Laura Hayduchok: I was delighted to find this cute boutique and got acrylics done this morning. The shop is bright, welcoming, and immaculately clean. Ari did an excellent job with my nails and carefully made sure each nail was shaped and painted perfectly. She helped me pick out a color to go with my dress for a wedding this weekend and was lovely throughout the appointment.
Matt Marx: I really enjoyed my first two haircuts here, but I dont think Ill be back. Last time I went there I was in a hurry so I showed up before 9:00 to make sure Id be first in line, but by 9:15 it was still locked so I left. And this morning, I waited for 20 or 30 minutes only for someone who clearly knew the owner to show up and they let her kid in front of me.
Ivory Theodore (Theo): I asked Bradley to use his expertise to make me the least ugly version of myself. He gave me an updated version of the style I love, and he sculpted and completely transformed my facial hair. He is amazing, and Ill definitely be returning. The vibe of the shop is fun, relaxed, and friendly. I have found my new barbershop.
Brian Williams: Mikey David’s is the quintessential barber shop. The atmosphere, the community, and the quality cuts all contribute to the reason this barber shop has been the staple of men’s haircuts in the area for so long. My experience as a customer of Mikey David’s shop has always been positive. I have asked for several different types of haircuts and they never fail to deliver. When walking into Mikey David’s, I walk in with confidence in the barbers and leave feeling confident in myself. They are a Great group of folks who will cut your hair right and make you a pal in the community while doing it.
B S: Always grateful for the guys at Pesco’s! I’ve been bringing my son here for his haircuts since he was 18 months old. Now, at almost 4 years old, we’re happy to see familiar faces and they do a great job - even with a wiggly toddler. Always patient and friendly, the barbers at Pesco’s have ensured a positive experience for what can be scary to a small child. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for a clean shop in Ithaca. See you all in a few weeks for Liam’s next cut!
patrick bastian: Ive been getting my haircut here since early 2000s. Ive never had a bad haircut. Ive tried a couple of different places with mediocre results. I dont waste my time going anywhere else anymore . Always a pleasant experience! Al and staff are great people and very nice. Never a dull conversation!
Zaira Sylvain: I had an amazing experience with Kisha. I’m from NYC so it has been hard finding a hair braider in the Ithaca area. She did a great job and she works timely with a great a personality. I am so happy to have discovered Hanunahs Salon and Nakisha as a stylist. 10/10 recommend to anyone in the area.
Susan Greene: Im one of those people who just wants a haircut, with short notice, and with people who will listen to what I need. Im willing to risk a choppy cut with a really young stylist, and luckily Ive only gotten perhaps 2 of those, which I consider a pretty good track record, given that Ive been going here at least 8 years (thats a lot of cuts for someone with short hair). Every stylist has been a joy to talk to (and Im a 50% talker, not silent, but not overly chatty) and I walk out happy with my look. My last four (five?) cuts have been with Danielle (150% happy!) and Im now a total convert. I got bored of just a midlife-lady blah cut, and shes been carefully taking my hair into an asymmetrical shape. She listens to all my concerns. The vibe in the place is relaxed, and all the stylists seem to get along great, (or they hide their strife well, if there is any). Its clean, its convenient, its affordable, and Im happy. Now that I can book online, its even better. It occurred to me that for a service that makes my life SO much easier, I should go online and tell them they are awesome. So, Cost Cutter stylists -- You are awesome! Thank you for many, many years of great cuts and relaxed conversation.
