Erica McNeely My normal place was busy so I decided to try this place based on its 4.6 star rating. Unfortunately I am so disappointed in my results. The pedicure was just ok. I asked for Mint and I am positive I got zero mint during the entire pedicure. Secondly, I asked for a simple Mickey Mouse design on two of my fingers (one bigger circle and two smaller circles for his ears) after what felt like a million attempts that all looked like rabbits I asked them to stop because it wasn’t the correct design. Ultimately, the experience was a lot more expensive than my regular place and quality significantly worse. And now I’m about 9 days since the manicure and almost all my nails have cracks and chips. Very disappointing. I’d recommend everyone skip this place.

Brooke Reynolds I live close by and always come in to get my nails done by Maggie! She is the best and every time I get a set from her it lasts three weeks at least. Back massages are also wonderful here! I always feel truly taken care of.

Talia RC Ive been here before because its close by, but have been disappointed several times. Today, when I visited, I was told I had too much gel on and it took a long time to soak. When It was eventually filed off, the dremel was used without care leaving deep divvets in my nails. Later on, when it was clear my manicure was taking longer than expected and other customers were waiting, and my nail tech clearly started rushing. My nails are filed in different shapes and lengths, and my french was done carelessly. There was a lot of nail polish left on my skin, and the colored polish on my french doesnt even reach the top of my nail. Ive been in the salon when others have complained about the same issue. Really disappointing experience - there are several other nail salons in the area that are more careful and spend more time.

Jessica Hains i hate to leave a negative review for a small business, but i’ve now had multiple unpleasant experiences at this salon. most recently, the nail tech was not paying attention and filing the sides of my nails down way too aggressively, which caused the skin on my pinky finger to start bleeding quite a bit. the nail tech was flustered and put some sort of a clear chemical liquid into the open skin to try to stop the bleeding. i don’t know what this was, but it stung and i didn’t feel great about her putting foreign materials into an open wound, especially without being asked. the whole finger was tender to the touch for about a week after which makes me wonder if i had a mild infection.
i understand accidents happen, but nothing was done to remedy the situation (though the nail tech did apologize). i would have appreciated a small discount, complimentary add-on… really anything acknowledging the mistake would’ve been nice. they are also not transparent about pricing and hit me with a +$6 credit card fee at the last minute. i completely understand them preferring cash, but CC pricing or the % fee should be included somewhere on their menu. apart from them pressuring me to take out cash from their ATM, the staff here is largely very nice, but i will not be returning due to there being better salon options in the neighborhood. my gel manicure is also chipping one week after receiving the service.

R I I hate negative reviews but I’ve been here few times and unfortunately had unprofessional service and my ring finger got scratched and irritated after the nail appointment.
Regular Manicure that I got was uneven and bubbles in side of nail.
Great price but still pretty sad with results.
Asked fixed it but got refused.

leah shore Just went with my mom. Got a mani and pedi- worst job I’ve ever had. Didn’t clean my feet well, was lazy about painting my toenails (didn’t cover the whole nail until I asked twice). I am looking at my feet now- they’re still dirty and I will have to go to another salon tomorrow to get them cleaned better. My finger nails are goopy, not shiny, have a weird texture as well. Do not go here.

Angie I’ve been coming to this nail salon for a few months—goodness I’m in love!! I’ve brought my friends here and we’re treated so well, the nail techs are so lovely and Shirley is the sweetest! This is the only nail salon I’ve been to where my acrylic nails actually stay on and never fell off/broke once. I haven’t been able to bite my nails since my birthday and I really, really appreciate you all making my nails look beautiful every few weeks!! Everyone is so nice and welcoming, I wish I could rate this 10/5!! Here’s my last set with one of my friends, we’re obsessed ❤️

Kara Connolly I love this place!! The technicians that I have interacted with here have always been so pleasant & most importantly do a great job & are SO gentle. They have awesome designs and make art out of nails like I havent seen before. I had lost a thumb nail in an accident and was having a hard time growing it in normal, one appt w 5 color and it has grown in completely & in the right shape.
Someone had told me to try this nail salon & Im so happy I did cause its the only one I go to now.
*Updated*
Shirley + staff are the best, they take great care of their regulars. Im always being shown a new design style or suggestions w colors. Same day appts or walk ins. This has been my nail spot for the last couple years now & they do a wonderful job & most importantly their prices are fair & consistent! Too many times I go into the same salon for the same thing yet its a different price everytime. Not here! 100% reccomend.

Lesly Angel I wanted to express my deep disappointment after my recent visit to your salon. When my sister and I walked in, the place looked clean and professional, which gave me high hopes. However, the moment we were directed to the nail technicians, the experience quickly turned sour.
I greeted them politely and asked to see their gel book. Immediately, the technician started emphasizing that French tips would be more expensive—$10 extra for gel and $10 more for French, and she repeated this multiple times in a tone that felt condescending, almost as if she was questioning whether I could afford it. I reassured her that it was fine and proceeded to ask for gel pedicures with French tips for both myself and my sister.
Once seated, she continued to repeat the price increase, which made the situation uncomfortable and frankly, offensive. It felt like I was being judged or singled out. Then to make matters worse, the French lines were poorly done and not up to the standard I expected given the extra cost.
At the end, I paid in cash and was reaching into my bag to leave a $5 tip despite my disappointment. Before I could even hand it over, the technician said “No tip? You didn’t tip the other lady. You need to give a tip.” In my opinion, tips are earned, not demanded—and certainly not before I’ve even had a chance to give one. Her behavior was aggressive, inappropriate, and entirely unprofessional.

Paige Frankel Came for powder manicure with chrome finish. They did a beautiful job. The chrome color I wanted was missing or ran out, and they worked hard to create a similar color for me (testing all of their chrome colors over various base colors — insane service!!) I’ve also had bad experiences in this area so Im psyched to find a place i love!!

Migdalia Martinez If I could rate this less than 1 star I would. I went there got the Gel like she suggested so it could last longer (started chipping the night and day after I got them done) went for a replacement she made me tip again. And now a week later they are coming off fully. THE NAIL IS COMING OUT COMPLETELY! I got Tips, SNS and Gel. Explain this!

Eva M Not clean. The drill bits for my gel manicure were pulled out of a rusty altoid box. I’m pretty sure there is supposed to be a new buffer drill bit used per client but this one looked heavily used. I considered aborting the gel after seeing that but was in too deep. Liners aren’t used in the tubs for pedicures. I got regular polish for my toes and was asked to move to the nail station which was down a couple steps and across the salon with freshly painted toes. It’s a miracle only one got messed up and then the nail tech told me I should have gotten gel on my toes too because it’s better. I found that a little condescending. Gel manicure ended up looking good and lasting a while. Pic is 1 week later. They could have done a better job cleaning up the cuticles which I ended up doing myself at home. The upside is they have friendly service other than the gel comment.

Lisbeth Gil The quality of the nail service I received was unsatisfactory. My friend and I visited the establishment for basic manicures and pedicures. Although the staff was friendly and the environment seemed clean, the actual nail work was poorly done. The nail polish started to chip within two days, and the area around my nails was not cleaned properly. In addition, nail polish was applied to my cuticles. I will not be getting my nails done here again!

Pati Mo Ok so I saw the negative reviews so I was a bit hesitant to go but I have to say, LOVED the experience. The place didn’t reek chemicals like most nail places. Super clean! And I Loved my resulting nails! They were flexible and welcoming to my special color request. It was fast, super neat and they had high-quality technique I thought, so I felt compelled to leave a review to bump up their score. Highly recommend!

Deirdre Sullivan Do not give these scam artists a DIME of your money. I get the same service (gel manicure with tip extensions) at the Graham Ave Cozy nails for $70 and they charged me $135 here. When I brought this up, she mentioned how all the salons on Bedford Ave charge this rate and tried to say that I must have had a different service at the Graham location (it was the exact same). Having your address on Bedford Ave does not give you the right to scam people. This is the most basic manicure (not bad quality but nothing fancy) and I walked out paying $155 with tip. I will not be returning. This entire experience felt like theft.

Piper Martz This is my favorite nail salon in Williamsburg for a gel pedicure! I highly recommend the gel pedicure, which lasts sometimes close to 4-5 weeks with no chipping!
If possible, I recommend coming during a weekday and not too close to closing. I find the nail technicians are much more relaxed, and take their time giving you a very relaxing experience.
Their menu is a bit confusing, but you can pay a little extra to get an olive or lavender treatment on top of your pedicure. It’s amazing and definitely worth it if the salon is not rushed and they truly give you full add on experience. The 10 min foot massage and the leg mask are amazing!
I tried to come on a Tuesday evening or Wednesday afternoon if I can slip away from work for an hour.
I’m giving 4 stars bc the quality of the experience is simply not so great when they are rushed and very busy. Often making you wait 15 to 20 minutes because they’ve double booked (even if you made an appointment in advance). Or if they are really busy, they will sometimes switch your nail technician mid-service which isnt great.

Ken Yankel This salon was not equipped to do art decals. I showed them an image they weren’t able to replicate and had to settle on a less intricate design. This too was done poorly.
There were multiple times when getting my gel set was painful as well. Lastly this salon is overpriced. I paid $130 for a gel manicure and with a simple design.
If you want a solid color you should be fine but anything else I recommend finding another location.

Cassandra Basile First time getting nail extensions, they took me as a walk in and helped talk me through the process. I was the last customer to leave as they closed but they didn’t rush my nails. Would definitely come back here!

They were happy to try and make my inspo pictures work, being transparent about what they could do, the cost assoc and what their design recommendations were to balance my wants and the structure of the nail so itd last as long as possible.
Overall really cute place w nice atmosphere, helpful & talented staff and decent prices .

The prices are surprisingly fair compared to other salons. The workers take their time on your nails and doing the job right. They know what they are doing, giving recommendations that they believe that are best for you. I love the fact that they properly clean my nails, making them look brand new. I highly recommend coming to place to get your nails done.

seriamente seriamente Worst service and experience ever. When I arrived to this place there were 3ppl being serviced. I asked for a mani pedi, mani to be done with SNS powder. The tech started with my pedi that lasted all about 15min. I get it my feet didn’t need much done , no foot rub and nails chipped within two days.
By the time she finished my pedi they had a few more people. She soaked my nail in pure acetone. When I asked her why is she not wrapping them individually like in other professional places, she said this is faster. To rub my nails in the acetone with the paper towel. She then left me sitting there while she went off to help someone else that needed tips!!!!! We all know how long that takes!!! 30min when by……. She had seated me with my back turned away from everyone so when I turned around to call her because one of my nails broke off. She was un-interested and said it was ok she could add a tip. I was furious asked for the manager/owner that usually sits in the front and she was not in. Look at the video and the pictures. Not only did the acetone break my nails it also burned my skin! Because ladies this is not something you should do!!!!! Read the warning labels on your product!!!!! Freaking google it!
I made a mistake was tired and didn’t want to go into the city to get my nails done. Had been there before and it was easy and near my place. Other mistake was clearly letting her do this and sitting me with my back to them all. I know better!
I am writing this review so you ladies don’t make the same mistake and trust in the lies. I had to walk out and go somewhere else to fix the damage they created!
Find better places to go to THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!

Dontaya Bobb By far, my worst nail salon experience. The place isn’t the cleanest. Their floors needed to be mopped and they offered me sandals that were clearly used because they weren’t white anymore. More like a greyish color. I’m not sure if their utensils were sanitized but they definitely looked questionable. I asked swap out of the salon sandals into my own after my pedicure and was offered no help. I asked for my skin not my cuticles to be cut and low and behold my skin was cut. My skin peels really bad afterwards so I wanted to avoid this at all cost. Still no success. I ended up leaving with my nails not polished looking how they are in my photo and they still charged me full price for a manicure. With a customer not being listened to nor satisfied, I would have appreciated better service. Probably doesn’t need to be said, but I won’t be returning back. It’s filthy and the service is terrible.

Munoz Estrella (iG Estrella_302) The first time I came here when it opened I had a positive experience. I continue to come here because it is the closest to my place, affordable, and clean. However, if I’ve been here 7 times, they’ve cut my toe 5 times, one time I was bleeding a bit and they do seem rushed all the time. So it’s difficult because the price range is good and the polish job is good but I come hoping to not be jabbed each time wanting a positive experience 100% again.

Mimi Martinez The worst nails I’ve ever gotten in my life. I left this nail salon with my nails hurting. I asked for French tip and she did such a terrible job that I literally had to tell her to paint over the nails with a different color. I’m not the one to write a bad review but this was the worst nail experience of my life. I almost cried. Like what in the world is this ? How can you mess up a simple French tip? Waist of my money i will never got here again. All the nails are crooked and it’s not even square it’s wider than square. I am devastated.

Malak Bitar I made an appointment the day before. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment. When I walked in I told them I had an appointment, I was told to have a seat. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked how much longer I’d have to wait. I was told I’d wait 10 or 15 more minutes with a disrespectful hand gesture. I left because I go to get my nails done as an act of wellness not to get stressed. I walked down the street and walked into WellZen Lounge where I got a really nice manicure and a great service!

The woman was extremely rough where I told her "no thats okay, please stop". She continued. I went to dry and then left. The next day my toe was so painful. I didnt realize how bad my pedicure was. That shape was horrible. She didnt cut it or shape it. She left my cuticle and surrounding skin. I dont know what took over an hour. I also mentioned this to the owner.

Jazmyne Pink UPDATE RESPONSE TO OWNER: *please see photo of owners response*
Your disrespect is loud and clear it’s JAZMYNE. I have no reason to lie just like you tried to gaslight me in person with my bf. Your math in your response still doesn’t add up to $86…I know what I asked for. Also, I did come in with my hands looking just like these photos which was taken that same morning. Once again your statement is contradicting to the proof. I never was given an option of the two removals types you mentioned nor do you address why my treatment was different from those I came with. I’m not even going go to address the race comment bc there’s many reviews on here from POC that prove my point. I’m sorry you’re upset about my comment but maybe instead of gaslighting ex patron you should learn to say sorry and focus on training your workers properly to keep the clientele you do have.
UPDATE: I went in the next morning to let them know my service was horrible to which she saw my nail and agreed. But I was told that I should’ve spoken up in the moment and they had a busy day and we were their last appointment. Literally any excuse but blaming a customer is wild. Worst customer service ever I only got $25 of the $86 I was charged back. The “manager” couldn’t do the math of how I was charged $86 and my bf and friend different. I was so frustrated I took what I could get and left. I won’t be returning and will tell anyone who will listen do not go here!
Worst experience ever! I will never be back!! I paid $86 for a pedicure and manicure.
With my pedicure it was the $45 callus removing one which I never got a 6 minute massage that is advertised and my feet still feel as though they are rough still bc they did not use a callus removing scraper.
Now the $41 manicure… So my friend and I both had gel on our nails from previous appt. They used the soaking with foil and a motorized tool to remove her gel and I was subjected to a tool they use to push cuticles back and a nail filler. I didn’t want any polish and just wanted a good clean and cutting of my nail. Look at the photo zoomed in you will see my cuticles are not cleaned there random chunks cut and not even I still have residue on my nails from the gel I had on before. Honestly might get an infection they are so red on one of my hands. Also she cut me and I was bleeding from cuticle and she just wiped it no sorry or anything.
My friend was charged $80 for her GEL mani/pedi
My boyfriend $40 we got the same pedicure
So the math is not adding up…this is very disappointing
This is my 3rd time here I had stopped going bc the second time I went I believed I was over charged but now that I have evidence bc of the people with me I will no longer be going back. I was with my white boyfriend and my white friend and I’m a black woman and this treatment just didn’t sit right with me at all. This was just so horrible overall.

Lina Jaramillo I’ve been coming to this place for almost a year now and just realized I had never left a review. I’m genuinely surprised to see any negative comments because my experience has always been excellent.
I usually come for a gel manicure, regular pedicure, and waxing. I’ve seen different technicians, and they are all great — the space is clean, and the music is calming.
I think some of the concerns I read in these reviews may come from a language barrier, but in my experience, everyone has always been kind and professional.
I’ll definitely continue coming back — Angie, Maira, Maria, Nancy, and Tatiana are the best!

Libby Atterbury Had a great manicure here - I got the Japanese gel style - I felt the technicians really cared about the health of my nails.
My only issue is that they require you to pay for gel removal (I think it was $7-9), I am confused if I will need to pay if I return to this salon as a regular - at that point it should just be included in the price of a gel manicure.
Otherwise, tons of clear appointment times (can book online), clean, kind staff!
Will likely be back - as I moved to the area and appreciate the dedicated concern to the health of my nails.
I think for gel removal + japanese gel + tip I paid about $90

Laura This is my new favorite neighborhood nail spot! I get Japanese gel for about $65. The first time I got it, it lasted a month! The second time, one nail chipped a few days after I got them done and they fixed it for free! They said within 7 days they will fix it for free.
It’s also just such a calm vibe inside, doesn’t give me a headache with fumes because they use nontoxic products. Pedicures are also good and they do really good callus removal. Love it here will never stop coming!

Samantha Giselle Ortiz I’ve been a loyal customer of Honey Nails for a long time, but I wanted to try out ph7 because it came recommended. I booked an appointment with Rita for a gel manicure and pedicure. While I’m happy with the shape of my pedicure, I noticed there was no top coat applied, so I ended up adding one myself at home. Unfortunately, my manicure was less satisfying— my nails look uneven, and my cuticles appear choppy.
The atmosphere at ph7 felt a bit unwelcoming/snooty, which isn’t really my vibe. During the appointment, Rita made a few comments that came across as rude. For example, when I asked to keep my nails short, she said, “They can’t get much shorter.” When I couldnt turn my hand any further during my manicure, she made a few comments like , “It’s easy to relax your hand. Look anywhere else but at your hand. You can do it. Good job.”
Overall, I didn’t feel as comfortable as I do at Honey Nails. I’ll continue going to Honey, where the staff is friendlier and the quality consistently meets my expectations.

I got the indulgent pedicure with Betty one day and a regular manicure with Lany the next day. I liked their polish so much I bought it! I loved the atmosphere, the foot massage, the tea, and the service of course. My nails are still perfect several days later, not even a little chip! I’ll be back!

Eliza Hecht My husband and I come here every 2 weeks. Weve had wonderful experiences here. I get gel manicures and it is hard to find someone who takes their time and makes sure they dont damage your nails. Marine always does a wonderful job! Everyone at the salon is extremely friendly and pleasant and the ambience is definitely more comfortable and clean than many places.

Z M They helped me in the last minute for a new year party at the beginning of December. They made an excellent job with my nails, very professional. It is almost a month, and my nails are not damaged at all. Everyone complemented me for the nails. Mia was the one who did a great job with my nails. And yes, if you have kids, they are kids friendly. They have affordable prices. Highly recommend Le Charme Nail Spa.

Fallon Barr I’ve been coming to Le Charme for about two years now. They’ve always done a fantastic job, so this review is a long time coming!! Ann is phenomenal! You can tell how much passion she has for the craft and artistry that goes into her work. Every time I come in, I leave happy and excited, unable to take my eyes off my nails. This time is no exception! It’s the best manicure I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to see her again!! No matter who does your manicure or pedicure at Le Charme, you’re bound to walk out feeling your best self!! Thank you so much, everyone!! Meghana Manis Pretty disappointed as I decided to go there based on the positive reviews. I had a dip powder manicure and a normal pedicure (price $85 + $15 tip). It was the first time I ever had a dip powder manicure and I was highly disappointed.
The manicurist shaped my nails unevenly and I could still see the whites of my nails show through the colour when I pointed this out, she said she couldn’t do anything about it and said it wasn’t a noticeable from far away. I also pointed out that the finishing coat on my nail got smudged and she said it wouldn’t effect it but unfortunately it did cause I now have a rough patch on my thumb.
The pedicure wasn’t great either as my nails were filed unevenly.
The whole experience wasn’t relaxing and actually quite stressful. I left feeling quite distressed. I did tell the lady at the till about the rough patch on the thumb and she did offer to fix it the next day but I decided not to go back.

Elizabeth Kats They found a customer for as long as Im able to come here.
Jennie and Jason serviced me and they are amazing, attentive, and meticulous! This spa is spacious, more than enough pedicure and hand service stations, it was amazing to walk into.
As soon as I walked in Jennie greeted me and showed me to the pedicure chair. The massage chair actually works which was much needed.
I got the Lavender Spa Pedicure and acrylic/gel custom design. In the pedicure, it included a 5 minute leg/foot massage (thank you Jennie for being patient, I am ticklish AF). For my acrylic set, I showed Jason the picture I wanted and what I wanted, I GOT!
I see other negative reviews and not sure where those were coming from but my experience was great and I will come back religiously. I hope my review helps others try despite the negative reviews!

Kristina I have gone 2 times now and get my nails done by Cynthia and she is amazing! There is nothing she can’t do. I come with a vision in mind and executes it FLAWLESSLY, the staff is so nice, it is very clean, and super welcoming. Also the little 5 minute massage you get when you get your nails done is everything. 1000/10 would recommend!

Eva DC I’ve been a loyal customer of this nail salon since their days at Court Street many years ago, and here’s why I’ve stayed with them for so long:
1) A warm, friendly atmosphere paired with a team that works cohesively like family.
2) They stick to what they do best, consistently delivering quality while refining their skills.
3) Clients’ needs always come first. They listen carefully, respect preferences, and provide personalized service with a human touch.
4) Honest recommendations — no hidden charges or pushy upselling.
5) Professional aftercare support to keep your nails flawless.
Even after moving to Boston for a year and recently relocating back, I still return here for my go-to relaxation ritual. This place never disappoints!

Brooke Miller For the past 2+ years I’ve been regularly going to D+W. I’ve had nail services from various people and have found Vivi and Sophia to be the most efficient in providing strong powder base manicures that last ~3 weeks. I appreciate the fact that they offer a warranty card in case of breakages within a select timeframe. They offer great manicures and relaxing pedicures. I can’t imagine going anywhere else in the neighborhood.

Jessica Komaromy It was about 30 min to close when I arrived without an appt. I paid a 50 plus with tip for a pedicure that was worth 20 max. Super basic with a quick massage but little attention to the basic pedicure things like softening the heal or removing any extra skin on my toes. I honestly have never had a pedicure that lacked the basics. 10 out of 10 would not recommend. There are better places out there.

amiraksan I had gotten a organic prada pedicure which included callus care, mud mask foot/leg scrub and a 20 min foot massage which was $72. For the foot massage and environment......it was worth it.the lady who worked on my feet...her name is liza....she is amazing... the place is very calm, relaxing, and also no smell of toxic chemicals. Plus all thw workers wore ppes plus the owner did a temp check on me before i went in further. Go there!
So update for April 2025.... I went there earlier today after work cause I had a stressful day and I badly needed quiet time and some calm. When I got there it was 5:45pm and the lady spoke said they could see me at 6:30pm so I waited. It was very crowded and warm weather I suppose. When I was my turn, I saw a lady named Dil who did my spa pedicure and she did an amazing job. Mind you this was towards the end of the day and I was a walk in. I was seen and the crowded room whittle down to 3 people which I was thrilled which I badly needed that quiet time. I saw the reviews and honestly, every persons experience is different. It does also depend on who you get too. It started out hectic for me but became quiet and calm in the middle towards the end of the day. Maybe come when its not so crowded?
