The Wick Restaurant and Lobby bar - Hudson (NY)

5 /5 T M: I stay at The Wick frequently, multiple times each month for work travel, and have received nothing but the highest level of guest/ customer service from the staff here at The Wick. Of note in particular is Maria. Maria always has a smile on her face and greets guests with a warm and inviting welcome. She is attentive, extremely hard working, and makes the BEST cocktails at the bar. She socializes with guests all while being prompt and efficient. Of note as well is Carly. Carly is kind and has always gone the extra mile to accommodate any requests I may have. Both Maria and Carly demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and greatly contribute to the success and high quality of this hotel. If I owned my own business, I would 5/5 want employees such as Maria and Carly on my team. The Wick is very clean, and has comfortable beds with up to date modern decor. They also allow dogs if traveling with a furry friend. Being away from home frequently isn’t easy but staying at The Wick has made it easier, especially thanks to Maria and Carly. As a Marriott Bonvoy member I highly recommend staying at The Wick if traveling to Hudson.

4 /5 Jon Hayes: We stayed at the hotel over MLK weekend and had lunch here. The server suggested the Mac and cheese and to add bacon. We took her recommendation and was not disappointed. It was delicious. We also got the fried chicken sandwich with the waffle fries. The fries were amazing. The sandwich was just okay. Once I added hot sauce to it it was much better.

4 /5 Jay Weiser: Nice place with beautiful views of Hudson Valley mountains and a bit of the river. Standard diner fare. Notwithstanding the listed hours, they are often open only for breakfast and dinner, closing at 11 am and reopening at 5 pm.

1 /5 Lavina Birbal: I generally don’t eat at hotels because the food it terrible and this hotel is no exception to that. I thought I’d give breakfast a shot because I didn’t feel like driving to get breakfast. I got an all American breakfast (basic bacon, eggs, hash) and a side of toast. The breakfast here tastes like salty frozen hotel food. The best part of my breakfast was the toast and the garnish. I regret not taking that 10 min drive to get breakfast. I would have spent half as much and gotten a substantially better breakfast. Please do yourself a favor and take the drive.
