5 /5 Paige Stitzel: If there is one place to hit up when you are staying in or near downtown Ithaca, this is definitely the place! I discovered this quaint Ethiopian restaurant while living in downtown Ithaca as a Cornell student, and it’s now the first and only restaurant I go to when I’m back in town. The food is absolutely delicious and made me fall in love with Ethiopian cuisine! My go to is always the individual entree with Doro tibs as the meat of choice and gomen and kilt as my sides. Not only is the food incredible, the portion you get for the price is unbeatable. For context, my ‘go to’ dish (pictured) is less than $25 (excluding tip)! The service here is always a big plus. I had gone at 7PM on a weeknight during the dinner rush, and I seriously think I waited 10 minutes or less for my food. The staff is also super friendly, attentive, and the overall atmosphere is a whole vibe. Would DEFINITELY recommend to check this place out!
