Monica Diaz worst school ever. Dont go by the pictures you see. I used to go there in the early 2000 and the staff was mean and nasty. But who knows maybe they changed for the better from all those years ago.Maybe the staff are all new now. I see Ms Holmes still there.

Satarra Alexander A home away from home. I was 11, small, but big trouble. I was having major disciplinary problems in my former Manhattan public schools. I was blacklisted from further attending another New York public school. My mother searched as hard as any, to find an affordable boarding school option.
After many prayers and tears she came across Redemption Christian Academy. With scholarship options and work study, i was packed up and sent to Troy New york.
I was anxious, nervous, downright terrified. Not for long, however. The staff quickly opened their arms and hearts to me. I was given many opportunities and advantages while attending RCA. There was very structured education and religion.
I was able to travel, meet many note worthy people, i was introduced to many culural experience, arts, languages, political figures, educational tools thought only reserved for royalty(even met some of those). There was much cultural exchange, thanks to the many students that were adopted and sponsored by the staff and church family to attend the school.
I attended RCA until my graduation in 2000. The years i spent there mean more to me than words can express. I was raised like each member of the staff and church family were my own parents. I graduated valedictorian and was accepted to many top schools, with full or partial scholarships, but what i took away was worth more than my accolades and diploma. I left knowing that no matter where i travled next in life i still had a home back in Troy New York. A family.
Thank you,
Satarra Alexander
