1 /5 James Wallace: I asked them if they could polish the acrylic Crystal my Rolex watch. They said the charge would be $35, and I asked why so much. Their reply was that they would be required to remove the movement from case so that when they polished the Crystal dust would not get inside. The Rolex is waterproof to 100 m, special Rolex tools are required to open the case. A new gasket would be required, and the watch would need to be water tested with a special Rolex machine. Other jewelers have easily polished the Crystal with jeweler’s rouge and a buffing wheel. How could they come up with such crazy statements?
