1 /5 dyl pickle: While I haven’t gone to this church, I find it very hard to believe they’re “helping the poor” like everyone on here is saying. I was staying across the street from this place last week, and this church is the only church I’ve ever seen allow people to sleep outside its doors and shoot up drugs together on the ground. There was about four or five people literally doing drugs ON the street and they were all sleeping on and hanging out on the stairs to the church. THEN, my mom’s car was broken into during the night and my mom’s social security card was stolen. All on the street right in front of this place.
Please do not do a disservice to yourself as big as this, and find another church to go. The conditions of these people was quite atrocious, and even worse when we realized they had set up what looked like a camp of sleeping bags for them to do their activities in. They were nodding off walking back and forth right outside the church’s door.
I really hope they can find peace, and people who live nearby can get back to a safe and uninterrupted life. What a sad scenario…
