La Marchande - New York (NY)

4 /5 Udit Anand: We decided to visit La Marchande for breakfast on our anniversary, and it was a great experience (all things considered). The only reason to give it four stars was that there were things that didnt meet our expectations and that they could improve on (see below). The place had a nice, welcoming feel with Holiday decor around the hotel and the dining area in particular. We ordered the Egg Sandwich, which was delicious (the spicy sauce was an excellent touch). The Avocado Toast was also very good and probably the highlight of the meal. The white omelette was average (the egg portion size was small, the accompanying potatoes could have been more flavorful) and probably not the best thing on the menu. The beverages was almost entirely forgettable. The Mushroom Latte was served at lukewarm temperature and it was not enoyable. The earl grey tea was also not served hot. When we asked for a pot of jasmine tea, the server forgot about it. When we called for the check, they had added a drip coffee to the bill which we hadnt ordered. When we brought it to the attention of one of the staff members, they didnt seem to believe us and I had to show them the glasses on the table to confirm. While the service was hospitable and polite on the whole, the few misses were disappointing. Overall, it was a good experience and we enjoyed our visit to La Marchande even if a few things were off.

5 /5 Vannell F: I had the most delicious 3 course restaurant week lunch at La Marchande. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Eddie who welcomed me in and seated me. The restaurant is beautiful and smells amazing. I ordered the shrimp cocktail to start followed by the burger and the strawberry tiramisu. Everything was absolutely delicious. I didn’t want to have alcohol so Eddie suggested the non-alcoholic wine (Non) which was deliciously refreshing. Oscar was my server and he made sure to check on me. He was very kind and attentive. Excellent service. This was a 10/10 experience and I cannot wait to return for dinner and brunch.

5 /5 Vipul Singh: Went for a business meal sponsored by a generous interviewer. Neat place with friendly staff. Right next to the Wall Street Hotel where I was staying, so also very convenient. Group of 5 went for dinner and we had a nice little booth-like area with cushioned sofa-like seating to ourselves. I had the salmon entree and it was great! Also really enjoyed the strawberry tiramisu - two of my favorite foods put together.

5 /5 Liz Bailey Cabrera: Visited this restaurant for lunch and I had the French dip and fries. The French dip was good but not great. The fries, however, were phenomenal!! The service was great and the restaurant is beautiful. I look forward to returning again.
