5 /5 Ashley Scott: Ive been going to this salon since I was a sophomore in high school, and that was 9 years ago. The lady who was doing my hair left, but I still go for convenience, and I know the owner. They take a while when it comes to doing your hair, but its definitely worth it in the end.

Caridad Garcia: Pricey for inexperienced hair coloring & hairstyling service. I went there to get a root touch up…what a mismatch of colors on my hair. I will need to go somewhere else to get it redone. I was also left under the hairdryer for a long time. She forgot about me because she got busy with others that came after me. I had an appointment but it didn’t seem to matter. My first & definitely my last time there! Your choice but I do not recommend this hair salon.

They only cater to the Hispanic community and treat them extra friendly; meanwhile, all black customers get is overcharged and heat damage to their hair because the dryer is on the highest setting burning your hair. Dori, the owner of the salon is very kind and I have never had a negative encounter with her. The two woman that work at this establishment daily act one way when Dori is in the building and a whole other when she is not present.

From the beginning, I felt so comfortable with Ashley because she explained everything I needed to know before I came in, she both listened to what I wanted and gave her professional input without any pressure at the consultation, and she just had good energy overall. During the appointment, the conversation was pleasant, and she even made me a coffee. She did her work with apparent ease and made my fine hair look SO pretty! I had been a total newb, and honestly kind of lazy, at doing my own hair for a long time, but I was ready for a change, and Ashley was kind enough to answer all of my questions and explain what she was doing as she finished my cut with a blow-dry and style. Not only was I super thrilled with the way my hair looked at the end of my appointment, I now feel much more confident and able to elevate my own look whenever I want (Though not as good as she did, haha. Maybe with a lot more practice!) I will definitely be returning in the future for maintenance or maybe another change, and I highly recommend that anyone reading this go to ALC Hair!
