River Court on Main - New City (NY)

4 /5 Jodi Z: We recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The highlight was definitely the wonderful outdoor patio — such a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Service was phenomenal from start to finish, attentive and friendly. As for the food, it was a bit hit or miss. The Monaghan Chicken was underwhelming and unfortunately didn’t use fresh spinach. The Penne A La Vodka was decent, though the blackened chicken on top had some questionable seasoning. On the positive side, the New England Clam Chowder was excellent and is something I’d definitely recommend. Overall, a nice spot for the atmosphere and service, but the food could use a little more consistency.

5 /5 Michelle Gorman: Great food and *exceptional* service! When my husband, son, and I came in for dinner and one of the employees (maybe owner?) noticed we were drenched from the rain storm outside, she insisted on giving us dry shirts so wed be comfortable while dining. Their attention to treating customers like family/friends really blew me away. You can also tell theyre a neighborhood institution by all the local plaques on the wall. Ill certainly come back when Im in the neighborhood and make sure to highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wholl listen.

5 /5 Laura B.: Friendly casual pub vibes! Great service and great food!! Tried the honey barbecue wings: yum!! I had the Reuben wrap from the specials menu with a side of fruit for lunch. The Reuben did not disappoint and was probably the best thing I ate today! My dining partner had the steak sandwich which was also really delicious. Reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend and return!

5 /5 Jessica Rios: My husband and a few friends of ours happened to be visiting the area from NYC, and we were elated to find this place! It has it all. A comfortable atmosphere, fantastic and attentive service, and super solid pub menu. Loved the fish and chips (rightfully and properly served with malt vinegar!), shepherds pie, and chicken pot pie. We also started with cups of the New England clam chowder - which was nice and hearty. Whenever we are in rockland county again - we’ll be back.
