3 /5 Samantha Giselle Ortiz: I’ve been a loyal customer of Honey Nails for a long time, but I wanted to try out ph7 because it came recommended. I booked an appointment with Rita for a gel manicure and pedicure. While I’m happy with the shape of my pedicure, I noticed there was no top coat applied, so I ended up adding one myself at home. Unfortunately, my manicure was less satisfying— my nails look uneven, and my cuticles appear choppy. The atmosphere at ph7 felt a bit unwelcoming/snooty, which isn’t really my vibe. During the appointment, Rita made a few comments that came across as rude. For example, when I asked to keep my nails short, she said, “They can’t get much shorter.” When I couldnt turn my hand any further during my manicure, she made a few comments like , “It’s easy to relax your hand. Look anywhere else but at your hand. You can do it. Good job.” Overall, I didn’t feel as comfortable as I do at Honey Nails. I’ll continue going to Honey, where the staff is friendlier and the quality consistently meets my expectations.

5 /5 Larissa Dzegar: I got my nails done here for my wedding a few days ago and they looked amazing! It was also a really relaxing experience. I got the indulgent pedicure with Betty one day and a regular manicure with Lany the next day. I liked their polish so much I bought it! I loved the atmosphere, the foot massage, the tea, and the service of course. My nails are still perfect several days later, not even a little chip! I’ll be back!

5 /5 Eliza Hecht: My husband and I come here every 2 weeks. Weve had wonderful experiences here. I get gel manicures and it is hard to find someone who takes their time and makes sure they dont damage your nails. Marine always does a wonderful job! Everyone at the salon is extremely friendly and pleasant and the ambience is definitely more comfortable and clean than many places.

2 /5 Nisha S: I’m going to start with saying the people are so nice and service minded, but they have terrible technique. I got my gel nails redone and they filed down my nails until they were paper thin. The nail color started chipping the week after and my nails started breaking within 2 weeks. I had to completely cut my nails short because of the damage they did. What is the point of “natural” nails if your technique leaves customers’ nails weak? I have been doing gel nails for over a year and my nails have never broken like this.

1 /5 Al-nisa: I have been coming to ph7 for a few years now and my most recent experience was by far the worst. I got a gel manicure with a chrome finish which initially turned out to be very cute. However, the next day, the chrome began to wear off with very little activity and one of my nails split at the corner (which has happened on more than one occasion). I reached out immediately and they said they would fix the nails that were damaged, but due to my schedule I had to wait a few more days. In that time, several more nails cracked/broke to the point where I had to remove the gel altogether and wait until they grew back. I was told that my next appointment would be on them. I will add that they didnt specify how much the credit would be, which was my mistake in not confirming. I assumed that since I paid for a specialty gel manicure ($72) that that would be honored on my next visit. I came back and opted for a pedicure. I enjoyed my experience and found the tech to be very thorough. What I did not like is that they did not honor the $72 I spent for the last service. The woman I spoke to said that her manager said they could only do a credit for a basic gel manicure, but that was never communicated to be. Had it been, I wouldve let them know that was an insufficient remedy then and there. So, I paid the difference for the pedicure, expressing my contempt. I was then asked if I was planning on tipping, to which I replied no. I came in under the impression that the service would be free, considering the last time I came and tipped generously the service didnt last 2 days and I spent close to $90. The salon was pretty full and I felt like they were trying to shame me for not tipping, but I wasnt going to be bullied into putting down more money for mediocre customer service. Im sad to no longer be able to patronize this place, but the amount of times Ive spent excessive amounts of money to then have cracked nails within 48hrs is unacceptable and theyre not even apologetic or transparent when it comes to remedying the situation. Its like they dont care because they know people will continue to patronize them. Not me.
