The Country Vibe - Clifton Springs (NY)

1 /5 Aaron: Went to the New Countryside Restaurant in Clifton Springs.last night. First time since new ownership took possession and was NOT impressed. Service was lacking and kitchen and staff seemed to be in a disarray! Overheard some orders getting messed up from customers and longer than normal wait times. Our waitress started us out with drinks then was pulled to another station (cashiering), and it wasnt until after about 5 to 10 minutes and me calling over a young boy working there, was our order taken. Food was bland and not much flavor. I like supporting local businesses as my wife and I live just down the road, but we will not be frequenting this place, unfortunately.

4 /5 Fuentes Mike: UPDATE 08/24 - went back and tried the chocolate chip pancakes again - they are back to being hefty & huge again! A must try if you like pancakes! Update* 06/02/24 - Had a full stack of chocolate chip pancakes today with a side of home fries. I’ve had them both multiple times before. Today, the pancakes were smaller & thinner & the side of home fries were very skimpy for $6.95! The side plate wasn’t even full. Very disappointing to say the least. Not to mention the ice water had a terrible taste. I think I may be done with this place for a while. What a shame! Love this place! Food is always good and portions are very generous. The beer battered fish fry is usually outstanding (we order it crispy). Staff is always friendly and efficient. Sunday we take our granddaughter there for breakfast or lunch. The waitress remembers us and our drink orders. Met the owner (Brian) on our first visit and he was very personal with us. He gave the wife & I free dessert.

3 /5 james natoli: Gave it a try several times with the new owners Very disappointed with inconsistencies from the cook Fish fry for for.dine in.3 arrived on time 4th we were half done.said they were having problem with baked potato.fish was good Several times with group of 6 for breakfast.all had 1 or more not cooked properly. Poached egg on english muffin which was not toasted..home fries overseasoned always.ask for well done they dip in deep frier. Bring it to attention of waitress.she says not surprised.younger owner has zero personality.takes your money and is afraid to ask how your meal was was. Wishing them the best but without a good cook they wont last

5 /5 Heather K The Traveling Mom: Close to hospital. The waitress was so kind. She checked on me a few times to make sure I had enough to drink. Great place to eat. I only gave 4 stars for food because the hot turkey sandwich isnt my favorite, but it is good. I really liked the instant potatoes and gravy. Handicap accessibility ♿️ doors open easily. Bathrooms clean and big enough for a wheelchair.

5 /5 David House: Me and my wife go on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. Food is good and the people working there are very friendly. Always have good service.
