5 /5 Joanna Fertig: My husband and I got married at St. Charles Borromeo in February 2018. The church is beautiful, the parish staff is very helpful and Father William Smith is wonderful to work with! We had people of many different faiths and backgrounds attend our wedding (including my husband!) and the parish was incredibly warm and welcoming to all. Sergio, the music director, went above and beyond to assist in making our music exactly what we hoped for. The wedding mass was perfect, I highly recommend this parish!

1 /5 Quantum Thomist: As a faithful Catholic, I cant believe I am writing a 1 star review for a Catholic Church, but my experience at this church justifies doing so. My sister (carrying her 2 month old baby) and her husband were both denied communion by a lay woman serving as the extraordinary minister because they presented themselves for communion without a mask (I went into the priests line and received communion without wearing a mask). This action is in direct contravention to Cannon Law and Redemptionis Sacramentum, as well as the General Roman Missal that states that a extraordinary minister does not have the authority to deny communion. The priest let this happen in plain view and did not correct the woman or offer an apology. Despicable behavior and abuse of the Holy Eucharist by people who are overly scrupulous about COVID/their own health, and care less about spiritual health.

Rev. He: This church is a shining star for Christ in the Bensonhurst community, where Monsignor V teaching, preaching and sharing the Word of God that relate to daily life. The altar art and the beautiful stain-glass windows with the rich colors through the light, reflecting the images of Jesus Christ, St. Mary and the Saints, reminding us God’s presence through the church tradition. In mass and meditation there I feel my soul and my heart is comforted and my spirit is lifted closer to God. I am thankful for Monsignor Viccarie and the congregation of this church.

Justa Wom: This is a church and granted, it is also a business. The neighborhood has changed a lot since the pandemic, namely, there are more cars making it harder to park. The church is calling the police to ticket residents who park in front of an empty lot they use as a parking lot. Couldnt they just issuing a warning? Not have police give residents tickets. A lot of people in the neighborhood are not working since pandemic. In addition, Ive learned that the church also have parking spots they rent out at a condo next door to the church.- at least 5-10 spots. Why not use those spots instead of ticketing people on the street? What would Jesus say about ticketing and calling he police on residents in the neighborhood? They should at least issue warnings instead of calling the police.
