Ellen Sweet Had a wonderful experience with Michael at Audacity Salon! The space itself was private and gorgeous, and Michael was so welcoming. Talking with him about what I was looking for, he immediately able to pinpoint the things I didn’t like about my current hair and discussed how it might be done differently. Michael very clearly has a wealth of experience and knowledge, and during the haircut itself he talked about what he was doing. Every step he was checking in with me and checking to make sure the haircut itself was even and symmetrical. I really appreciate the attention to detail he showed. I am thrilled with my haircut and will be returning! Also hoping to attend some of the events there, I haven’t seen Rocky Horror in forever.

Marisa Ledesma-Henry Michael brought my curls with a vengeance. He colored and cut these curls with perfection and skill.He also beautifully waxed and shaped my curls What a confidence boost and Ive been getting so many compliments!! Thank you

Nicole Aranya I previously gave Julie a 5 star review since I was very happy with the way my hair and makeup came out but that was all thanks to Marjorie and Emma! Come to find out almost 2 years later that she never paid them for their services and they are still fighting to get their money. Don’t work with companies who don’t pay their people! Book directly with Marjorie and Emma instead. They are wonderful. Do better Julie!

Kimberly 84 I called the salon to make a last minute appointment for my five year old son for a haircut. They were awesome and got him in that same day at noon. The salon was beautiful and clean. Tori was so kind and patient with my son. She didnt make me feel as though she was rushing through his cut just to get to the next client. She took her time and his haircut came out so good. I definitely recommend this salon but most importantly Tori. We already have our next appointment scheduled with her for Nov.

Aden Lessiak Like a few of the other reviews have mentioned, Julie is unreliable and a poor communicator. My initial hair and makeup trial was rescheduled last minute twice, which I didnt think much of until reading that others had a similar experience. Then, the evening prior to my wedding, I received a text that Julie had a family emergency and an alternative team would be provided. I was assured that I would be compensated for the last minute change. I was stressed, but again, didnt think too much of it because of course, family comes first and I cant blame anyone for having an emergency. The back-up team did an ok job, but clearly werent as experienced. The make-up artist was nervous to curl my eyelashes and asked me to do it myself. The hair stylist seemed to struggle a bit and many of the up-dos started falling apart a few hours into the wedding. We ended up running an hour behind and my makeup was the one being rushed, which was really a bummer. Hair and makeup was one of the things I was most nervous about and I was really disappointed with how I looked - no bride should have to feel that way on her wedding day. Even after all of that, I wasnt angry. It wasnt until I tried to contact Julie after my event that my opinion of her changed. I sent multiple texts and emails over the course of a few months and have heard absolutely nothing from Julie or her team. Again, this seems to be a pattern for Julie and is completely unprofessional. She clearly has no respect for her clients and I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for your wedding day beauty services.

Serena Beana I LOVE the way Modesta does my hair. She takes great care when washing & conditioning. The dryers are hot. And she doesn’t stop until it’s perfect. Me and both of my daughters have always had exceptionally good service. The shop is comfortable. Parking has never been a problem. Theres a vending machine & ATM. She takes cash and card, Apple Pay too. Best in the business.

John de Rosier Francesco is a skilled and talented barber who turned my vague guidance into a winner of a haircut. Went in looking pretty rough and left looking and feeling like a million bucks, all at a fair price. Take in their beautiful studio barbershop on Troys must-visit River Street. Highest recommendation.

Ross Van Doren Francesco is the absolute best. He definitely knows what he’s doing and puts time and care into each and every appointment. The space is pristine and nicely decorated. If you’re looking for a barber in the Capital Region, look no further! Highly recommend.

Nathan Uchytil A good hair stylist is hard to find. Every haircut Rimma has given me (over the course of many years) has been excellent. Shes truly exceptional at what she does. To top it off, she has a great personality which makes for some good conversations. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

Cora Woods They were closed when their store hours in person and online say they should be open. I was disappointed.

Monica Arnold I just recently went to this store!!! First let me say that it’s nice. Now when I walked in there were three young boys very polite but knew nothing about the products or hair. I asked for a 27 mix curly wig and he had to call his parents for pricing that took 20 mins and then I was quoted a price if 130 with tax 150and was told the unit was 100% human hair when in fact it was not. This hair was shedding and felt like synthetic hair. I don’t mind supporting black own businesses but be truthful. All wigs are non-refundable it was not a quality wig. I am going to do a consumer report and BBB complaint. 150 is a lot of money to only be able to wear this wig one time!! I want my money back or made good in the mess I was sold!! Be honest your surely just loss a customer. I’m going to add the photo of the unit.

Joey Pipino Johnathan is the best Barber that I have been to in awhile. Like many comments below "this place has 5 stars for a reason". he gave me a hair cut that got me compliments where ever I turned. I will be returning.

Darius Atkinson I’m from out of state and this was my first time getting my haircut in NY. They do it differently out here. Service was a 10/10, the guys were easy to talk to and very good at making entertaining and good conversation. Both of the guys were charismatic and knew what they were doing and loved what they did. Now the haircutting. I booked and got a cut with Jonathan last time, and good lord does he know what he’s doing. Everything from his fades to his lineups are pristine. He takes time and a lot of focus to give you the right haircut. He is very knowledgeable and great at what he does. My girlfriend loved my haircut all thanks to Jonathan. He gave me an incredible cut, and did extra stuff that I didn’t ask for and didn’t charge me a cent extra. Anyone who goes here better tip well because this barber shop Is more than worth it. Amazing cuts, amazing prices.

Alicia Talbot Went with my bf, we are new to the area and were looking for a nice barbershop, Johnathan was awesome! He was very personable and friendly. He took the time to actually consult with my bf on what he was looking for which is not something I see from many barbershops in the past. He listened to the concerns my bf had regarding his hair and was able to take care of all the issues. My bf loves his hair and is very happy! Will definitely be going back!

Specialty Computer Services Not impressed. Same shoddy manicure as at mall or walmart location. Where can someone get a real and decent manicure at a reasonable price???

Durasia Anderson Eboni is great! Growing up as the child of a stylist makes it hard to find someone you trust with your hair. So my first few years of college I learned to do my own hair. But then I found Eboni at So Beautiful Hair Salon. The first time I went to Eboni was for a press and curl last August. She was and always is so kind and gentle (I am quite tender headed). She also takes great care of my very curly natural hair. The products she uses not only smell amazing but are handmade and makes my hair look and feel very soft and healthy!

Shayla Timmons I have absolutely loved working with Eboni for the past 9 months. When I first came to her my hair was suffering from stress and I was experiencing breakage at my hairline. But with her shampooing and detangling methods (I have 4C and fine hair and she is very gentle) as well as taking the time to make sure my scalp is clean and moisturized, hair has never looked better. Family and friends have noticed too! It feels/looks stronger and thicker. I am beyond happy with her services and she has a loyal customer in me.

Emily Boziwick The best salon experience! Christopher has done my hair a few times now and I already feel like he knows me so well. I explain what I am looking for and show him a quick picture and he just totally gets it. He even suggested something extra for the haircut this last appointment based on my initial request and it came out absolutely stunning - nothing I would have ever been able to ask for, not knowing what looks good on me. Now I know! The atmosphere is welcoming, friendly and fun! Everyone is so nice and conversations flow so easily throughout the salon. It’s not a dreaded salon visit when I go, unlike other salons I’ve been to where it’s too loud, too busy or just takes up my whole day. It’s actually an enjoyable, calming experience at his salon. The prices are reasonable as well for the high level of skill and professionalism!

I have curly hair, and every time my hair is cut I leave almost in tears. I havent been able to find someone that can give me a nice hair cut. Until now. Andrea knew exactly what she was doing and she did a beautiful job with a balayage and hair cut and styling of my hair that I had to leave a glowing review. Absolutely go to this salon. You will not regret it.

M Good cut, okay price of$30 for teenage boy. Got the new guy. Took about a hour 45 min to cut. Did a walk in and they took right away. Great attention to detail by everyone there. Had the time to observe a few cuts by the others during this time.

Kimberly 84 Ive never been here before and definitely wont be taking my son here. I just called to make an appointment for my son and the man who answered was extremely rude and mean. When he answered I said "Hello, I was wondering if you had any appointments available for today for a kids cut" and the man who answered was rude and said "ya know what... No, no I dont, its a bad day" and then just hung up on me. He could of said, sorry I dont have anything for today, would you like to make an appointment for a different day instead of being rude and just hanging up. Its fine though, Ill gladly take my business and my money somewhere else.
