3 /5 victoria lo: I went to Rose Beauty because my normal threading salon wasn’t open and I needed to get my brows cleaned up before going on vacation. When I arrived there was no one inside which was a little concerning, but the woman at the counter was pleasant and helped me promptly. Normally I get my brows threaded but because I was in a bit of a hurry I opted for a wax. Now, it has been awhile since I’ve waxed any part of my face but I have to admit I was shocked at how irritated and red my skin was for the rest of the day. I still tipped the woman because I like the shape of my brows but I was very concerned at the lack of aftercare offered: at every other salon I’m always offered some cooling aloe to help with any skin irritation but here I was basically just shaped and out the door. It’s a no-frills experience but honestly I’ve paid less at other modest salons and gotten more service.
Still, I think the move is to get threading done here and not waxing. I don’t think there is anything wrong with the service but in general if you have sensitive skin be cautious about the waxing. I’ve had my brows waxed and threaded for years and NEVER had a reaction like I did from this salon. Oh well! I’ll stick to threading if I ever return. Polite and fast service.
