Barbara Getem I had to give one star to say close this dump down I have 2 cars between me and my gf she got brakes and 2 weeks later needed new brakes I got an alignment 2 months ago and my tires are bald rude no receipt to prove you was ever there if I was in my younger days I would have smacked yall up playing with my money like that. Drive by this place it’s always been janky I smacked that last guy that had that same shop in 2012

Che Holloway Northside auto really saved my life today. I had a disagreement with them in the past and in my emotion left a not so savory review. As they say time heals all. So here I am today and Im in the worst bind ever I thought to myself let me give this one more shot. Todays service was most exceptional and I highly recommend this for anyone needing a quick fix. Id come back again. And Im grateful they were able to work with me again despite the past. Im humbled.

monk banished (Banishedmonk) Would do zero stars if possible. Charge me 260 for rotation and balancing. They did the job but Walmart charges 15 a wheel. Pricing is not honest or competitive. Definitely shop around

Damaris Mccray This is the one! If I could leave 6 stars I would.Prices for service are great. The owner and sons are very nice and respectful.I had my brakes, rotors and a rear caliper done. I was told by the owner that I needed rear tires, which I made an appointment and got the job done. The owner, he breaks everything down to you so, you know what is happening and the service they are providing. If there is a service that they can’t provide they lead you in the right direction of who can. They will now and will forever be my auto repair shop! Thank you gentlemen again for the great work you do!

Shanika Robinson Tone (The Owner)I had been going there for years . I took my jeep in for a leak from the radiator. His son was there and showed him where the leak was. He said I’ll put it on the lift to see exactly where the leak is. When I took my jeep there was NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. Tone called and said your radiator hose needs to be replaced. I said ok fine then when he called for me to pick up jeep he goes the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. I said why because when I brought my jeep to your son there was no CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I stated it was and I took a picture of it. But never showed pictures. He didn’t charge me for the repairs he did. Because he totally messed my jeep up had to take it to the dealer mechanic which said he messed my radiator fan up now also electrical problem. So he didn’t charge me because he messed up. He was very rude and defensive towards me. Out of all the times I’ve been there he has never been rude so that’s how I know he messed my jeep up . I would not never recommend him to anyone. I will see him in court.

Cristan Vergottini - Cohen I started going to Vail out of convenience when I worked around the corner, they were always so kind, efficient, honest and reasonably priced that I now continue to go there even though I dont work or live in the neighborhood anymore. Do yourself a favor and check them out. There are coffee shops, restaurants and parks within walking distance where you can relax/work/grab a bite while they work on your vehicle. Trust me, they are well worth it.

Kree I stopped in to get some air in my tires and ask for a quote to get the exhaust tightened on my classic, diesel Mercedes. The two gentlemen working in the garage were friendly and said to pull up for air. The one with blue eyes pet my dog and advised me to get inside to speak with Andrew about it. (I think that was his name.) When I walked too far around the corner, the mechanic came over and showed me how to enter the office. I thought that was very kind of him rather than just yelling and pointing! However, this is where my experience went south. The owner (or son of the owner) was neither friendly nor helpful. He didn’t greet me when I entered or smile like his employee did. He told me that my 300D was too hard to work on hard to find parts for, neither of which is true. I explained I wasn’t looking for a new mechanic, I just needed the exhaust to stop rattling, yet he carried on about what a pain my car was! He said it was nothing personal, lol. I would have believed that had he greeted me when I entered his shop or gave me a recommendation to a diesel mechanic or simply someone not as lazy and unhelpful as him. I advised him that going forward, 300Ds are super easy to work on. (I even do some jobs myself; I just don’t have the time right now nor a proper workspace living in an apartment.) I told him my mechanic in Tennessee never had a hard time finding new or used parts, and that FCP Auto Parts is a killer website as are junk yards. Still, he wanted nothing to do with my business. I specifically stopped there rather than going to be a bigger company, because I wanted to support a mom and pop shop. The interaction left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Do-It-All Rochester Used to be the best shop in town. Good repour, you always left happy even if it costed more, now I wouldn’t trust them to work on my lawnmower. Almost $5k to fix a car and it has broken down 3 times within 100 miles. I have talked to other mechanics and they said everything that has broken down should have been replaced due to the scope of work. Never again. Dan would not be happy………

Rapooh Shields They are scammers they had my car March it had no scratches on it when I went to pick it up it was scratched up on all 3 doors spoke to mark and he asked the worker they stated they didn’t c it then one worker said he did c it which on is it so I asked about Camera he said they have them but the don’t point in parking lot area so I took them small claims just waiting on a date. I took my car there today bc it was still making noises the thing they didn’t no I had already took it to Ford Dealership to have it looked at so mark calls me tells me about my tires bald back he then said I need control arm which they just fixed in March on my receipt it a year warranty then The lady says I owe 54 I said no one told me this she said it’s on the wall who looks at the wall she then tried to act like I was dumb she says it’s like going to doctor copay I said lady I’m a nurse don’t do that chick had nerve to say this in not charity then some guy behind her jump in with words so my husband was yelling they threaten with the police I said call them then they showed us cameras like we were criminals I have never in my life been so mad I contacted the BBB and also NAACP bc what did u mean by charity I took a picture of the wall bc I still didn’t see the sign there was sign for diagnostic but not for 50.00 I am not letting this go I still have my receipt so I will be adding that to small claims also I have a picture of her waving as I was taking the picture that’s going to look real good in court

Jeannie Wenzlaff Did they lie, or are they incompetent? I think they took advantage of me being new to New York! To get my car inspection, they told me I needed my window tint removed, charging qqqme $30 per window. They didnt need to remove the front windows because they allowed 70% light in, and under the law, there was no reason to remove the passenger window tint since i have all requiredmirrorsfor this. So the best way to look at this is they only overcharged me by $60, but it was in fact $120. So do they know the rules for car inspections, or did they just want extra money? I also was able to replace my door handle within an hour myself. Im a woman and wouldnt recommend them if you are a woman yourself. Cant trust them not to overcharge you.

The communication along the way was outstanding and I appreciate everything that Advant and Chris did to get me back in my car and back on the road! Emily Rooker I cannot speak highly enough about Clars Elmwood Automotive. My first experience with them, I had gotten a flat tire from hitting one of the numerpus potholes in this freaking city. Id happened to pull over right near their shop, so I walked in to see if theyd be able to help. They went above and beyond. Not only did they get me a new tire, they bent the rim back as much as they could. I was out and on my way pretty quickly, and I found them to be very kind and helpful. So naturally, when my transmission went about a week later, I brought it in to them. They fixed her up and shes been driving great since. Theyre a small shop, youll need to be patient if they have a few cars ahead of yours, but if you want good, honest work, definitely give them a shot.

Dave Fave Nick and his team are amazing. Explained I had an alignment done at one of the chain tire shops, but my tires were wearing uneven. Within seconds Nick knew what was wrong and said he would do an alignment. Tommy talked to me about what was needed and got right to work. Really helped me out before my trip and put in the extra effort to do it perfectly. I am very meticulously with my car and I can say, it handles better than it ever has. dbj 2k Ive been going here for a couple of years now for various repairs (new brakes, shocks, lower control arms, etc.) and Im always impressed not only with how fast they diagnosis and the quality of their work, but also the price (such as when they replaced my front brakes for less than I paid 5 years ago!). Ive even dropped my car off after hours and had a phone call by 8:30 AM the next day with a diagnosis and price, and got my car back around noon. Well worth it!
