1 /5 Peek A Boo Preschool: I made an appointment for my 7 year old and myself for pedi/mani last night. No extras. Regular polish. I let the manager know it was a young child when I made the appt. As you can see my nails didnt come out great (and this is after having the guy fix two). My daughter was sat away from me and when I asked her if she was ok, her and I were yelled out and told not to talk by her mani tech. Her whole demeanor changed from excited to afraid. Her pedi tech was much nicer and made her feel better. Her flower fell over as soon as she was seated at the dyer. She started after me and was down with both services very quickly and was charged FULL price. I had the same tech for mani and pedi and he was not friendly and also painted the wrong color on my toes but then fixed it. He was a tad rough with the punching and slapping massage and he didnt attempt to ask me if I was ok it even speak at all to me.
Above is maybe a 3 star experience, however it becomes a 1 star at check out when "Johnny or Joey (not sure which one was his name" said to me in front of a full room and my daughter that I should tip one of his options only 20/25/30% percent. In an effort not to complain or talk negatively about the techs, I asked if there was another tip option and I tipped $15 due to be yelled at for talking to my child who was not next to me. The manager Joey said "I just want to let you know that I will be taking money out of the sale to make up for a 15% tip." In front of many people and what I wanted to say is 20% is for great service and 15% is even more than was deserved. Many would have left 10% or nothing! And.......if it wasnt for my daughter who I didnt want to scare, I wouldve honestly walked out when we were yelled at by the tech! After the manager said this to me about the tip, even though my daughter wasnt done drying her toes I told her it was time to leave asap! She left with wet toes and I left with missing polish and a bad experience. I have never had any issues at other nearby salons.
Side note- there seems to be videos in all the techs faces and timers at their station and I feel like they get in trouble for not pumping out clients fast enough and maybe this is why all the mistakes. I feel bad for the workers
