5 /5 Elodie A. Tellekamp: I just know a little of this absolutely GORGEOUS, historical church but invite everyone to Google it for details, then to consider passing by....I live adjacent to it for many, many years and just admired it and loved its spire. That spire so ingrained in my mind that a recurring dream I have, has me up aside it (somehow, as dreams do!). Its beautiful & comforting!
I started visiting when realizing I could donate clothing & shoes which would help people as much as the Churchs morning coffee kitchen helps the local homeless community... Ive yet to see the Majesty of the Church itself, being mostly spiritual, not religious, myself.... though writing this Im set to Inquire Within!
There are 12 Step meetings there, many church events, and such a lovely grace. It has a great, wonderful history honoring the LGBT community in a number of very cool ways.
THE MOST SPECIAL THING, however, is their garden. Its a labor of love every Spring & Summer. WOW. You cant NOT fall in love. It skirts the front & the full corner of 9th & 28th. Dang, but Ive never taken a photo. I wish I had one to share!
