2 /5 Matthew: Their systems seem to be outdated and unreliable, and their customer service is disgraceful.
The branch set up an automatic monthly transfer from my checking account for a loan payment, but the amount doesnt match the amount due on the loan. Im unable to update the amount online; their customer support team says only the branch can manage the transfer, and the branch has no idea whats going on and responds with "its only, like, a dollar, does it really matter?" Appalling. Im sure if I underpaid by a few dollars, I wouldnt get out of the late fee with the same response.
I was told by the customer support team that if I made a manual transfer of the correct amount, then that payment would supersede the automatic transfer. Kind of ridiculous, but it at least worked for a couple of months. Until it didnt, and my account was overdrawn due to a double transfer. The branch declined to refund the overdraft fees, calling the whole situation my "error." They were able to reverse the transfer (eventually), but then didnt call me back until a day afterwards, causing yet another day of overdraft fees.
I gave up about the fees and at least got them to say they would look into why the automatic transfer is incorrect and call me back in a day or so. Ten days later and still havent heard anything.
