Susan Garber I was recommended to go to this shop, as I needed a state inspection and oil change, and had a great experience. This is a “Mom & Pop” shop and the couple that owes it are very down to earth people. Their daughter and son-in-law also work there, and everyone was very friendly and personable. They are also very honest and won’t tell you work “needs to be done” on your car that isn’t truly needed. My car currently has an open recall, but I was told by the dealer the parts were in a national shortage. Without even asking, Fox’s looked up, within a 250-mile radius, a search for who might have the part that I needed to see if they could find the part to complete the recall. They also helped explain to me what the recall was about and why it was important. Unfortunately, no one had the part, but I thought it was above and beyond that they checked to begin with and just reflects on their character. I will most definitely be going back.

Nicholas Wells-Garrett No list of parts used on bill, or specific repairs done, not even labor. just a number on a piece of paper. Paid hundreds of dollars and everything that was wrong with my car when I showed up still is. Avoid them at all costs.

Salvatore Augello They always do a spectacular job! If you get Hunter working on your car, consider yourself lucky. That guy really takes pride in his job!

Jaclyn Chelenza Bob and Joe on phones and desk were a pleasure to work with. Crazy reasonable pricing compared to other shops. My father in law has been a J March customer for years so I went there and am SO glad I did. Great service, great pricing, friendly people. Thank you to the knowledgeable mechanics who did all the work I needed in record timing! So thankful to find a great shop so close to work and home! THANK YOU!

Miranda Mitchell I am very pleased with the service and respect that I received from Steve Shannon Tire and Auto Center. I was able to get my tires and have them put on all in the same day. They were able to squeeze me in for an inspection and oil change as well. Then when they discovered my caliper was bad they were able to replace that so my car could be inspected. They worked quickly and communicated every step of the way! I am so grateful they were able to do all that work for me all in one day without hesitation! They are the best and I will continue going to them from even an hour away, they are worth the drive. Prices are reasonable and the mechanics and service men are very pleasant and friendly! Sarah Ayers Just in for a state inspection. Had to bring back a second day because they had some logistical issues on first day that didnt allow for them to get it done. But they went out of thier way to make sure it was taken care of and communicated effectively with me. Will continue to return for honest work!

R B I have been taking my two cars to J & B Auto since it opened, and I’ve always received excellent service at a very reasonable cost. Both mechanics, Jim & Jim, are highly skilled, helpful, friendly and I always can rely on them to get the job done right, whether it’s routine service or a major problem. For unexpected problems that need immediate attention, they somehow find time for you and fix that problem as soon as their workload allows. They also provide you with an honest assessment of your problem and provide reasonable cost options. I recently had some routine service work done and was again very satisfied with the work that was completed.

Jen Jones We had transmission trouble during a road trip from Pennsylvania. No one else was open / would talk to us/ short staffed etc. The kind folks at JB agreed to look at our car and tell us what was wrong, what to do, even giving hotel recommendations when it looked like we might be stuck in town. They are very knowlegable and truly had “old fashioned customer service” I would 100% use them if I was local to this area. They even refused payment, but I insisted because their were generous of their time and I was extremely grateful. Strongly recommended!!!

Cajsa Young made an appointment online and they did not honor it. appointment was confirmed, i showed them the confirmation, and he said online appointments don’t go through to the shop. no other explanation, no apology, no trying to get me in. why even have the option to make appointments online if you don’t actually take online appointments? unfortunately will not be coming back

Pamela XL Auto has been a family auto shop for years. They have always treated all of us fairly and honestly. Once another mechanic told my mother she needed to have a part replaced ASAP. But I tested XL auto by taking her car to them to examine the part, and not telling them the other auto shops opinion. Well, they examined the car and said the part has a lot of life left in it and doesnt need to be replaced. That was just another confirmation, to me, that they are all good guys there. :-)

Tina Smith We love Matt, used him for yrs! He goes above and beyond as if your car was his own.

Richard Stearns Palmers is the only auto repair shop I trust with all our family vehicles, both daily drivers and summer cars. Matts prices are a bit higher than the competition, but the quality of the parts and labor are well worth the money.

scott herrick Gerber was able to fit me in 3 hours after my incident for an estimate. They removed the paint from my paint that day so it would not affect the clear coat,and I would only have to have the plastic replaced. Thank you!

Lisa Galle First time using them after the changeover to Gerber. I continue to be impressed with their work- hit a deer on my way to work and chose to have Gerber complete the estimate and repair. Couldnt be more pleased- the Canandaigua team kept me up to date all along the way, and the vehicle was actually completed and ready for pick up 5 days earlier than they had originally anticipated. And it looks great! Highly recommend and will be a customer again if needed!

Philip Burns I called Mavis Discount Tire in the morning, and they were able to take me in right away. I thought I had a leak in one of my tires from a recent replacement, so I went in to have the tires mounted, rebalanced, and to get an oil change. After inspecting everything, they didn’t find any leaks but did find a bad sensor in one of the tires. Ryan was very honest and let me know that replacing the sensor wasn’t necessary—it wouldn’t affect passing an inspection. I chose to replace it anyway and had my oil changed as well. What really stood out to me was their honesty—they didn’t charge me for mounting and balancing the tires since it wasn’t needed. That kind of integrity is hard to find. Ryan and the rest of the staff were very courteous, kind, and professional. I highly recommend them!

David Walker Went in to have tires balanced and mounted on my Chevy S10. Also had it inspected. Super friendly staff, great service was very prompt and knowledgeable. Would recommend to everyone. Will always return when I need any service done. Very affordable.

Morgan Waite I ordered tires and made an appointment online to have them mounted and balanced, I had a 6pm appointment. When I showed up there was a sign on the door “sorry for any inconvenience but we are closed” I did not receive a call or email to reschedule, they gave me no notice. OH I did receive and email the following day at 6am saying my appointment would need to be rescheduled. I went to costumer service to try and get my tires, after waiting for 30 minutes they were finally located. Will not go here for car service again. Very disappointed.

Brian McIntyre Tony and Toby repaired the body rust and repainted my 1968 Chevy Suburban. It was quite a mess when I limped it over to the shop and (mostly as a favor to me) they worked on it between other jobs. They faced a number of difficulties with restoration parts not fitting but with creative energy they got through them. When I finally saw it getting painted it reminded me of the old days when the truck looked pretty good. Right now it looks great and I am finishing the inside and some lingering mechanical work. Working with all the staff at Becker Motors was enlightening, encouraging, and inspirational in getting this oldie-but-goodie back on the road. Great experience!

Chris Butler We got my sons first car there just something small like a Chevy Cruze but before he can make the first payment it had been in the shop twice but to their credit every time it broke down they would either come get it or we were able to limp back to the dealership I just sucked having to pay a months worth of insurance and the first car payment it only had the car for a total of 4 days. Fingers crossed that there will be no more mechanical failures that have been overlooked

Casey These guys are great. Best prices Ive found after shopping around, and theyre helpful. They didnt hesitate to look under the hood and check my car to make sure I was getting the right part. They offered advice on the cheapest way to fix my problem as well. Their location isnt visible from main street and I havent seen them advertised, but theyre the best around.

Elizabeth Violas I wont go anywhere else for parts. Every time I need something for my vehicle they have it in stock or in store within 24 hours with the best price anywhere in the Ontario and Monroe counties combined. Dont be fooled by their lack of website, call them and they will prove why this is 5 stars. Im not positive, but Im pretty sure they use all of the same distributors as the big box auto parts stores, without the corporate overhead, and corporate markup. Support local business and get the best price around. Mark Burks To our car in for what I tight would be a pretty sizable repair. Explained what was going on to Nick and he asked for a couple days on a repair line it sounded like. I received a phone call a couple hours later, explaining that the repair wasnt going to be nearly as costly as expected, it tiebreaker out to be a very small thing. So we asked him to fix that and then also a couple other minor things. Excellent service, very friendly and explained everything that was done, and why.

joseph carzo Kurt always delivers and does an awesome job. He rebuilt the motor on my Datsun 240Z and performed many repairs, tuneups etc. Hes a pro that is fair and reasonable, a tough combination to find today. I would highly recommend him for work on any car.

Reiner Eschbach This place was recommended to me by somebody with a 60ies car. Went there and was happy. Have been going there ever since. The outside looks diminutive, but what it lacks in appeal is balanced by the competence and honesty of the owner. Youll see "strange" cars there quite often ( eg: Watkins Glenn material).

Crystal I would never take a vehicle anywhere else for body work. The paint work they do is incredible. You want a body shop that cares about your vehicle as much as you do definitely go to Ruggles!! Great staff, outstanding work and very professional. They are a busy shop but always worth the wait!!

Jose Melendez I took my car for alignment and rotation on tires when I got my car back I start driving the car was shaking I took it back and they told me I have to make a appointment for next week because they can’t take my car they don’t even take a look at it.I when to pepboys they balance my tires and my car is running like new,this guys on Mr.tire charge me for something they never did

Mr. (MilliRocket) Made an appointment one week in advance for an oil change, tire rotation, and balance, and the brake inspection. I had drop off was notified that they didn’t have the oil to do a Volkswagen oil change and couldn’t get it from their normal supplier. Auto parts store carries oil, but they had no one to get the oil. They did complete the tire rotation and balance, and stated that the brake system was fine. I notified them at the time the appointment was made, and also again when I dropped the car off a week later that the front rotors were warped and would need to be replaced and the pads. The service tech there when I pick the car up, stated the other tech did the work and left early so I assume no inspection was completed. The visit here was a complete waste of time. I had to take it to another shop who confirmed the front rotors were warped and replaced pads and rotors.. Other reviewers have commented this place is understaffed and very poorly managed.

Ryan L Came in for an oil change. Left wondering if I’d enrolled in an escape room. Keys? Vanished. Interior? Generously seasoned with grease. Oil change reminder? Still on—because resetting it must’ve been too advanced. Bonus feature: a “district manager” frantically pacing with a Bluetooth headset, looking like he was auditioning for a one-man crisis management show. Spoiler alert: the crisis was mine. No apology, no fix, just vibes. If you like your truck treated like a crime scene and want to leave more frustrated than when you arrived—this is your place. Otherwise, run.

Tyler J Struble Went in for a typical inspection and tire change. After receiving a call from a family member saying my car was totaled the garage decided to call and tell me 6 hours later. After a long weekend of cancelled plans and then an extra few days on that. I get a rental. Which of course I had to put money down on. Instead of taking the initiative to get me a car through the shop I had to wait for their insurance company to pick up their phone; which apparently is 5 business days. Staff have been unsympathetic. Much more should have been done to help a customer who came in for a tuneup and left with financial burden on himself and a burden on all the people driving them around. Unprofessional. Do not recommend.
