2 /5 Hudson Valley Reviewer: This TJ Maxx location was very disappointing and honestly not what I’ve come to expect from the brand. I’ve shopped at many TJ Maxx stores, especially the Poughkeepsie location and others in the area, and this one falls far short in comparison. The biggest letdown was the home décor section, which was really bad. The selection was extremely limited, poorly organized, and felt picked over, with very little variety or anything that stood out. Shelves looked bare and cluttered at the same time, and it was hard to even browse comfortably. If you’re coming in specifically for home décor, this location is likely going to frustrate you. The overall layout of the store felt messy and uninviting, and it didn’t have that “treasure hunt” feeling TJ Maxx is usually known for. Items seemed scattered, and the store just didn’t feel well maintained compared to other locations I’ve visited. Even the clothing sections felt underwhelming and lacked good options. While the staff was fine and the checkout process was quick enough, that alone isn’t enough to make up for the poor selection and disorganized feel. Hopefully this location improves its inventory and presentation, because right now it doesn’t compare to the better TJ Maxx stores nearby.

5 /5 Katie Unger (Kat): If you are a shopaholic than you already knowwww. TJMaxx is my favorite place to go to kill anytime. Usually I dont need anything and will just walk around but when I decide I want to treat myself or need a gift for someone, this is my first stop. The store is immaculately clean always. Staff is always super helpful and nice and maintaining the cleanliness of the store. I never see staff doing nothing. I see them running around the store, restocking, cleaning, pulling old products, organizing clearance etc. This is one of the best run stores Ive been to!

5 /5 Chris James: Though I am a regular shopper at this chain I must say that this location is by far my favorite one to shop in. The shelves are always stocked full and neatly arranged and the staff remind you of the “good old days” of service industries when the customer was queen, or king, and your satisfaction was their sole purpose for being there. Add to this that my “returns” are made easy-peasy and the bathrooms are always spotless and you’ll understand why the Hudson T.J.Maxx is my go-to when it’s time to do my real store shopping thing. 5 /5 Jahnea Aleece: An excellent location although I have to admit it wouldnt be even half of the establishment it is without the manager Gail. I swear she is always there.. stocking shelves, helping customers. Doing whatever it takes. They always have a fabulous selection and it is one of the cleanest and most organized locations Ive been in. Hands down my favorite location, no question about it.
