2 /5 Rielly Neely: Relatively new spot that offers traditional American fare. There were 3 of us and we ordered mozzarella sticks for the table. They were somewhat hot and served with a cold thin marinara, likely a jar sauce. My wife and I both got coffee, it was fairly weak. To be honest weve been spoiled by the place we normally go to.
For the main entrees, I got a rueben with fries, my wife got a bowl of taco soup, and her sister got a patty melt.
The rueben wasnt great, too much sauerkraut made the sandwich imbalanced, very vinegary and the corned beef was quite dry and crumbly.
The taco soup was a farce. It was what tasted like cheap canned chili topped with fritos. Not very hot. Maybe offer other toppings like cheese, sour cream, pico de gaillo, or cilantro crema.
The patty melt was surprisingly good my sister-in-law said. Though she felt the fries were not.
Overall the atmosphere was inviting and the owners were pleasant. The food was a big miss for me. If I come again, it will only be for the turtle charms they sell.
Last note: Please wear a hair net and gloves while prepping the dishes youre serving. Simple PPE like that will help elevate your food, if but a touch.
