff was cleaning checking in members not even greeting members such a disappointment for me to return to this gym and not be able too use the spa services every other gym i go to use my black card membership has had overnight staff present like guilderland Latham very nice good staff taken care of the gym cleaning being present at night talk to them but here Rotterdam where was the overnight staff for hours no counter service assistance just scan in and no one something needs to be done about this your over night staff was no where to be found i was with such a disappointment here i couldnt get to use the hydro bed then the massage chair here do to know staff present at all for 2 nights very terrible

Abdalla Alexander: Great gym! Excellent place to work out. If you’re a student or alumnus, I highly recommend. Half of the first floor has cardio machines, as well as muscle group training machines. On the bottom floor you’ll find the weight training area.

Jon Baker: Ive had my daughter in the summer camp going into the fourth year. She really likes being there. I also like being a member of the gym and using the pool. What I like best is their all inclusive policy where, if you are human, you can join.

Nicholas Inman: Fitness area is probably 50x50 equipment is obsolete. They have "training" classes and "reserve" some of the only equipment removing it from other members. Old men walk around completely naked in locker room with little children around. For nearly $100 a month..
