Fresh spring water to drink and cameras hidden up on the bird houses make you feel secure. Its also a great place to go on a run with a variety of loops and trails!

5 /5 Will Handley: Beautiful city park in the heart of historic downtown. Grounds and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Thanks to the city for providing trash receptacles throughout the property. Leashed dogs are welcome. Numerous short walking trails and paths about the property.

Nathan June: This is certainly a niche museum, but what they cover they cover very well! The little movie is well worth it & there is plenty of opportunity to learn all about the history of horse racing here in the US & in Saratoga specifically. Great staff on hand if you need any questions asked. They also had a decent sized gift shop.

Jj Prete: Very helpful staff located right on the main hub of town . We did the 90 minute walking tour which takes you through the park and museum. It was very informative , the guide was very knowledgeable, and the park is very nice to walk through.

Bog Meadow Brook Nature Trail - Saratoga Springs

Michael Williams: Looking for the horseshoe along the way was fun. A couple of snakes ( non poisonous) were lurking about. The trail was clear of debris and easily walked. We did turn the stroller we had with us around, because of the railroad ties.

North Woods Nature Preserve - Ballston Lake

Mary Esch: Pretty pond and stream, some nice trails through a wooded ravine in the middle of the Country Knolls neighborhood. No parking lot, you just park beside the curb between two houses. The trail goes along back yards for a ways. The pond is picturesque and there’s a nice bench beside it. There are more mosquitoes than I’ve seen in any hike this summer. Incredible numbers. Maybe that’s why my dog and I had the place all to ourselves on a sunny July afternoon. One good point is that trails are largely sandy, making them far less muddy than in some area nature preserves.
