1 /5 Sarah Hymes: This facility lacks support staff, which leads to good doctors moving to other facilities, and terrible service for patients. I had one good experience with a doctor (PCP) in the Internal Medicine department, but she left less than 6 months after I saw her. I booked with another doctor, who flaked on me 5 minutes before my appointment. When I walked into the Internal Medicine department on the 4th floor, there were two desks, each listing about six doctors that the person behind the desk was responsible for supporting. One desk was empty and the other desk was dealing with all the phone calls, requests, walk-ins, etc. To say the person sitting behind the other desk was over it would be an understatement. And I dont know that I can blame her. If this hospital creates an environment where support staff call in sick to get a day off, the rest of the staff will be overworked and under supported. What do you think this means for the patients? A crappy experience, of course. I wont be trying to visit any doctors at this location again.
