1 /5 Kiki Bee: I reported them to the BBB for selling me fake earrings. You can read the complaint in the Better Business bureaus profile for Main Jewelers. I asked a well known high end jewelry shop to clean my "gold" earrings. I was advised my earrings werent gold and thus could not be cleaned there. I got the BBB involved immediately. A meeting was facilitated by the BBB. The meeting did not go well. Mr Lee told me the other store "lied on him" because they are "in competition". I explained I was in a luxury store that sells engagement rings and other brand names Main Jewelers doesnt carry. A high end gold and gemstone jeweler is not competing with a casual jewelry store for sales. Mr Lees wife became irate overhearing the conversation and was very nasty and rude. Her yelling made it hard for Mr Lee and I to get anything resolved. I SETTLED for him cleaning the tarnish and he agreed to add gold to the areas that clearly were fake. I never would have wanted gold plated earrings in the first place and that was Mr Lees solution because he would not do a return. I have since found a better location for casual gold jewelry that I can TRUST and shop there OFTEN. Avoid this place at all costs but report these scammers every chance that you get (BBB, small claims court, the attorney general!) Even the guy doing security was shaking his head telling me they do people wrong...
