1 /5 Pat C: I appreciate that Erics was open on Christmas Day and that they accepted reservations about three weeks in advance.
However, there were problems stemming from management. It appears that they bit off more than they could chew -- pardon the cliché. The dining rooms were either overbooked or under staffed. Perhaps the kitchen too. Either way the establishment wasnt prepared to smoothly handle the high volume of patronage.
Food
*Good prefixe dishes: Filet of sole and shrimp, Salmon, and seafood/pasta dish. In fact, all of their shrimp was excellent, fresh, no matter how prepared. Mussels very good too.
The lasagna was inexcusably disgraceful: salty and mushy. The francese gravy on the sole/shrimp tasted like Heinz jarred turkey gravy. Side vegetables: Birds Eye.
Atmosphere: Many of my guests, two octogenarians, were uncomfortably cold: patrons held the front door open for long periods of time because indoor space for waiting was wanting. The chill lasted for the majority or three hours.
Wait staff was great, attentive. They made a valiant effort to make things better.
