  • New York Sports Club - Queens
    New York Sports Club
Hassan Hashi: I had a great experience at New York Sports Club in Astoria. The gym is clean, well organized, and has everything you need for a solid workout from free weights and machines to cardio equipment and functional training space. I got a really nice workout in, and what made the experience even better was how friendly and welcoming the staff was. They made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. Definitely a great neighborhood gym with a positive vibe. Looking forward to coming back.
    Blink Fitness (PureGym) - Queens
    Blink Fitness (PureGym)
Angel Torres: This has to be the worst Blink in NYC. Parts of the floor are ripped up, machines are worn down, its layout is terrible and it is CONSTANTLY crowded. No water anywhere on second floor and scarce cleaning stations. Blink also updated its policy in July 2025 to not allow guests for any membership tier, which makes no sense. They need a reality check. This is a BUDGET gym on the same level as Planet Fitness, not its parent company Equinox. Speaking of Planet Fitness, the PF 5 minutes away (FIVE MINUTES WALKING) is beautiful. State of the art machines, machines Ive never seen before, 5+ squat racks, dedicated dead lifting racks, and a massive amount of space. Despite Planet Fitnesses bad reputation, you are better off going there than here.
    Life Health Fitness - Whitestone
Salvatore Bacarella: I’ve been coming here for years, and there’s truly no gym like this. It’s spotless, modern, and the vibe is unmatched. The staff is always welcoming. I had to take a break because of school, and I missed it so much — coming back has completely changed me. Clean, motivating, and simply the best!
Very Good Gym LIC - Long Island City
Christina Gregory: I started going to Very Good Gym in the spring of 2022 when they had recently opened. I was so grateful I was able to find such a great personal training experience in my area and that remains true to this day. Travis made me feel welcome. I have been working with a couple of different personal trainers with different styles and they are all very intuitive, respectful, and understanding of my workout needs. I love coming to this gym and also love that they have yoga classes for me to get back into as the teacher Elizabeth is so lovely. Truly a great asset to the neighborhood!
Fitness Center - Kew Gardens Hills
L C: I was a member during my college years. However, even though their website states alumni can buy membership, they still refuse and claim only currency students. Please update your website to say that!
    TDE Performance - Latham
Billy Ciejka: The best trainer in the 518! So knowledgeable and best of all very motivational. Very private and convenient gym that allows me to dial in to my workouts without distractions!
Athletic Edge Sports Center - Staten Island
Vitaliia Yurchak: I recently received an invoice for classes at your sports center. However, I have not registered my children for any programs or activities there. I would also like to share that my previous experience with your center was quite disappointing. I found the environment to be unprofessional, the staff unmotivated, and it seemed that the primary focus was on generating revenue rather than improving the experience or facilities for the children. Overall, it was not a positive experience, and I do not intend to return or enroll my children in the future. Please ensure that no further invoices are sent to me.
Fastbreakers of New York Inc - Staten Island
Frank Couso: The dusty court is great in the summer for when you miss ice skating. Get this place a mop and its 5 stars
F.C. Chaos Boxing & Fitness - Staten Island
Anthony Abela: Growing up, I always had a hard time interacting with people, but going to these lessons brought out another side of me. I stopped seeking validation for what I do, and instead found confidence in myself. Every single person in this gym has been kind and welcoming—it feels more like a family than just a training space. It’s not just about throwing punches here. It’s about learning patience, discipline, respect, and work ethic—a way of life. I’m not a biased person, and I can honestly say if you’ve ever felt like you don’t belong anywhere, come here. You won’t regret it.
CKO Kickboxing Tottenville - Staten Island
Angelica Latorre: Absolutely love CKO Tottenville. The trainers are genuinely motivating, skilled, and caring. The owners have created an environment that makes members feel like family. The course offerings are varied and fun. This is the first routine I’ve stuck with long term and the results are palpable, both physically and mentally.
