1 /5 Tenzin khaying: Worst salon experience I’ve ever had. I went in for highlights and was assured by the stylist that she knew exactly how to do them. Instead, she bleached almost 60% of my hair using extremely harsh chemicals that caused a burning sensation on my scalp. It was incredibly painful and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, she was so impatient with the process, rushing through it and not doing it properly. The end result? My hair was completely ruined—dry, brittle, and far from what I had asked for. I had been to this salon for haircuts a few times before, and the stylist always seemed confident in her skills, but clearly, highlighting is not her expertise. I trusted her, and now my hair is in terrible condition. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for professional hair coloring services. Extremely disappointed.

5 /5 Stacey Collazo: Jenny is my go-to stylist. I usually go to her for haircuts and I always love the outcome. She makes sure to listen to my wants and is super friendly and welcoming. I live in the city and go all the way to Queens for her, that should speak for itself. The salon pricing is more than reasonable, you should definitely check her out sometime!

5 /5 Cody O.: Went in for the first time yesterday and y’all, I cannot tell you how happy I am with my haircut! Jenny delivered on what I asked for and it’s been a while since I’ve been so satisfied with my hair. I went from chest-length hair to getting bangs, high layers, and face framing. My hair prior was noticeably thinning above my forehead but now you really can’t tell! Jenny was careful to keep a good balance so that my hair doesn’t look too thin from the layers and asked about my thoughts in between. Wash, cut, & blow dry was only $22 - that’s a crazy good deal! Will definitely be going to this spot moving forward and recommend it to friends.

5 /5 Ei: Jenny is great. She listens and also gives helpful tips. The cost of the haircut is also unbelievably cheap. I always come back loving my hairstyle. I would recommed New Melody to anyone whos looking for a pro hairdresser.

3 /5 Noshinara Shafa: Price is wonderful but the only thing i have a problem with is that there is only ONE person. Jenny is the only person cutting, dying, and styling so you end up waiting 3+ hours just to have a wash and cut. Appointments don’t matter. I had an appointment for 10:30am and now it’s 1:35pm and she still hasn’t seen me. Yes it’s a busy day for her but thats the issue… it’s only her! She seriously needs to hire more people because it’s way too much for 1 person.
