Todd Crego Had a very good experience at Todd Farrell’s garage. Friendly customer service. Honest mechanic. Needed a new wheel speed sensor. He gave me a fair price. Todd’s wife gave us a gift because my wife and I work in healthcare and they had some gifts leftover from Nurse’s week to give to their customers that work in healthcare. My car ran a lot smoother on the way home. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future whenever I need some work done. Highly recommend!

A couple of weeks ago, my check engine light came on right before the shop closed and they were still able to get me in and diagnose the problem right away. The office staff, Todds wife especially, is so wonderful and helpful. 10/10 recommend. :)

Chris Montgomery Went in for an oil change on Friday July 11th. Asked them to only do the oil change. Also requested they check nothing and top nothing off. I watched the whole time and they did honor my request and did just the oil change. Drain, filter and fill. I checked out and had a coupon. I did not have my reading glasses with me and I paid and left. When I had my glasses and checked the invoice, I noticed a shop supplies charge added for $7.99. I called to question this charge and ask what it’s for. The person on the phone said they basically add it to all the invoices. I asked what shop supplies would fall under this and was told materials, additional fluids, oil drain plug etc. I asked if they were to put in a new drain plug would they tell me since that would have been the only thing that they could have done. He said yes and it would say that. Well they did not use a new drain plug (I looked at existing plug and still original). They also did not add any additional fluids. This charge is just a pure money grab and dilutes the savings of any coupon. I called corporate and filed my grievance and was told someone higher than a shop employee would call me back. Well it’s been over a week and no call so I am forced to turn to a negative review. Beware of erroneous charges and check your invoices if you choose to go here. I will not be going back. At this point I have no interest in discussing with anyone tied to this location. I also see other reviews and a mention of getting a free car wash. Not sure if this is part of the service but I was not advised or offered a free car wash either.

Janine Feczko Great Jiffy Lube. In particular, was very pleased today. The gentleman at the desk was very sweet and polite. My inspection was easy and fast. The dealership wanted to charge $600 in repairs - for a whole new mirror system $300+ (new mirror was only $20) and I’m not sure what else.

Kyle This is by far the best garage I have been to. The customer service is amazing, as well as the knowledge. It is a 40 min drive for me to get to this garage, but by far the best garage I have ever been to, so it is well worth it. Only garage I will use. Five stars all the way around!!!!

Tom Freeman We are staying in the area from out of town, and we noticed that a piece of plastic was dragging along the road underneath the car. We thought it was worth trying to see if we could get somebody to take a look at it and either secure it, or if necessary, cut it off to be dealt with later. We drove to Stockport this afternoon, without an appointment. We had to wait a bit until a garage lift was available, but when it became available, the guy lifted up the car, found the problem, used some appropriate Clips to secure the plastic, and said we were all done. When I went to pay for it, I was told “you are all set – have a good day.“ I cannot believe how great they were in handling a minor problem for total strangers.

I couldnt say enough good things in this short review. Get there while its still in business. Ive been a loyal customer since it first opened.

bella grace Awful repair shop. Brought my car in a while back and told them what part needed to be fixed. They refused to fix that part and instead insisted something else needed to be fixed. Two days after leaving the shop my car had broken down again and the part i had told them to fix was the issue and had ended up costing me so much more. Terrible service I dont recommend at all.

Francis Howell My aging vehicle was dropped off for braking issues. $50 to hook up to the computer and diagnose issue - fine. Checked in a few hours later and was told “just waiting on a lift”. Eventually told cost just to diagnose the issue would be approximately $300 in addition to the $50. I’ve never been charged by a mechanic to diagnose an issue. Anyway, that’s not the reason for the 1 star. The car that apparently never made it onto the lift, now sounds like a Mack truck. I would recommend you bring your car literally anywhere else.

Bruce is so professional and thorough with every detail. 5 stars isn’t enough for Village Auto Repair.

Brian C Have had 4 alignments with 3 different cars.. usually I get no receipt and have no problem usually .. theyve done this particular car before roughly 3 years ago... I put brand new upper ball joints brand new lower tie rod ends.. left the inner tie rod ends alone they were fine... Well from it being off from me doing the repair the tires were bald do you have to have an alignment after the repair... So I brought the car to him the way it was he refused to do the alignment until I put new tires on... So I put the brand new tires on and brought the car back and had it aligned.. when I left I noticed the car was still dragging theres no way for you to check an alignment without a machine.. so I drove the car not even 3000 miles look at the tires and they were bald... So I took the car back..hes like theres nothing wrong with my machine.. but anyway they rechecked it today.. when I asked if it was off the same employee says yeah was off by a little.. and I noticed you a change the tie rod end... Yeah I replaced all that before I bought the car there the first time that was the reason for bringing it in.. dont accuse a customer In changing the alignment parts and then bringing the car again for a free alignment when you screwed it up in the first place.You should be paying me $250 for the car tires you ruined! For that wise comment!! And assume you wanted to try to charge me again ..I will not be bringing any of my cars back there!!!! as far as I can tell ..the problem got corrected its running smooth and straight like it should have been the first time!!.. I was going to pay them to mount and balance another set of brand new tires in which they should have done it for me for free .. when I heard that comment ...I got in my car and drove away.. .. no way Im going to have them balance my tires and screw that up too just for shits and giggles..absolutely lost my trust!!!!

JK Dont go to Matts Automotive in Greenport (Hudson address) behind Bagel Tyme on Route 9. On August 30, having just purchased new brakes from this shop the day before, I was driving and my car started making weird noises. Then it started slowing down and chugging as if the brakes were grabbing. I managed to get home (2 miles) before it stopped moving entirely. I called Matt and he recommended a tow truck business that charged me $150 from my house to Greenport, less than 12 miles if you dont go the long way around, which he did. Matts employer told me the clips were defective and that they had ordered new ones and had them before my car got to the garage. Since then, Matt has been messing with me. First, he said he wasnt responsible, and when I asked him who was, he wouldnt tell me where he had purchased the clips from but said hed "call her" and get back to me, which he did not. When I called him, he said that the company didnt take responsibility for defective parts and hed give me some discounts along the way, which would have been a long way because I usually only go there for tires, and I had just purchased $800 worth from him. Long story shorter than it could be, after putting me off many times, he finally said hed reimburse me if I gave him the receipt for the tow. I left a copy of it after hours in the slot at his garage for him, and when I still didnt hear from him, I went in and he claimed he never saw it. Then, today, 5 months later (August 30 to January 31), I took him another copy of the receipt, and he said that it was supposed to have been taken care of, that the Auto Zone nearby was supposed to have sent me a check, and I should go there, which I did. They said they didnt know what I was talking about, and they dont sell those clips to him, so I went back to the shop, and then he said the manager I had talked to had told him that she was looking into it. The manager at Auto Zone had acted like she had never heard anything about it. Over 5 months and still no refund! He has not been honest with me, and he does not take responsibility for his work.

Not even a few months later, the car is exhibiting a bunch of issues and Matt refuses to help and charges a large amount of money! Even after already paying to fix the issue. Take your money elsewhere!
