  • What Clients Are Saying about WNYC Transmitter Park (on GG)
5 /5 Juan Chavez: Great little park to walk around or sit and take in the sights. There’s a small pier too. Would recommend!
5 /5 Vivianne Barretto: I love this park. The views are great. I love the Mural. I find it very peaceful here. Ive seen Ducks, Geese and even Swans glide by here, on the East River. Ive also seen different types of boats. This is one of my happy places. Its also very dog friendly and people Ive met here are very nice.
4 /5 Melissa Naja: I didnt know there is a park here next to east river. It is a small park and after long walked my puppy and I couldnt find a bench to sit so we just sat on the floor under the shade. Lots of people just lay down on the grass and enjoy the sun. Dog must be on the leech which is I like. Because the park is next to the water so they have a fishing area but no shade or anything so it can be very hot in the summer.
5 /5 Alex: There are times in the city when you need a fix of flowing water. Of its sound rushing or dragging across the rocks, dredging the sediment from the East River’s silken basin. Those times should not fall during the summertime here—it is overrun by transplants, but that is a symptom seen throughout all of Greenpoint. Do take time to visit the flowing water in the wintertime. The chill brings a freshness to your bones, a youthful bite that even hyaluronic acid had a hard time achieving.
4 /5 Craig Mussman: This is a nice spot for a quick stroll with my wife and baby, with a nice view of the Manhattan skyline, the ConEd power plant, and yes, some new luxury apartments. There’s also a large mural with vines growing on it. It’s not a place to play soccer with your friends, but it is a good spot for a picnic or to watch the sunset.

Lee Berman: Im a native New Yorker but like getting the occasional refresher course to learn things that I might not have known or took for granted. Meri showed me some fascinating things that I pass by all the time but never take notice of, much less took the time to learn about. She did all the hard work and research for us. We were a small group so she was able to find out a little bit about each of us and tailor the tour to our interests. It felt like a custom, private tour. Highly recommended!

Allie Fleder: Best, safest neighborhood park. Go on a weekday at 9pm in the spring and you’ll see a woman by herself reading, a young couple laughing, an older couple making out. Just lovely.
    Cherry Esplanade - Brooklyn
    Cherry Esplanade
Chen Eriz: Absolutely stunning during full cherry blossom! The scene felt just like sakura season in Japan—rows of pink flowers dancing in the wind, with petals blowing like soft pink snow. It was a breathtaking and peaceful moment, perfect for relieving stress. A truly magical experience I’ll never forget. Highly recommend visiting during peak bloom!

Lindsey Reynolds: Lovely park, lovely people, but the off-leash dog people are out of control! I say this as a crazy Dog Mom with a rescue pitbull that I keep on a leash at all times. There’s a great gated dog park (both small and large dog areas), so it sucks that people take over the big lawn area with loose pups. We gotta work on our park manners, y’all! Two playgrounds keep it kid-friendly, an open theater, and a baseball field that’s closed off during winter. Let’s keep it clean and keep it leashed!
