Spoke Fitness Studio - Rochester - Rochester
Anna Domiano: I love going to Spoke! It’s my favorite way to start or end my day. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I always leave feeling sweaty and accomplished! It’s clean, organized, and the staff is knowledgeable and super helpful. They offer a variety of classes and make it super easy to sign up! I absolutely recommend to anyone. :)
World Gym Greece NY - Rochester
Stefano Korlou: The price is perfect but the gym has alot of damaged or worn down machines. I can tell they been improving some machines cushions. But another thing that ticks me is the dumbbell are so terrible organized. The way they set the weight limits from one side to the other is so disorganized. Also they havent fixed one of the mirrors in over 2 years which is pretty sad .......see the picture I posted
Frequency Wellness Space - Rochester
Robyn Paige: I am so grateful to be a founding member at Frequency— it truly is a studio and vibe like no other in Rochester. For over 2 years now, I have taught Yoga and Reiki in the gathering space, and offered Reiki healing sessions to our Rochester community members in the sanctuary spaces— all of which are filled with love and good energy, kept clean and tidy, and overall such a welcoming space to bring my clients into. Our community at Frequency is special, inclusive, open-minded and kind-hearted. It’s been amazing to grow, heal, learn and teach alongside so many other amazing teachers, practitioners and students. Karen, owner and Frequency leader, has gone above and beyond to make this space what it is!
LA Fitness - Webster
elise bennett: I’ve been to a lot of gyms, but the LA Fitness in Webster truly stands out. The entire facility is immaculately clean — from the locker rooms to the equipment floor, everything feels fresh, organized, and well-maintained. It makes working out so much more enjoyable. A huge shoutout to Matt, who was incredibly helpful during my visit. He went out of his way to answer questions, explain equipment, and make sure I had everything I needed. You can tell he really cares about the members’ experience. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a clean, welcoming, and well-run gym!
Varsity Gym - Rochester
james brodsky: Great atmosphere
Planet Fitness - Greece
Sondra Monroe: The place is clean and machines are operable. I have only seen 1 machine which had a temporary out of order sign. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. Matter of fact staff recommends usage of other machines which offer the same results and are less strenuous My only complaint is there are always 2 staff persons at the front desk, (who are not always busy and talking) when in my opinion, one of the staff, could walk around the area and instruct people on proper usage of the equipment, if they see a person not using equipment properly. I always have to leave the equipment and walk to the front desk, request assistance and then walk back with the staff person to the equipment. I’m a Black card member and such action would benefit all customers. I’m not asking them to be a trainer but it is PF equipment and everyone should know how to use it properly. I use the information that’s on the equipment for instructions but after scanning 2 devices, the instructions are no longer readable on my iPhone 16 Pro device, which is the most current device. I believe PF should become more proactive in assisting customers. It does not cost PF to be more observant of their customers. It might eliminate liability claims. Check with your insurance carrier.
GYM Rx Personal Training - Rochester
Edward Popil: I LOVE THIS GYM! I’ve been to many gyms in my day and Gym RX is top notch! Louis fosters a very friendly & supportive atmosphere where everyone feels encouraged and pushed to meet their goals. I have learned that Personal training works for me when I commit to long term consistency and having a place where I look forward to working out in matters. I have worked with Luciano Capitano for a few years at this location and look forward to many more. When you stop in you’ll feel welcomed right away!
The Reformery Rochester - Rochester
Karyn Haskel: The team and overall experience at The Reformery are truly A++. The classes are small and personal, and the instructors are fantastic (looking at you Ashley B!). The workout itself is a solid 10/10. Having never taken Pilates before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was blown away. The muscle engagement, core intensity, and mindful focus make these classes something really special.
The Fit Brand Co - Rochester
Sheila Epps-Foxx: Ive been working with a Fit brand Trainer for many years now. I need to see her a few months a year too start on track and elevate my workout.
Planet Fitness - Rochester
Patrick Bacon: Whoever was in charge of the new rearrangement of equipment obviously didnt really have the members in mind. Not only is it set up like a maze, but once you finally find the machine you want to use, the ones that are identical to it are on the entire other side of the gym. Shouldnt similar equipment be next to each other? That alone doesnt make any sense to me. To make things worse, the placement is so awkward. On half the machines, youre awkwardly facing other people who are working out on other machines just feet away. I dont want to stare at somebody else as I (and they) are trying to work out. The worst part of all, the new handlebars theyve installed on the Smith machines are super rough and not smooth, so when youre benching, you have this stabbing, sharp pain pushing into your hands like sandpaper. I left the gym and hour ago and my hands are still sore. I brought this up to the front desk and he didnt have any solution or advice, just said he didnt know. Nothing he can do about it, but I asked him kindly to bring it up to management because nobody wants to go to the gym and have a painful or confusing experience. Im really bummed with these changes... I overheard others complaining as well. I dont want to just be a complainer just because there are changes, but I wouldnt be if they didnt make for a bad experience. The new machines themselves are decent (though also not necessary), but the placement is just nonsensical and those bars are extremely painful for lifting. This reminds me of when they got new treadmills and to increase the speed you have to press the button each .1 of speed you want to increase, whereas you used to be able to just hold it down so it would increase quicker. Why make things harder? I dont get it.
