3 /5 Mariel De Los Santos: Ive dined in once and ordered pickup and delivery several times because I have a young child. There is always an issue when I am not there in person. When I go in person, the ladies are super friendly and kind, however when they get busy you can find yourself waiting for the simplest of things. This did not bother me at the time because I was dining in and had already been given one of the items I ordered. The first time I ordered delivery, the food was a bit cold yet I didnt hold it against them but now Im starting to notice that this is a consistent issue with them. About the 3rd time I ordered delivery, a hair was found in my food and it was on the colder side again... I called and the woman that answered told me they would send something else. I offered to take the food to them because I was already waiting a long time for the initial delivery and to show them the hair found in the stew beef. She told me it was ok, that they would deliver the food promptly and that there was no need to send the food back. The delivery man did come quickly but started asking me about the food so he can take the other order back. The miscommunication surprised me but having had proof, I offered to show him a picture and to bring down the trashed food. He declined; warning me that if it happened again I had to send the food back. Ive worked in food service as a supervisor and understand the protocols when there is a dissatisfaction from a customer which is why I attempted to clarify with the woman on the phone about what I should do. After that experience, I did not want to continue ordering delivery from them. The following time I went to get food, I ordered pickup because I refused to wait for a delivery and still get cold food. This restaurant is about a 3 minute walk from my building. I ordered food on one of the coldest nights this months and managed to get home and the food still be hot. Again, I am understanding of the timing being different because the delivery men are probably delivering to multiple locations around the area but for every delivery to end in cold food is irritating. Tonight, I went against myself and ordered delivery. I ordered a lunch with a beef empanana, a croquette a couple cans of soda and a cake. Not only did I wait about 55 minutes for my order and received COLD FOOD AGAIN...THE EMPANADA WAS NOT SENT. I am beyond frustrated because it seems like they are only capable of handling in store orders. Their service and quality drops durastically when you are ordering delivery. I assume the volume of business makes them disorganized and inattentive but at the customers expense. I called and the woman tried to remedy the situation by offering to send the empanada but warning me that they are swamped with delivery orders. This wouldve been a helpful warning when I ordered the food initially. She then offered a credit I did not feel comfortable with this solution because there was no formal way to apply said credit. She told me Id just call and say I had one. Things like that usually do not work smoothly because anyone can just call and pretend to have a credit. I politely declined and told her Id rather pick it up but she refused and told me theyd just send it. It is unfortunate that this business that has good tasting food has this level of service. I dont think I want to continue ordering from them considering how there is always an issue with their food. From cold food, to hair in food and missing items in a short time span I am disappointed in this establishment. Ive spent so much money over the months and have not felt like it was truly worth it apart from the times Ive eaten in person or picked up my own food. At least when you go for pickup, you can revise your order and confront any issues in person. However I dont think this is something I care enough to do. I refuse to continue throwing my money away.
