5 /5 Christopher DiFulvio: The Pioneer Cafe in Glenfield is a true culinary gem with a warm local vibe and cooking that rivals top New York City spots. The omelettes alone are worth the drive from anywhere in the state. If you are coming from Canada, it is absolutely worth crossing the border for what may be the best homemade English muffins you will ever have. Everything is done right. The English muffins are perfectly fluffy, never over salted or over buttered. The omelettes are filled with fresh vegetables that are cooked just right and balanced beautifully. Nothing feels heavy or rushed. It is simple food done at a very high level. If you find yourself anywhere near Lewis County, make the trip. The Pioneer Cafe is easily one of the best diners in New York State and a place that deserves to be sought out.

5 /5 Mike Kehl: Great little local diner! Plenty of parking and lots of room to sit inside. Menu has lots of options for lunch, we choose the hot turkey sandwich and the turkey wrap with fries. Our choice was great, the turkey sandwich was tender with plenty of turkey and gravy served with homemade mashed potatoes and a cup of cranberry sauce too. We will sure visit this place again when in area!

5 /5 Emily Kirkpatrick: Such a quaint little place! The servers were all super nice and seemed to share the workload, which I think is great. The food was delicious too- highly recommend the bang bang cauliflower. I would suggest management consider all day breakfast if possible - my husband & I got there at noon but hoped to be able to get breakfast and we heard two other customers ask about breakfast during our time there as well. Seems like it would be popular!
