2 /5 Gay Retard: Went to fish the other day and ended up taking 3 contractor bags of miscellaneous plastic trash debris stuff flying all over the place, wrapped around vegetation in the water and the like. People suck, and irresponsible as anglers are the worst believe me I know but I mean come on who takes care of this place? Noone was outside during the hours that I was there but there was 20 cars and trucks in the lot. What a shame.

Gary Stevens: The current director certainly knows how to mount wonderful exhibits, directing obviously hardworking staff to showcase collections to their best advantage. Very professional and enjoyable; interesting and educational. No tickets/admission... donation box, which is lovely...I hope folks give generously. Well worth a visit as exhibits are of general interest along with local. Welcoming staff.

Oakley Corners State Forest -

Doris Galloway: This was my 2nd visit, Im still happy to hike here. Hiked B1 and B2 today. The intermediate to advanced was no joke, the back half of B2 is all up hill. Beautiful scenery, well maintained paths, not a lot of foot traffic (only ran into 4 people during my hike). Definitely recommend.

Hickories Park - Owego

Lenandjenn: It was a very clean peaceful park. We stopped by during our 8 hours drive to Canada. We had a quick lunch picnic stop there while kids play in the playground. Take Our Your Garbage policy in the park was great. It kept the ground clean. We enjoyed an hour of break there. The dog park was great too. Lots of little obstacles for the dogs to climb and run in. Must visit.

Sciencenter - Ithaca

Rohit Shah: Wonderful and very interactive place for young kids. Lots to play indoor and outdoor. Good learning opportunity for kids with interactive exhibits. Plenty of parking spaces. They also have mini golf which is a separate cost than the science center fee. Not too far from the downtown area.

Ithaca Falls Natural Area - Ithaca

Trip Tours & Beyond: Ithaca Falls was very beautiful. It was very icy and cold as well. The parking isnt great. It is tight, muddy, and slippery for being in a town. The trail would be much safer if there is daily salt sprinkling. Other than that, its a great place.

Triphammer Falls - Ithaca

Andromeda Dickey: Absolutely beautiful. I didnt know waterfalls were so loud! So cool to see in person. The campus is beautiful to see too! Definitely expect to get wet from the mist!

Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art - Ithaca

Nicky No Stacks: Definitely a must see while in Ithaca for 4 reasons: 1. Its free! Donations always welcome. 2. Diverse collection of works. BC to modern! 3. Stunning views of Ithaca, the lake, and the surrounding area from the 5th floor 4 . The architecture! Clean and elegant concrete facade and interior. The design actually took into consideration not to block the views of others not in the building. My favorite was the spiral staircase! 2 issues: 1. Parking close by might pose a problem. 2. No gift shop. I would have loved to have purchased books and prints of some of the featured collections.

Museum of the Earth - Ithaca

Ami A: We had our Wedding this past September at museum of the earth. Rob and Kelby were very helpful along with the other front desk staff who allowed us to tour the space, ask (a lot of) questions and it turned out to be such a fun space to host our guests. We had about 100 people and fit pretty comfortably. Its definitely a DIY type of space - we brought in all our own vendors including rentals, catering, DJ, and photographer. We had full access to the whole museum and enough space for a dance floor too. They also allowed us to play a slideshow of photos on a big tv in their little small theater that is usually there for the museum while the party was going on. We really wanted a fun unique venue and for our money to support a good cause and the museum of the earth really delivered on both accounts. Made for a fun theme too - we made our entrance in dinosaur costumes and had some fun dinosaur themed activities for the kiddos. Thanks! Stewart Park - Ithaca

Andromeda Dickey: Such an open park, lots of parking and spaces to sit, I saw a walking path and playgrounds. My kids would have loved this park! The lake is breathtaking too. Especially with the mountains in the background. Its a good place for a picnic or just to hang out!

Robert H. Treman State Park - Ithaca

Tim Surfield: One of my favorite places to hike and swim. Swim was closed when we went but love the fact you can climb on the waterfall face. Trails are well maintained but rim trail has a steep climb with lots of steps best to go down rim trail from the top of park. Gorge trail has lost a few viewing areas due to growth of vegetation since I started visiting here over the past 30+ years. Wish they still had the area at the front to drive through the water to get to camping area. Lots of childhood memories playing down there.
