Davidsons Family Restaurant - Lakewood (NY)

5 /5 Penny Shaut: What a treat to find this local family restaurant with history and great food! The fried fish was delicious! The batter was perfect and I think the onion rings were battered in it too. The cowboy chicken sandwich was delicious too! The broccoli cheese soup was more like chowder and needed salt but still yummy. We were so grateful to find this gem at 8:30pm on a Friday and have great food in a really homey and comfortable local atmosphere. Loved it!

1 /5 Harley Davidsons: Please dont order online. The portions are much smaller. They must save the larger fish portions for in-house dining. Spent $20 on a fish fry with a few fries. I keep ordering thinking itll be different the next time. Never again.

5 /5 Julia Drayton: Huge portions, very quick service. The fish is phenomenal and alone makes the experience worth it. The coleslaw and tartar sauce werent bad either. Despite being really busy, the staff continued to be kind and attentive. I will definitely be returning next time Im in town!

5 /5 Lisa Fidler: I ordered the fish and shrimp. It came with fries, coleslaw, and a roll. It was delicious. I didnt care for the coleslaw because it had horseradish in it. I didnt expect that. Nothing wrong with that, I just have never had coleslaw with horseradish in it so if you dont care for horseradish dont get the coleslaw LOL. The people that worked there were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean. They have other items to order besides fish, but they are known for their fish so that is why I had the fish. I would definitely stop in again.

5 /5 Joel DiTullio: Fish fry is amazing. Fries and coleslaw are very good as well. Dont recommend the seafood platter. The shrimp and scallops are breaded not battered like the fish and werent as good. Still plenty of goodness on that plate but Id just stick to the fish fry!
