1 /5 T Davis: Absolutely not. Im speaking from an experience I had years ago and although things may have changed, I dont know but I went to the church one day to speak with the minister personally about some spiritual issues that I was having and someone recommended the church, I wasnt a member..I was new to the area. When I arrived a man who was employed at the church (Hispanic) gave me the most disdainful look...with a frown and exclaimed, "What do you want?". I gasped for air...wide eyed and was totally shocked. It happened by the entrance by what looked like a playground because theres a school and I didnt know where the entrance was and I looked around and stated that I was looking for the minister but with that kind of attitude, I definitely didnt want anything.I remember saying, "excuse me, i thought that this was a church (cynically). He said, "It is" I thought that he would apologize but nope! Not only that, his countenance didnt change neither did his attitude. There was another guy who was there who was shocked and stated that the ministers office was across the street on the second floor. I said thank you, went across the street and explained the horrible experience that I had. She said that he was on vacation. It was a Hispanic minister then, I heard that they have a fully black minister now. I said that you never have to worry about ever seeing me again, I definitely dont want anything. She Apologized. I left with one of the worst attitudes that I have ever had, found the person who recommended the church and proceeded to tell him off and remember saying that Hispanics could not tell me anything from that day forward....just like that!
THAT WAS MY EXPERIENCE!
