5 /5 Lizz Hill: I’ve been to Kaaterskill Market many times and have always been so happy with the baskets, ceramics (made by local ceramicists), candles and soaps I’ve purchased. I’ve even made a custom dried floral wreath there! They always offer a unique, sustainable and elegant product and go out of their way to support and feature local artists in their community. I’m saddened to see recent reviews from people giving low reviews because they apparently expected a big box store shopping experience and prices. Maybe they should try Walmart if they want cheap soap and a warehouse full of products.

I always leave with something that brings me joy at home. I’ve collected several of her beautiful baskets over time—they’re not only gorgeous, but also incredibly useful. If you’re looking for a special gift, this is the perfect place. From hand-dyed socks and natural soaps to dried flower bundles and unique home goods, Katie’s collection is full of intentionally selected, high-quality items that anyone would appreciate. I love shopping small and supporting local businesses like Kaaterskill Market—and I always recommend others do the same!

5 /5 Robert Ribar: An amazing collection of artisan wares from baskets to candles to greeting cards. This is the perfect place to visit for Christmas or birthday gifts or if you want to take a piece of the Catskills home with you. Bonus points for the beautiful art deco store front!

1 /5 Natasha Ali: I was visiting Hudson with a friend for my birthday and we wanted to check out some other nearby areas for some fun shopping. I found Kaaterskill market and based on the pictures I was like I gotta get there. Welp, the photos are great, the store is tiny and overpriced for soaps and scent related items.
