1 /5 Marissa Cassinelli: My family has been parishioners at this church for over 50 years. When a family member of ours passed away suddenly, we worked to have his funeral mass here. The priest blatantly ignored our wishes for the sermon. It was impersonal, inaccurate and insulting. The sudden loss of our loved one has been made only the more painful by the mishandling of his funeral mass.

1 /5 Mary Hogan: Pretty church but not welcoming to new residents. Moved to the downtown white plains area and was trying to find a local church when I got engaged and planned on having an out-of-state Catholic wedding. Reached out to the pastor for pre-Cana who abruptly stated he did not recognize me and asked what masses I had attended; I named a mass and he responded with ‘I don’t remember seeing you there’ which caused me to hesitate for a moment (while thinking how I could prove I’ve been to mass) and he interjected with ‘that’s what I thought’ and continued to tell me that this church wasn’t even considered my local church based on my apartment location and to instead go to St. John the Evangelist church that was a few minutes closer walk. He then ended the conversation and left without any further word from me. Worked out better because the priests at St Johns are very welcoming, helpful and could remember my face!
