On my last visit she took all that she knew about my hair, my complaints, and my goals and on her first shot recommended the perfect product. I tried to buy a different version of the same brand and it was wrong. She made the PERFECT choice just for me. I love spending time in her chair learning so much from her and finding love for my wavy/curly hair in a low maintenance way.

She also has an uncanny ability to understand if her clients are in the mood for banter or a more mellow appointment. As a woman with curly, graying hair my cuts and coloring require both skill and experience and she has done a wonderful job with all of my cuts and shaping as I have been growing my hair out… she clearly knows how to help her clients look their best. Her color work is even more impressive! Over the years she has transformed my color with super natural root retouches and highlights to full fashion and vivid colors (if you want plenty of attention let Katie bring out your inner mermaid) She is a genuine and kind person that helps others feel comfortable and at ease. As a transgender woman salons used to be daunting spaces for me. Her accepting, welcoming and friendly personality can make anyone feel at ease as well as her being sensitive to how challenging hair appointments can be for some folks. I now really look forward to getting my hair done and couldnt feel more at home with Katie or in the salon… she is a truly beautiful person!

She listened to my concerns, provided education, and I left feeling confident that she gave me an amazing cut. Katie takes her time to get to know you and your hair. I booked another appointment for color next month and I cant wait to see what she does!
