Pontillos Pizza - Canandaigua (NY)

5 /5 W M: This is my favorite place in town to eat pizza. I like the thin a bit well done peperoni pie. Absolutely delicious. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. The place looks clean and cared for. I am sure a great experience awaits anyone.

5 /5 Doug K: Absolutely outstanding experience! Even during a busy rush, the team at Pontillos handled everything with efficiency and great service. The food was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. There was a small mistake with our order, but they handled it like true professionals and made it right without hesitation. You can really feel the hospitality here. I’ll definitely be spreading the word and coming back soon. Highly recommended!

4 /5 JJ: November 2025 Update Pizza is still very good... but it needs to be fresh when getting slices. Slices are held in a pizza oven thats not on. Best to have it reheated in the oven... but best to get it when its 1st baked. Very nice owner, polite and caring of customers. He is often there during the day making and baking pizza. My jacket got caught on a broken corner edge on a table today... it almost torn. They are sharp. I would think an arm could get injured on these. I looked over at other tables and saw many broken. I posted pics... they need to be repaired for safety. One additional negative... the mens room smelled of urine; mold was growing in the urinal. Cleaning with chlorine bleach would solve the problem. Recommended. June 2025 Update The pizza and staff are very good and that continued. No improvements to the interior were made; the same torn shredded carpeting is present with no upgrade. New carpeting or floor tiles are badly needed. Previous Visits 2025 and 2024 The pizza is very good and the staff are nice and friendly. The dining rooms would be much nicer if they replaced the old worn-out, torn, stained carpeting. This presents trip hazards for customers. This drags down your dining experience and makes the place look really bad. The mens room door needs a cleaning.

3 /5 Jeffrey Pulver: First time ordering here in years and I’m not sure if I just got unlucky or this is normal but the pepperoni pizza I ordered was severely undercooked, borderline raw towards the middle. Sauce and cheese has good flavor though. Lack of cup char pepperoni is disappointing. Customer service was however excellent.
