Emma Toplan Reason I’m rating this place one star is because they told me I got accepted over the phone then tell me they have to review my application first. They basically had lied to me then when I called a lot to see what was going on they told me to stop calling and said sorry if there was any confusion they didn’t even say why they did that. Don’t go to this place ever there are so much better schools out there.

DAHINER SD They do not specify if loans are being taken out towards your tuition. They will have the front desk staff memeber assist your enrollment application and all that good stuff by taking the computer mouse and checking each box on the computer that applies and then hurry you to the next page, while you sit there assuming you are being helped by them. It was my fault for not taking my time and reading through everything, but I also blame the financial advisors and staff for not explaining or specifying whats actually being taken out. I then asked if my financial assistance the only thing I thought I was applying for will cover everything in full and David from the office told me yes. I then arrived back to the office another day because I noticed loan statements in my emails. He then said well this is an expensive school and to not worry because once you graduate youll pay everything off. I took this as a complete insult as if they knew my situation or if Im guaranteed a job after I graduate. For one semester, I am now paying over 7,000 dollars in loans as a low income citizen. This was my first time ever considering going to college and as a new student they should of done a better job in just saying, YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE OUT A LOAN! Very simple right? This school had discouraged me in thinking about applying to any other college. It set me back financially but also taught me the greatest lesson of all. READ EACH AND EVERY WORD NO MATTER HOW LONG. Dont be fooled how nice this place looks. This school will get you for your money if you arent vigilant.$$$$$

E TC BEWARE! Terrible communication, extremely rude, terrible instruction. With many high hopes for Monroe college, especially nursing program, it’s such a waste of time. You will be expected to self teach 99% of program, told if you don’t understand it’s your fault and not the sleeping professor (even if you’re a 85% average). Spend your money on a cheaper program as you will not have a greater experience going private.

Indio_Taino 8 I had high hopes for this nursing program. With the price this school charges, the extreme lack of communication, lack of motivation to teach, unable to be placed in clinical, half set up simulations labs that you can’t use but pay for, and rude office staff, You may as well get free tuition at any CUNY/SUNY school. You’d think a private college would have a bit more.

Rico Lucenti As a military veteran with options to continue my education anywhere I chose Fordham University and the School of Professional and Continuing Studies for a number of reasons. As a working adult it allowed me to maintain my employment while offering a college campus experience at Rose Hill. All of my classes were a mixed of PCS, Fordham College, Lincoln Center, and Gabelli students. I was able to participate in campus events and Global Outreach projects all while earning a quality degree. I felt professors were very helpful and understanding for PCS students that have unique circumstances arise like late work days or Parent-Teacher meetings to attend. Attendance can be in resident, online, or hybrid. I completed my degree attending in a hybrid format meaning half of my classes were on campus and half were online. Classes for PCS students are available for attendance during the day, night, and online, all of which I have attended. As a PCS student you are allowed to take classes at any Fordham campus so I have taken majority of my classes at Rose Hill both day and night but I also had a semester at Lincoln Center for day classes which was a really nice experience. The two campuses are very different with Lincoln Center being located on the upper west side near Central Park and midtown. It offered a fast pace hustle and bustle environment. Where as Rose Hill in the Bronx is a 85 acre traditional college campus nestled between the Bronx Zoo and the New York Botanical garden. I would encourage PCS students to experience both and then choose a main campus to attend. There is also a campus in Westchester but I didnt take any courses there but a nice option for those who live near the area. The Fordham traditional students respected and appreciated non-traditional input towards discussions and I feel PCS students appreciated the fresh perspective from traditional students. I never felt uncomfortable attending classes. I felt part of the campus. My academic advisor helped me tremendously towards my goals and the professors wrote me exceptional letters to continue post graduate studies. I had access to workshops and a plethora of internships and employment opportunities to which I encourage PCS students to take advantage. The student veterans association is amazing. The Director and student body leadership was always active and presenting opportunities such as seminars for employment, job interviews, resume, LinkedIn profile, understanding veteran benefits, tutoring, and internship. They also provided many social gatherings and events like free tickets for Yankees, Mets, and NYCFC games and screenings of musical productions, plays, and movies. My experience was very rewarding and Im proud to have attended Fordham University as a non-traditional student through their School of Professional and Continuing Studies. Ultimately, the experience is what you make of it.
