He responds quickly, understands your needs and will even go to your house to help family members who are not able to physically leave the house. Attorney Weldon drove to my elderly mothers home so she could sign and create her last will and testament. In an age where other offices would refuse to offer this service- Attorney Weldon showed compassion and professionalism in every instance. I could not recommend any one else, and will always use his services for whatever need may arise.

I understand all cases are different and you have to choose wisely, but it was unprofessional and not someone Id want to work with.

Tracy Cardarelli We bought a lake house and we almost lost the house because our attorney didn’t read our email about making a cash offer and waited over 2 weeks trying to contact the bank instead of reaching out to us. After we sent a check for the purchase she returned $5,000 saying we overpaid. A week later we were contacted by our realtor that we owed that money back. She was aggressive and unhelpful for most of the process. I would never use them or recommend their services. I asked for a refund and no one ever got back to me about that. One huge disappointment!

Olivia Pack This review is long overdue. I got divorced a couple of years ago and Mr. Porter made it all happen very quickly and painlessly. I received a consult and was able to ask any and all questions to make sure I was in the right hands. I had previously went to another law firm in Watertown where I received zero consult but was expected to pay a $2500 retainer to find out the next steps. I am so glad that I found Mr. Porter. My divorce was finalized within 3 months and I was kept in the loop throughout the entire process. The paralegal, Rhonda, that worked for him at the time (not sure if she’s still there) was wonderful as well.

Meagan Alvarez GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I am a realtor and referred them to represent my client, who was purchasing a home. We did not hear from them for over 2 weeks. Emails were sent about scheduling a closing date and these people were MIA. Had to call multiple times and each time they had no answers for us. We needed to close as quickly as we could because my clients rate lock had already gotten EXTENDED, because of this attorneys lack of communication and had 4 days left of rate lock. These people had ZERO sense of urgency, we had to find another attorney last minute. Give your business to someone else!

Samantha Fish If I could give less than 1 star I would. Renee was too busy to actually help me and go over things about my divorce and custody agreement. In court after my divorce I spoke with her and she assured me I wasn’t losing time with my kids but I lost phone calls and visitation days over summer break because of her carelessness. We never went over the paperwork together she was regularly late to our appointments and then rushed me out the door for her next client. When I tried to talk to her about the issue with how court went I was told that I would have to pay for another consultation on top of all the emails she was charging me for when SHE messed up. She’s money hungry and overwhelmed with clients. If you’re looking for someone to dismiss you and treat you like trash her office is the money pit for you.

Elizabeth Shannon They only take on cases that are sure to win. I talked to the lawyer herself only 3 times in a span of at least 3 years, everything else is handed off to the receptionist who is overloaded with work. I was always rushed and they were careless. I was given somebody else’s MEDICAL RECORDS. I have pictures to prove this. Advice was sloppy and I felt like only a number. Unless you’ve already put in the work yourself, don’t bother to waste your time (years) here.

J B Lawfirm refused to Present my Workers Compensation Case in American Arbitration Association as it should have. Would not recommend. Alice told me over the phone how she didnt care about my case whatsoever because i called her out on how my case should have been presented in The AAA. Alice Refused. The office in Watertown New York is NOT ADA Compliant as stated on Google and on their Website. I was recommended this lawfirm by a family friend. After learning how Alice treats people our family and friends will absolutely steer clear. Alice also attempted to Charge Legal Fees she refused to explain.

Marina Smith I am in a potential Chapter 13 situation and was advised by good lawyer friend to call this law firm, with understanding that even if they cant take my case they will be able to answer my questions and possibly steer me in a right direction. I looked this law firm up, read the reviews, so I felt a glimmer of hope. Called. Started asking a question and before I was able to finish my question, I was cut short and told that they cant help me because they only file new cases and dont work with cases that have already been filed. Informed that I can contact the attorney who had filed the case for both of us. I said that it was not an option for me. I had to repeat myself as that was suggested again. I tried to explain to the receptionist with "legal training" that I am looking to have a separate case and was wondering if someone could answer some of these very confusing and complex questions or steer me where to turn but she cut me short again and said that maybe I should just Google it and that an attorney wont have time for me to be answering questions. She also suggested that I could call the NY State Bar Association. I am not sure if my foreign accent played a role in response that I had received but it certainly left me wondering. I am not convinced that not actively listening to the end of the question or explanation, be it prospective or current client, another lawyer or a judge is a good practice. Disrespectful, condescending and demoralizing tone, "no time for your questions" attitude hardly qualifies as any star at all and does not reflect well on overall attitude and culture of the office. One star for answering the pone and suggesting to use Google and call NYS bar, because this foreign female had no idea she could do that. You enlightened me.Thank you.

He handled my difficult case after consulting with several other attorneys that could not help me. When it came time for my settlement, I was charged less than the normal percentage alloys by NYS. And that confirmed I made the right choice. it’s not about the money to Stanley law!
