1 /5 Stacey Hawkins: Genuinely wanted to give this spot another try after a not so pleasant experience the first time of attempting to grab some food and a drink late on a Saturday night.. We figured the BOTTOMLESS MIMOSA BRUNCH has to be the Sunday Albany spot to be at..
There was only one table in before us, maybe 6-8 people, not too large but also not overwhelming to handle.
There was 1 person taking the orders, mixing the drinks & serving. 1 other person seen running the food.
The mimosas were heavily sugary juice in plastic cups.. at least let the table handle the mixing of the juice and champagne, utilize the small bottles for portion control or let the table buy the whole bottle to handle..
The food arrived in to go containers. I wondered why the food was already in to go containers, first thought it was helping with dishes with short staff, I can understand that. nope, FOOD WAS BEING ORDERED & BROUGHT IN FROM ANOTHER RESTAURANT DOWN THE STREET!
Nothing was actually cooked in house.
Found out when the order came incorrectly, someone was unable to eat the food that was brought to the table, they had to re enter the order. Due to the sugary juice, my friend could not wait any longer for the food to arrive to eat (1.5 already being there still waiting to eat) left the restaurant to go home. My friends seen the food runner, bringing food from another restaurant
I then waited another 15 mins for the manager to come back to remove items off the check we never received. Absolutely not worth it, I have no idea what we even paid almost 200$ for.
The manager could give no cares about what was happening, he looked miserable being there himself same with the server, I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t wanna deal with that environment and have to serve people with the constant chirping of the detectors that need batteries changed. The bathrooms were even worse, clogged toilets with no soap paper towels or toilet paper. I think little less hookah smoking and little more working could make this place successful…
