5 /5 Hasanul Banna: Among all parks in NYC, it has each and every element of a great park. It’s missing nothing. Very organized, clean, and safe. Visually incredible, especially in summer and spring. The middle lake makes it a very welcoming place for many kinds of ducks and other birds. Also, the vibe is real; you’re going to find many running and cycling groups here. Additionally, the middle field is a great place to sit and hang out.

Prospect Park Zoo - Brooklyn

Rithika Iyer: Cute little zoo tucked away in a corner of Prospect Park in Brooklyn where you can easily spend a couple of hours enjoying the animals. The main attractions are the sea lions in the central courtyard that love performing for visitors at feedings times, and a troop of Hamadryas Baboons. There are also a host of smaller animals in the buildings, an Aviary, as well as a kid-friendly Barn (goats, sheep, cows, pigs, alpacas) and a nice little Trail featuring a wetland with migratory waterfowl and animals like the red pandas, dingoes and emus. Youll likely spot a peacock or three roaming free around the zoo while youre around. They have clean restrooms and a water refilling station working year round, and a little souvenir store where you can also buy snacks and soft drinks. (this review is based on multiple visits)

Brooklyn Childrens Museum - Brooklyn

Matt Berger: An awesome experience for my 4 year old - he didn’t want to leave. There’s so much to do, and the layout is both easy to traverse and expansive enough that it felt like an enormous warehouse of fun for him. It’s definitely time for some updates, and I hope they get some funding help. Some of the exhibits are showing wear and tear from when my older kid came here 8 years ago.

Waterfront Museum - Brooklyn

Leslie Knott: I wanted to love it. I love maritime history. I expected exhibits like the Old Stone House. It’s two rooms and the captain telling stories. He was talking to other people and we didn’t engage. It’s nice that it’s there and restored but I would only recommend if you are already in the area.

The City Reliquary Museum - Brooklyn

Per Sveen: Very small space but packed to the brim with interesting things to look at. I really enjoyed the Statue of Liberty collection, the NYC geology cabinet, and the letters to Spider-Man.

I had the most exhilarating experience riding the oldest roller coaster here—it was super fun, and seeing my nieces let loose and share in that excitement made it even better! Although the food options here may be limited, you’ll always find something delicious along the beachwalk to satisfy your cravings. I’m giving it a full five stars because visiting Coney Island has been a childhood dream come true for me. But the magic doesn’t stop there. Beyond the attractions you see posted everywhere, there’s an endless array of unique experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Every corner of this vibrant destination is brimming with surprises that make you feel like you’re living in a fun-filled wonderland. I wholeheartedly recommend bringing your kids and teenagers along for the ride—they’re guaranteed to have one of the best times ever. Coney Island truly offers a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave you smiling long after you leave.

Brooklyn Grange @ Sunset Park - Brooklyn

Grace Singer: I loved the roof-stoop event I attended here on Sunday. My group came for a bachelorette party - we wanted to do something casual and covid-safe. This was perfect. The food was out of this world - I’m going to be thinking about that matcha dessert forever. The drinks were delicious and creative too. Half of my group was drinking alcohol and the other half was drinking non-alcoholic beverages - there were tons of creative options for both types. The views are insane. Lots of great photo spots.

John Street Park - Brooklyn

Nick S: John Street Park is a smaller Park in DUMBO right on the water, facing Manhattan. It has a few vantage points to look out and see the city, which makes it great for photo opportunities. The water does splash up a bit close to the walkways depending on the tide, but it is still a great spot to visit or take photos at.

Miranda: the most underrated view point! the walkway is designed so aesthetically leading into the park. the elevated skyline view is also stunning with the viewpoint angle thoughtfully designed. i just wish that there’s a little spot for people to sit down and enjoy this view.
