5 /5 Thomas Robinson: El Chamo, home of the $45 margarita tower and so much more. I really wanted to order one, but the boss said no.
Its a snowy day over Christmas break and the town is quiet, but Chamo is glowing and inviting.
The golden ceiling reflects the warm lighting, making for a very cozy feel. The strong, bit balanced cocktails and great tequila selection made us stay. Originally we were popping in for just one drink and to kill some time, but once my wife tasted the hand crafted margarita, we stayed.
She rarely orders a second drink, especially if we are not having dinner, but because Chamos was so tasty, she got another!
This allowed me to pound 5 or 6 Pacificos. Once she was in the mood we topped off our afternoon with a little 1942.
Like I said, a fun selection of tequila. They even had Clase Azul, which I chug like a heathen when the wifey isnt looking.
Oh. They have a nice little bathroom. Super clean and a great mural. I mean, bathrooms are important. This one is right off the bar area, but it still feels kinda secluded and relaxing.
Give Chamo a shot, well be back again. We didnt get a chance to eat, and we really want to know what the kitchen can do, especially after having a great experience at the bar.
A special thank you to Virginia for making our afternoon enjoyable, you are a great hostess.
