1 /5 Ian Dizon: I deeply appreciate the pastor’s passion for sharing his faith and his ability to offer practical applications for our daily lives. However, I’ve noticed that the sermons often feel scattered and unfocused, making it challenging to follow a clear message. The pastor frequently veers off topic or spends much of the time sharing personal experiences. While these stories can be inspiring, they sometimes take precedence over a deeper exploration of the scripture.
Additionally, the teaching style tends to prioritize practical applications without providing much historical or contextual understanding of the passages we’re reading. Understanding the cultural and theological background of scripture is just as important as knowing how it applies to modern life, as it helps us grasp the fullness of God’s Word.
This feedback comes from a place of love and a desire to see the church grow spiritually. I believe that a more focused, expository approach—balanced with personal stories and practical insights—could enrich the congregation’s understanding and strengthen our walk with Christ.
