EX Griffins Collage is a joke. Books are 4x the amount they should be on AVERAGE. Most professors recommended most of my friends to straight drop out because they needed help. To top it all off a quarter of the degrees are worthless unless you already have a job lined up from a recommendation.

Joseph Carmello The staff that operates and maintains this campus is excellent. Our company services a few hundred sites in NYC and the surrounding area and HVCCs staff is by far some of the best I hae had the privilege to work with!

TCamiS Both of my kids started here when they were each 16 years old and they each have had a great experience. Through a 24-credit program, my son completed his senior year of high school and his freshman year of college all at once. He continued on to graduate with his Associates degree, then transferred to SUNY Albany, where he will graduate with his Bachelors degree next term. My daughter started her freshman year at HVCC and will graduate with her Associates degree this term. The cost savings of community college along with the benefit of taking their first year or two to really figure out what they wanted to do before spending big bucks at a highly-priced University, definitely made a lot of sense to us. Im so glad we took this route and I highly suggest more parents and students look into this option. Especially if you dont want a hefty student loan to pay back! HVCC has grown tremendously throughout the years. Its so much more than just a community college... with unlimited learning opportunities and enriching life experiences, the possibilities are endless!

Monica Diaz worst school ever. Dont go by the pictures you see. I used to go there in the early 2000 and the staff was mean and nasty. But who knows maybe they changed for the better from all those years ago.Maybe the staff are all new now. I see Ms Holmes still there.

Satarra Alexander A home away from home. I was 11, small, but big trouble. I was having major disciplinary problems in my former Manhattan public schools. I was blacklisted from further attending another New York public school. My mother searched as hard as any, to find an affordable boarding school option. After many prayers and tears she came across Redemption Christian Academy. With scholarship options and work study, i was packed up and sent to Troy New york. I was anxious, nervous, downright terrified. Not for long, however. The staff quickly opened their arms and hearts to me. I was given many opportunities and advantages while attending RCA. There was very structured education and religion. I was able to travel, meet many note worthy people, i was introduced to many culural experience, arts, languages, political figures, educational tools thought only reserved for royalty(even met some of those). There was much cultural exchange, thanks to the many students that were adopted and sponsored by the staff and church family to attend the school. I attended RCA until my graduation in 2000. The years i spent there mean more to me than words can express. I was raised like each member of the staff and church family were my own parents. I graduated valedictorian and was accepted to many top schools, with full or partial scholarships, but what i took away was worth more than my accolades and diploma. I left knowing that no matter where i travled next in life i still had a home back in Troy New York. A family. Thank you, Satarra Alexander

Jeff Amos Ive been taking bass lessons with Lori since August 2011 when they first opened. Not only is she one of the kindest teachers Ive ever met, Ive found her lessons practical and helpful. Im a much improved player since these lessons. The best part has to be that Lori is one of the best bass players Ive ever heard. Shes clearly an expert.

He is so excited to learn more and we were very impressed with Kennys experience and patience with our son!! Half way through his first lesson, we knew we picked the right place!! Kurt Roenfeldt My 11 year old daughter has been taking guitar lessons from Kenny for the past 2 years and it has been wonderful. He is an excellent teacher and musician and is always helping her grow and progress her skills. TMA has given her the opportunity to play in front of audiences at Troy Night Out and Rockin on the River, which is a great experience (and motivator). I cant recommend TMA enough!

Alix Duggan Morning Stars Early Childhood Montessori Preschool is a wonderful place for children to begin their school education. The beautiful classroom environment makes them feel both secure and challenged, and the teachers know how to guide the students and help them learn naturally. This year, in addition to offering Kindermusik, Morning Star also offers Spanish Language lessons each week. My daughter looks forward to school every morning... and I look forward to hearing her exciting stories about her day!

C B Our daughter loves Morning Star and all her teachers and classmates. Our daughters experienced teachers have helped her gain many new skills and confidence. The student directed learning environment has allowed our daughter to quickly advance with her reading, writing, and math skills along with many life skills we didnt think of like snaps and buttons.

Amanda Montgomery The community really lucked out with the presence of such an amazing early childhood learning center. The teachers each have over 20 years of experience in Montessori education! Also with Kindermusik, Spanish lessons, come and observe days, extended day options, outdoor play... This school really is a gem. The environment is immaculate, safe and very engaging for children. Five stars!
